I booked a room but then got stuck in a snow storm and coulkd not get to hotel. I saw online that I had a non refundable reservation - so I was so bummed out. The owner of the property called me at 9:30 pm concearned that I have not checked in yet. When I explained my situation he advised me to cancel my reservation with Booking. I sent two messages one to the propery and one to Booking and this morning i was notified that Dunsmuir Inn aggreed to refund my payment which I really needed. Thank you

I should have called the property to let them know my situation with the storm but I didn't thinbk thry would care and they did.

No breakfast. I didn’t like having to register with my picture and photo of my drivers license on my phone. I appreciate the cost effectiveness of self registration but it definitely lacked personal service. I am a member of the older generation so this method was very impersonal. I will say they responded quickly to my texts about getting more coffee for the coffee maker and it arrived shortly by someone who was obviously close by. The room was nice and clean and comfortable.

See above. I also suggested having a comfortable chair in the room for sitting and reading. The metal stools were cute but definitely lacked comfort.

Cute, clean and convenient! An affordable place to stay while checking out the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway. Check in was all through text and well managed. The room checked all the boxes of clean, fresh smelling, easy parking, and nice bedding. The bonus was that the room was an adventurers delight. There was a boot tray for our dirty hiking shoes and HOOKS! So many places to hang all of your stuff. This is a big complaint of mine as a traveller who hikes, gets wet, and needs hooks. Most rooms give you one measly hook on the back of the bathroom door, but not Anglers Lodge, our room had 2 multi- hook bars and a great towel rack. The Eddy and and outside fire area were also nice as they were space to sit and read and relax while my daughter slept in.

Clean and basic, the owner was polite and helpful, nice family-owned business. Convenient to freeway and easy drive to Mt Shasta. We asked for more coffee and they provided more.

There was no breakfast or we did not know if there was. It was not a very busy road but there was constant traffic and loud intermittent cars/trucks going by as well as the train at night, so if you're a very light sleeper or if you like to leave the window cracked a room facing the street is not going to help you sleep. Wished there was more room to put all our stuff, since we were there for skiing we had a lot of stuff for the whole family.

The Angler Lodge in Dunsmuir is a great little hotel two blocks from the center of town. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The bed was large. The TV screen was huge. Bathroom and sink were large and there was room for a table where we had our meals. Overall, everything about our stay was nice.

It was confusing for me to register at this place. Everything is done remote. They request a picture and ID sent by message. I found the app confusing. It refused to accept my self photo. I tried 5 times before it worked. On the day of the stay they send the code to enter your room. This was not a problem for us, but if cell phone reception were bad it might be a problem. I do miss having someone there to talk to.

Nice location, walking distance to shops, food and nice little grocery store. Room basic, nice towels and linens. Clean enough but carpets stained. Deep cleaning would help a lot.

Could be so much nicer, the outdoor area totally neglected, 3 to 4ft tall weeds competing with beautiful but overgrown rose bushes. Walkways were covered in debris and blocked by the overgrown plants. No sign of any sweeping, blowing, or other outdoor maintenance.

I liked how clean the rooms were. Check in was smooth. No major issues for me. The bed was so comfortable. Ac/heater worked. I was happy to be able to open the window for fresh air. Being able to take a bath was nice. I felt good being there as a solo traveler. The area was quiet. That's a plus!

The only thing that wasn't the best was the sink getting clogged. I ended up taking out the stopper to let the water flow. Its not a big deal. I'm just writing this so the hotel knows to fix the sink.

This is a nice hotel located very close to the 5. Dunsmir is a nice little town and my only regret was we didn't stay longer to really view the town and area more. There's restaurants nearby, the neighborhood was quiet, and overall are stay was comfortable. The room was clean, the beds soft, everything was perfect. The checkin was easy and the staff was in touch with us, and provided our room code easily.

We were unaware of any meal options, and cooked all our meals in-house. Kitchen was well supplied with dishware, utensils, cooking pots/pans. Beds *very* comfortable, neighborhood quiet, everything very clean and organized. Views were great, accommodations were great, our stay was great! Wife particularly like the landscaping.

There was nothing we didn't like. So many things to do, so little time to try to get to them....we will be back, and hopefully to this same facility.

Nicely refreshed motel. 2 floors with access to each room from outside. Very comfortable bed. Room felt very clean. Nice tile in small room with tub/shower and toilet. Carpet in other room. Small fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, TV. Quiet AC/heater. Table and 2 chairs. Some others staying there took advantage of outside gas fire pit. No breakfast. Easy access from I-5.
