Friendly and courteous staff. Clean but issues listed below.

The only issues I has was the door wouldn't originally lock but mgr showed how to lock till he could fix it tomorrow. The lock plate had just been replaced, and the unexplained odor. Almost a cigarette smell but it wasn't in bed or towels just in air. Even febreze wouldn't get rid of it. I have major allergies and it gave me a sneezing fit. The floor was tile so it didn't come from there perhaps someone smoked it there even though it was non smoking.

I did not like climbing stairs with a bad hip. No accommodations were made for me.

the fact that I had to be upstairs and as far as I had to walk to get to my room. very unsatisfying. I’m in a condition where going up stairs is too painful. app had no choice cause he said he had no rooms.

The room was vintage Motel 6 - everything a traveller needs to stay overnight, and that's it. No need to pay for more

The location of this Motel 6 was perfect for us. The room was clean and looked great. Love the flooring. We will definitely stay here again, and we would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Metropolis.

I would suggest as an improvement a couple of extra pillows, but I always carry a couple of pillows with me, so it really wasn't a concern. The only other thing I would recommend is a sofa in the room. There is plenty of room for a sofa.
