The manager is a very kind, helpful and thoughtful host and nothing was too much trouble for him. He made me feel very welcome indeed, which as a solo female (older) traveller was very important. There’s a peaceful garden to use which has many beautiful plants and flowers and abuts the jungle. There’s a free to use filter water dispenser. The building is good- quirky in appearance and the area is quiet, away from the bustle of Kumily but within easy walking distance to the ecotourism office (for Periyar Park tickets), the bus stand (for park access), the cultural centre and for Kumily itself.

I don’t think the rooms are routinely cleaned during a stay, but I’m sure mine would have been cleaned had I asked.

I had an amazing vacation at Coffee Inn in Thekkady. The stay was truly worth every penny – clean, comfortable, and cozy. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The location is perfect and easily accessible to all the main attractions, restaurants, and activities in the area. I highly recommend Coffee Inn to anyone visiting Thekkady. A great place to relax and enjoy nature!

Coffee Inn is an artsy and whimsical hotel, with handcrafted sculptures and details both interior and exterior, and very pleasing to my imagination to stay there. The staff is very friendly and helpful with information about the area, including where to eat, what to see, and calling a taxi for me. It’s great value for the price.

There are some areas that could use some TLC, but if you’re easy going and like a budget property, this place is great.

The hotel has a unique design that helps to create a nice vibe. Staff (Morees) was extremely helpful and provided everything we needed. The location is good, between shops and eating places on the main road to the Periyar NP entrance. But you will need a 10 min walk to get to the ticket office for the park. Was able to spot sambar deer and wild boar looking out from our room to the nature behind the hotel. Amazing!

It's very common in India, but shower is positioned next to the toilet, no curtain or other separation, so water tends to splash everywhere a bit. Not a big deal though. There's no food, but restaurant next door served our needs just fine.

Rustic and comfy set in a quiet neighbourhood. You can go for a morning walk or jog in the periyar tiger reserve which is located close by.

Food you have to visit restaurants nearby. No fridge in the room.

Jobin & team were incredibly helpful and even without a room with a balcony view I got to enjoy the best of Periyar national park wildlife. I've added a photo of my favourite spot at the hotel! Easy to find food within walking distance at Periyar cafe, and great location for all activities. This is a steal for the price!

Beautiful property near Periyar Tiger reserve. The staff (Jobin and one more guy) are very friendly and courteous which makes all the difference. We checked in late evening and they were gracious enough to offer us a better room for a nominal charge. Rooms are quite unique with wooden architecture and brass fittings.

The staff was very kind. The room is beautiful and comfortable. And the view from the balcony is amazing (inside the park), we saw wildlife from there, deers and wil boar.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent location, feel at home overall. Good facilities. Balcony to the forest i awesome.

Room could have been little more spacious. Need more power outlets. Breakfast could have been provided.

Nice and neat facilites, close (200 m) to the National Park entrance of Periyar. Service (Jobim) was excellent. Inhouse Restaurant was still closed due to covid but we were provided with phenomenal breakfast and dinner at the property thanks to a nearby restaurant. Staff went above and beyond to help us plan and book activities and Next steps of our trip. The room was clean, and provided fantastic views. Silent and relaxing environment, perfect for a break.
