Fort Villa is a beautiful, romantic and historic structure within the fort of the city, with comfortable and beautiufl rooms and a welcoming reception. We truly appreciated the free room upgrade, which allwed us to enjoy the view on the city and a wonderful, large and tasteful ly furnished room. Although reaching the hotel with luggage is not very easy, the hotel staff is extremely helpful and will offer to carry your baggage from the taxi station, while you enjoy the short walk through the narrow and pictoresque streets of the fort to the hotel.

Too bad breakfast is not available.

This hotel is truly a cut above any I’ve stayed at in India. The building is beautiful with a truly Boutique feel, carved out of yellow sandstone complemented with soft lighting. We found the room to be really special with hand painted ceilings and an amazing balcony with astonishing position atop the castle battlements. The service was very professional, with advice / recommendations being handed out objectively. Could not recommend more highly.

We had just the most amazing experience at Fort Villa, Jaisalmer. We got to live within the fort, it felt like being a part of history. The rooms were elegantly decorated and captured the essence of Jaisalmer. The rooms are exactly like shown in the photos. Something that was not expected in even our wildest dreams was the service we got. Deepak ji went out of his way at every moment of our stay to make sure we had the best time and memories. All recommendations and arrangements from him were top class. The place was amazing but the people made our experience special. Thank you Deepak ji, Manish ji and Golu! We will never forget you.

We stayed for 2 days. Luckily we got the free upgrade to a beautiful and aesthetic room. The view from the balcony and rooftop view is great especially during the sunrise and sunset. The staff is very helpful. Deepak ji is a great host. He has tremendous knowledge about Rajasthan culture, places and food. It was really good to listen to him about his experiences. Waiting for him to club those stories into a podcast 😅. He recommended the Shreeji restaurant which turned out to be really good. He helped to arrange for a taxi and camping site in khuri. Awesome experience in khuri. The property is under the fort area. By walking , you can easily access forts , temples , shops. The room was nice and clean, all the amenities were provided.

I wouldn't say i didn't like it but if the food service was there , it could have been a nice add on. But yeah lots of cafes around this place so really not an issue.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great rooms, very clean. For jaisalmer, this hotel is located in a more quiet area. The hotel manager responded to our questions and wishes in a very tailor-made manner, presented all offers transparently and did not try to talk us into anything; he organized a lot for us. A really great person, thanks again for everything!

The windows are not soundproof at all, any noise from the street penetrates directly into the room. However, as the hotel is in a (relatively) quieter area, this was not quite so disturbing.

Fort Villa, family-owned Haveli for many generations, has a great location. It is in a more quiet corner inside the fort, and within you’ll find a very calm and serene respite from all the bustle and commotion outside. The owner of the hotel is a well-traveled adventurer and a great storyteller. He is also the epitome of hospitality, helping out with everything big and small. You will not find a better place to rest your weary feet and weathered soul within the walls of this great fort.

The location of Fort Villa is perfect...right in the heart of the fort, very close to the Jain Temples, but far enough away from the hubbub, so it was very peaceful. The room was amazing, the gentleman who helped us check-in was very kind and helpful. Both the building and the artefacts used for decoration are classically beautiful.

Having to leave, we wished that we had booked to stay a couple more nights. We'll definitely stay here when we return to Jaisalmer...though will remember to bring more woolly clothes if we come back in the winter!

The host at fort villa was lovely, and was very responsive to anything we needed. The room was sweet, and the villa was beautiful. It was situated perfectly in the fort, near the famous Jain Temples. The breakfast was delicious, with multiple different options for food!! The rooftop seating area was magnificent with the most amazing views of jaisalmer and the perfect place to watch the sunset.

Not all rooms are pictured on the site! so you may get one which isn’t on the site! But that was fine for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The manager was very helpful, he picked us up from the bus stop and was able to help us out with any queries. We were upgraded to another room for our first two nights which was fantastic - beautiful, spacious, comfortable. The less expensive room we had initially booked was also very comfortable when we moved down there for our final night. The bathrooms are modern and spacious with separate showers and nice toiletries. The location is great.

Manish was welcoming before we even arrived, with responsive communication and a commitment even then to ensuing our stay would be an incredible one. This welcome extended to Deepak picking us up at 5am from the train and greeting us with a cheery smile and beautiful flower garlands. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean, in a building right inside the narrow streets of the Fort - giving you an authentic experience and no traffic noise. Our balcony was perfect to relax on in the early evening and before bed, with a view of the desert area. But staying at Fort Villa is much more than just being in the hotel. We were in Jaisalmer to celebrate a 40th birthday and Manish and Deepak arranged all our wishes and oversaw many of them personally to make sure it was truly a birthday to remember. They’ll help you arrange anything if you stay here - no matter how big or small, and at good prices. We had a tour of the city and areas outside across two days with a very knowledgeable guide (who was also great at photos - can highly recommend you ask for him too!) and a private you camel safari with birthday drinks over sunset in the desert, finished off with local dancing and a birthday cake. Truly a visit we will always remember, and thanks to the incredible and unrivalled levels of hospitality of Manish and Deepak, who couldn’t have done any more.
