I recently stayed at Woodnote Thekkady and overall had a pleasant and relaxing experience. The resort is located in a serene part of Thekkady, close to nature and ideal for a peaceful getaway. The ambiance of the property is calm and welcoming, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the basic comforts needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was prompt and ensured we had everything we needed. While the stay itself was restful, there were a few areas that could be improved. The food, unfortunately, did not meet expectations — both in terms of variety and taste. Additionally, the resort does not offer many in-house activities or amenities, so guests looking for entertainment or recreation might find it a bit quiet. That said, Woodnote is a good option for travelers who want a peaceful place to stay and explore the nearby attractions in Thekkady, such as the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. In summary, it’s a decent resort with good service and a tranquil setting — best suited for those looking to unwind rather than seek a full-fledged resort experience.

Location was great. We could walk to the town, to Periyar National Park ticket counter / entrance. It made for a really easy stay. The staff was fantastic. Really lovely, helpful, and made our stay even better. A couple of times they got out of their way to help us (like packing us breakfast the night before when we had to leave really early the next morning). Breakfast was white yummy and probably the most varied we have seen in hotels we stayed in India so far. And really yummy. Western and Indian options. Meal options were reasonably priced for room service, and they have a bar onsite so you can get alcohol delivered to the room as well

Room smelled damp. We opened the windows to air out but it didn't work. We probably could have asked for another room but didn't. I'm sure staff would have helped. Bed wasn't the most comfortable - but I guess that's personal.

Everything was exceptional . Room was tidy neat and clean the staffs were so cooperative and the ambience was extremely good . Staying here is worth the money

The layout of the rooms and the way the entire hotel is designed and executed. Very friendly staff and very easy check in process.

Hotel was such located that it did not have the views the destination deserves.

The place is close to all sites that you want visit in Thekkady. Hotel is clean and neat with staff that is responsive. It's clean and well maintained. The site is pretty much close to all the attractions you want to visit in area around. Ideal location to have some peace and quite that's away from the main town.

They have solar powered geysers that take time to heat up. Don't get me wrong, it does get heated up, but patience is key. Maybe they ought to look at speeding it up and am sure they will.

It has a good free car parking facility as said. Good ambience and very cleanly maintained. Staffs were friendly. Tasty food.

Restaurant menu was very limited with few dishes only . No Menu book in rooms to order whatever we wish to eat.
