Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa is a beautiful historic hotel located in the charming old town of Radda in Chianti. The hotel is wonderfully designed as a whole, offering excellent services. Perched on a hilltop, it boasts stunning views over the rolling hills of Tuscany. We stayed in the Suite Leopold, which was very spacious and beautifully decorated, featuring plenty of historical details of the building. The suite had comfortable beds and offered excellent value for money. Small dogs are also warmly welcome to stay. The hotel also features a lovely sun terrace with two jacuzzi, which can be reserved for private use for two hours – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Tuscan sunshine. Guests also have access to a swimming pool located about five kilometres away, as well as to the hotel’s own indoor pool and spa facilities. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with eggs, bacon, cheeses, cold cuts, three types of juice, bread, delicious sweet pastries, jams, fresh fruit, and a tasty avocado spread for bread. The cappuccino was excellent and served to the table. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent and attentive, and the cleanliness was of a high standard. There is also a large free parking area, which is a great advantage. I warmly recommend Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa to anyone visiting the area!

Unfortunately, some breakfast items had already run out about half an hour before the official closing time.

The room was spacious, bathroom a bit cramp but well organized. The breakfast buffet was really good and the staff are super friendly. We stayed for two nights, could have easily spend another few days in the Chianti area.

We were looking forward to the use of the pool, but that was 5 kilometers by car to another hotel of the same chain. We did go but we would of course have preferred to have the pool with the hotel - perhaps we should have investigated this more beforehand as the property is in the center of the miniscule medieval village. The indoor pool is more a family jacuzzi that needs to be reserved.

Even the classic room was spacious, clean, the bed was big and comfortable and the airconditioning was actually cooling the room (not always a guarantee in Italy). The breakfast was the best we've had in two weeks of Italy and the lady (blue hairtone) serving coffees at the breakfast was amazing, she makes you feel warm and welcomed instantly!. The outdoor jacuzzi set up with the beds was also good for a nice relaxing wind down im the heat, with the wine dispenser and small snack as a perfect addition.

On Friday night we discovered the hard way that our room was directly above a bar with live music and a DJ set. So not recommended for early sleepers, unless you can sleep through a lot of noise. Also there were many mosquitos in the room, bring some repellent! One of the receptionists was really unfriendly ( a man), would recommend he goes on a hospitality course for a refresher.

The overall feeling of the hotel was very good and the private access to the swimming pool was a nice gesture. We were upgraded to a suite with great views across the Tuscan hills. The views are amazing and access to the shops and bars is an easy walk. Staff are very friendly and professional and always there to give advice. You can drive and park to the hotel front door to offload your luggage and then park nearby. A slight inconvience, but not a major concern. Breakfast was good, with great staff and a good selection of breakfast food.

We tried the restaurant on the first night and although it was adequate, we felt it could have been better. Our meal was standard and a bit rushed. We would have liked a drink before sitting down but there is no bar. They do have a wine tasting machine, but not the same as an apero before dinner. There is a good choice of other restaurants nearby.

We loved the medieval buildings and architecture, as well as the aerial views from the terrace and town hill. The hotel offered beautiful rooms, exceptional hospitality, and delicious Italian food. The private pool felt exclusive, and we appreciated the friendliness of the locals.

Breakfast may be richer. The air conditioning did not work in one of the rooms, and the pool requires some renovation. Although we had access to the spa, no one explained how to use it or encouraged us to enjoy the facilities. We also confirmed our dinner reservation, but we had to follow up on it ourselves. Outdoor jacuzzis were not available, even though they could have been.

the place is unique and have a special atmosphere. The rooms are basic and sufficient. the bathroom is spotlessly clean. the breakfast was very good; it was tasty with lots of varieties. we would not recommend the dinner menu; it was not worth the cost.

the rooms which are on the main street side are noisy due to the adjacent bar activity. we couldn't sleep as the talking and laughing were very loud. we asked the reception to change the room, and they did it on the next morning without further delays. the rest of the rooms are very quiet.

The room was very comfortable, large bed, good matress and clean linen. The bathroom was good, luminous and clean with a shower, toilet, bidet and large mirror and sink area with some place to put our things. AC worked well, and the big windows faces the church square. The TV was connected and could also work with Chromecast. The parking was close by and practical, with private spots and free overflow public spots if needed. We did not try the interior pool, but we took advantage of the 2 jaccuzzis outside and the sunbeds: it is easy to book them for 2 hours. They are fully exposed in the morning, in the shade in the evening. The location was perfect to drive the scenic roads to Florence or Sienna, and the small town had several restaurants, a bakery and a few shops so we could stay there for a day if we wished to. The staff was very nice and helpful, they were able to answer our questions and fulfill our requests quickly.

Not a big negative, but there is no outside pool directly at the hôtel. They partner with another hôtel a short distance away if you want to enjoy a fresh outdoor pool.

This hotel is a beautifully renovated property and the owner has kept its character. We were upgraded to a junior suite, room 3 was large and had lots of character with an adjoining en suit. The furniture suited the style of the hotel it was situated in the magical quiet village of Radde in Chianti with magnificent views over the Tuscan hills. The hotel restaurant was excellent as was breakfast and all the staff were extremely helpful. In fact it was more fitting of a 5 star hotel.its a romantic getaway for any couple young and old. We would love to return in the future.

The only thing lacking in the room was a coffee/tea station.

The place was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfy. Gorgeous chandelier hanging from the wooden rafters above our king sized bed in a beautifully rustic room! The indoor heated underground pool was amazing but only available by appointment daily for 45 minutes. Access to the Spa was a plus for $25 pp for the 1.5 hour Wellness Path experience. Rooms are available in 3 separate buildings in close proximity to each other with reading and drinking nooks and crannies in all. Breakfast was wonderful and had lots options, but was 13 euros pp per day as it was not included in our package. 2 beautiful restaurants to choose from on property we only tried one as the other was closed the day we wanted to book it. Lots of other restaurant options available in this quaint little town and they were all wonderful! Views were amazing from everywhere!! It was truly a magical place!

Staff was not extremely helpful when answering questions giving minimum responses at best but it may have been due to language barrier We found info mostly by accident or searching on our own. Not enough info or signage for available amenities like the pool, gym and cooking classes which was a much better deal when booking the room package on their site as opposed to the $150 per person they wanted to charge us for the class. We were SO excited to see a king sized bed which was very comfy if you stayed on your side of the bed as it was 2 twins pushed together with no strip down the middle to connect.

This hotel is in a perfect location. The rooms were big, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom modern and clean. I enjoyed the free indoor (and private) pool, and the terrace off the main lobby overlooking this incredible view with access to a wine dispenser. Staff were nice.

The walls in this hotel are really thin, and you could hear everything from every room. When the listing says "shuttle to airport," what they mean is that they will call you a cab that will cost 200 euros, which isn't at all the same thing. They never recommended the much cheaper (though more complicated) bus, which costs just 7 euros. The hotel peddles this 'wellness path' at the spa attached to the hotel and it was really not good and thus not recommended at all. There are way better things to do for 25 euros.
