Our leisure trip turned into a serious family emergency. It was exhausting, to say the least. Going back to the Chalet was a breath of fresh air for us. The rooms were very well kept and the beds… we slept hard and well because the beds were so comfy. Our hostess was such a kind and hard working lady. She made sure we had everything we needed. On our checkout she was so kind I nearly cried. Having a coffee shop next door and a frozen yogurt shop across the street also made it nice! The location was perfect. I will be back to stay. I want to tell the Chalet thank you for their kindness and concern over our situation. What a great place to stay!

We were able to park right in front of our room. Large refrigerator, big vanity countertop, large trash can, easy check-in and check-out, very clean. Walking distance to The Scoop and Sloth Cookies (best ice cream and cookies ever), a mile away from Honolulu Grill.

Although the non-contact method of checking in and out was convenient and seamless, I wish the office was open when we arrived and left. When I took a shower at night, I couldn’t figure out how to get the water to be any warmer than very lukewarm.

First of all, the room had been completed updated with modern furnishings and fixtures--not outdated fixtures from 30 years ago. It was also spit-spot clean. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked great--important since it was over 100 degrees that day. Loved the little koi pond in the back--what a fun little nook! We were welcomed by the manager and she was very helpful and friendly. The charging ports worked great, and the whole hotel looked very cute and kept up.

A spare blanket in the room would have been helpful. I got cold during the night, but the others in our party wanted the AC on still, so I had to go out to the car to get another blanket. Also, I would have liked to know when I booked the room that there was no elevator, since that would have impacted my choice of rooms. Fortunately my husband was able to get my suitcase up the stairs. And finally, the fridge was set really low and the salad I brought home after lunch--as well as everything else we tucked in the fridge--froze solid. That was a bummer. There's not really a way to check on how cold the fridge gets and where you need to set it when you're only staying a day or two.

The room was spacious and clean. Check-in was fast and easy. I was worried that because the room was so close to a busy road that it would be noisy, but I didn't notice any noise from the road during the night. It was located within short walking distance of restaurants (Morty's is great for breakfast sandwiches and lunch!), and easy access to hiking, biking, the university, and most other attractions that people would be visiting St. George for. Towels and bedding were good quality. Microwave and mini-fridge.

Access to the parking lot is a little tricky. There's no pool or breakfast... but again, close to restaurants. It's not fancy, but perfectly adequate for a comfortable stay for a reasonable price.

When I saw all the high reviews for this little motel that was also unbelievably cheap, I was very skeptical. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Not only was the check-in process super easy (we were arriving late, but we called and got instruction to use the lockbox), the room was super clean and updated. A lot of times when you’re traveling, you just want a no-frills, no complications, nice, clean, quiet place to get a good night’s rest, and this place hits the spot. To be honest, this quaint place punches way above its weight, and is nicer and cleaner than many places that we’ve stayed at that costed many times more. Also, we loved that there weren’t a million small lights in the room, like alarm clocks that you can’t dim, or smoke detectors that are waaaay too bright, etc.This properly was super thoughtful and did not have any of those distractions. Very comfy beds and sheets too. We had a very restful night here. Thank you so much, and will definitely stay here again!

Maybe lids for the coffee cups? No real complaints really - We just loved this place!

We travel through St. George every spring and fall and have struggled to find a “go-to” lodging that is comfortable, convenient and good value. The Chalet nailed all three with room to spare. An older property, it has just been thoroughly and tastefully updated top to bottom, inside and out. None of that fresh carpet/ paint approach that still leaves an old AC unit wheezing and clanking all night and the bathroom door not latching. Everything was like new, the room and bath were spacious, the decor was fresh and modern, the beds were comfortable and the bath linens were nice. The location was convenient to the interstate and our favorite St George restaurant (the Red Fort) but still quiet. I was a little sad there was no one-cup coffee maker for a better cup of coffee in the morning, but that will not stop us from staying there next time. There is no on-site breakfast, but those are typically so awful, we were happy to pay slightly less for the room and go elsewhere to eat.

Everything was clean. the Chalet is a clear stand out in as far as bed comfort. I did use the Wifi but that was not the fault of the Chalet, I just didnt use it. I also really like that they reach out to you before you arrive and they make the room nice and cool before getting there

Honestly, there is not a lot to dislike. I don't love the location, that cant be changed. And there is not anything like a provided breakfast or pool, but that is not the most important thing to me.

Have stayed at the Chalet several times. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I have been able to depend on this consistency each time I need to stay overnight in St. George and have to reserve a place to stay.

I didn't like that a staff member was not available the entire day on the day I checked out. I needed to extend my stay another night and was not able to get hold of anyone; no one in the office, and no return phone call until late in the afternoon. By the time I received a call back I had already booked at another place in St. George. The person that returned my call didn't express an remorse when I told them that I had to do this.

We were charge $50 dollars for having a bike in the room, when it was a Half Ironman weekend, so the hotel was sold out, every guest had a bike. There was no damage in the room.

The fact that they took advantage that that weekend was a race and we were charged $50 as a guarantee, nothing happened at the room, and we were charged.

The manager, Christeen was lovely and super helpful. Our room was bright, modern, and super clean and quiet. We went there to run the St. George Marathon and originally picked this location because it was less than a mile from the finish line and based on all the other well-deserved positive reviews. The property and the staff really added to my enjoyment of the weekend and I would stay there again.
