Central location hotel with modern facilities & friendly staff

They don't have a pool, it's actually a spa pool & it's €100 for 2 hrs per person, which is outrageous. The advertising is misleading, making out you can swim in an indoor pool. You get a message 2 days prior to check that you to pay to use it. It's quite cheeky & the spa should be a part of your hotel rate like all other hotels. It was empty... I wonder why?

Really nice hotel with a lively courtyard of small restaurants. Lovely rooms, mine had a terrace on the courtyard where it was nice to relax in the early evening with a drink. Very large room and bathroom, well supplied with amenities, coffee, and water. It is very very clean and well tended property. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, especially the gentleman who helped with valet and luggage. Easy to walk to the Castello area and see that older part of town with great views and the beautiful cathedral. Also easy to drive out to poetto beach area in less then 15 min. Or on to Villasimius for a nice day trip up the coast.

Honestly cannot think of anything I didn't like. It is a nice luxury hotel.

For the past 5 years we have been coming to Cagliari every year and this was our first time in Palazzo Doglio. We have decided that this will be the only hotel we will be staying at from now on. Whole hotel is decorated very tastefully and the atmosphere is very nice. The rooms are spacious, very clean and have a great ambiance. Beds are exceptionally comfortable and bathrooms could not be more perfect. We had a bathtub, shower, bidet and two sinks. We appreciated linen slippers (that were changed after a few days) and great quality of towels, bathrobes, etc. All the skin and hair products are simply amazing. We also appreciated that they brought us personalized Palazzo Doglio water many times during the day. The staff is very attentive, helpful and extremely nice. The hotel is a 5 min walk to one of the main walking streets in the city center but the location is perfect. Because of the lively atmosphere in the courtyard you kind of get a feeling that the hotel has a city center of its own. Having breakfast outside in this courtyard felt very nice. It is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed at and cannot wait to return next year.

We stayed with my girlfriend at Palazzo Hotel for 9 days during our vacation to Sardinia. I have nothing but positive feedback for the accommodation. Very comfortable and clean room, which was also cleaned and tidied up two times per day. Friendly staff, always smiling and happy to serve. Special mention to Claudia, who was often going the extra mile to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Full transparency in terms of costs (no hidden costs or weird fees).

Perhaps the only thing that I could mention as a very minor disadvantage is that there is no parking included in the price. There are a couple of options that the hotel offers (1 private hotel garage at a rate of 20 EUR per day and 1 public parking with plenty of space for the price of 10 EUR per day).

Superb service - efficient without being "intrusive". Room was excellent. Housekeeping did fantastic job and the room smelled lovely when we returned in evening. Breakfast was good - plenty of choices. Balcony was huge with lovely furniture. (Superior Double on 3rd floor - no floors above - which was great.) Situation excellent - easy walking distance to the centre and restaurants bars historic centre. Supermarket and tobac onist 5 mins walk away. Setting was superb - stunning - overlooking the fountain coutyard each evening with live music (which finished at a reasonable time) so guests were not kept awake. Bed was massive - would say superking size and SO comfortable. Lovely to have a decent fridge in room and good coffee maker for that all important coffee before breakfast. Nice touch to have an umberella in wardrobe - yes we did get one rainy evening. Loved that there was choice of at least 5 restaurants in the courtyard ranging in price and menus - this was great on arrival and our final evening when we did not want to walk after long day. Hotel on pricey side - but it lived up to it's price tag - so many 5 star hotels do not. Highly recommend.

We loved staying at the Palazzo Doglio, the room was comfortable, the balcony large and location wise it was a cool 10minute stroll to the centre which on a lazy holiday is lovely, it didn't feel unsafe whilst walking around the city, people were friendly and accommodating. Did a boat trip with the hotel which was lovely too. We ate at all the other restaurants in the Palazzo from sushi to pizza, fine cuisine it was all yummy, highly recommend. I would definitely stay there again!! A big thank you to the ladies of the hour, Valeria, Aurora and Sonia - these ladies made our rooms spotless each time. And of course the breakfast was lovely, coffees amazing and staff were lovely too, so (in no particular order) thank you to Alessandro, Michelle, Claudio, Mary, Alberto, Luca, Denise and Lorenzo (thank you for that pizza spot) :D

It would be great to have free daily water as complimentary when staying for a quite some days, its something I am used to having at other hotel stays. Maybe switch up the breakfast daily sliced fruits available if possible for some variety. If you're someone exploring historical sites and are up early with sleep early, the balcony room is quite noisy with live music being played up to 11pm, though it was lovely and beautiful, for early night sleeps, it wasn't sound proof with the balcony. General transport: Watch out for bus transport officers, we witnessed many tourists hit with 55 euro fines without compassion because they bought tickets but didn't know how to validate (machines sometimes at the back of buses and too cramped).

daily buffet breakfast was wonderful. scrambled eggs are light and not over cooked. for an additional 10 euro the salmon scramble is 5star!. you can see management hires great people and those people treat customers with a very caring professional style!

checking in very late could have been a better experience.

For a five star hotel, some missing: - room not enough soundproof (cause of the marble maybe, we can ear chair, cleaning, walking, light below the door…) - all Chanel on the tv except French one - good breakfast but classic for this kind of hotel, extra on charge - spa is an extra! Not clearly explain on the description

Very welcoming & friendly staff. Quick check in to a clean spacious room. Comfortable large bed, superb shower, big TV. The staff were excellent all week, and recognised us by name. The courtyard with the bar and various restaurants was great - good variety on your doorstep.

It got a little noisy outside but it is quite a busy working city so it’s not surprising. We did have an issue with our air conditioning not really cooling the room enough, but it wasn’t bad.

Having spent 10 days in a (suboptimal) vacation apartment, we decided to end our workation with two nights at Doglio. It is located a mere 10-15 minute walking distance from the touristic buzz of the old-town. As we already know the old-town, Doglio was the perfect place to enjoy tranquility, excellent food and wine. The rooms are beautiful and quiet, and the staff was phenomenally friendly and service minded. In addition, the hotel annex also houses a filial of our most favourite Pirani (la Brasserie - grazie Alessio!) Grazie mille!
