The landscaping and interior decor were stunning. The entire property was spotless, inside and out. We stayed in the Homestead, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on.

The river was low, so there wasn’t much access to moving water. It was very hot outside, so a pool or dip in the river would’ve been welcomed.

Unbelievable! Absolutely beautiful setting overlooking the river. Wonderful hotel with themed rooms, we stayed in 'wild west' and the room had quirky references to this theme, including a saddle as a toilet roll holder. Bathroom had a copper slipper bath tub. Loved it all! Fabulous facilities including the outdoor 20 seat hot tub. We only stayed one night during the holiday season but wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely has the wow factor

The scenery, river access in the back, pool table, library, themed room (The Shady Lady), food was great. Got to see a little baby deer 🦌on the front porch.

The place is beautiful and cozy. The room was perfectly clean and very comfortable. I live the balcony with view to the river It’s right on the center and walking distance to everything that we wanted to visit They put water and pastries at the libby every day and also wine on the afternoons

I didn’t love the breakfast but it was ok

More counter space in the bathroom and hooks to hang towels on the back of the bathroom door or walls. Also same in shower need hooks.

Staff were excellent. Location could not be better. Breakfasts really good. Somewhere would definitely return, and many guests we met had been coming again and again over some years

There was nothing negative about our experience at all. All good.

Location , the hotel and views were exceptional. Quant, quiet, fun and beautiful. Breakfast by Garrett was excellent . Cinnamon rolls especially, along with frittata. All staff were superb, friendly, knowledgeable. Liz, Karen, and Didi.

Only that they were out of bar soap for a day, no big deal though to use liquid soap. Train horn noise in morning was a bit of an issue but that’s just part of historic Gruene.

Very lovely Inn. Staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was great!

It is a bit pricey. There was a big crack in the ceiling in our room.

Superb rooms, spotlessly clean fabulous location. Thoughtfull ice water and snacks available

Breakfast was appaling. Some greasy cremated bacon dried up quiche buscuits and gravy. No bread available, some eggs would have been good. Hardly the 'chef prepared' breakfast they advertised on arrival.

Everything was clean. service was excellent and the special touches were perfect! breakfasts were Amazing!
