The location was at the heart of the city. Free curry. Even though we tried it only once, what is not to like about free curry? Washing and drying your clothes is pretty easy, there even was a TV channel to check on the machines (dryer didn't reset, so was always running on the information page) and the room offers many possibilities to hang clothes.

The pillows are terrible. But you can rent better ones for free, it's a bit confusing because you can also buy them. The free TV programmes were mostly only teleshopping. The paid pass did not offer enough variety to make it worth it.

The location was great. There are frequent buses, trams and two stations within walking distance. Kagoshima Chuo and Kagoshima Stations were a 25 minute walk at a casual pace from the hotel. It was close to supermarkets, convenient stores, eateries, parks, malls, stores, places of interest and the airport bus bus stop was close by. It was warm even without using the heater, and we could wear light clothing. It was easy to check-in and check-out; if you arrive late, it is okay. The guy at the reception was helpful, he provided us with a map and directions. The cleaning staff were friendly and did their job well; we would come back to find new slippers, robes, towels, garbage bags and green tea on the door handles. If we requested that we didn't want anymore, they did as we asked. The hotel provided daily, tea, toothbrushes, razors, bath salts, combs (basically everything one would need and more). There was even a choice to change your pillow to an option you preferred. Free curry and rice was available every night at 8pm. We also received a free bottle of water daily. The room had a kettle, glasses, and mugs while the bathroom had: hand soap, body soap and conditioner. The water pressure was good, there were signage and instructions on everything that were needed. We totally enjoyed our stay there! (I'm from the Caribbean)

Really convenient location that is a short walk from the Tenmonkan airport limousine bus stop and a short walk from the ferries to Sakurajima and Yakushima. The hotel rooms were clean and well-furnished and I liked being able to open/close the window shutters for a nice view outside. I also really appreciated the different selection of fluffier pillows located on each floor (a wonderful break from the hard pillows of typical Japanese hotels).

Rooms could use a bit of TLC (some paint peeling here/there). Also my room was quite humid but I probably forgot to turn on the dehumidifier. None of this is really relevant to the actual experience staying there.

- The staff was very nice and spoke enough English for a smooth and flawless check-in. - The amenities were excellent—you can grab anything you need near the elevators, which is super convenient. - The breakfast was tasty and cheap at 1500¥. - You can pick up extra pillows from a cabinet on each floor, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. - The location is fantastic, with multiple bus and tram stations nearby. - Most places in the city are within a 15–25 minute walk, including the ferry ports. - The AC worked perfectly, switching quickly between hot and cold settings. - There’s free curry after 8 PM on the first floor where breakfast is served. It’s such a thoughtful and unique perk!

- The hotel is located in Kagoshima’s nightlife district, surrounded by bars and clubs. Depending on your preferences, this could be a positive or negative. For me, it wasn’t ideal, but it wasn’t a huge issue either. - The room is a bit smaller than the average business hotel room, and there’s no luggage storage under the bed, which was a pain. - The bathroom was the typical small Japanese style, and the toilet flush was unusually loud. - Despite asking not to receive them, I was given new towels, slippers, and a bathrobe every day. It felt a bit wasteful and was slightly annoying, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Very clean, amazing breakfast buffet (it made my stay) that had some daily rotation with lots of protein options, fast wifi, two elevators, great location, quiet room, pillow/toiletry "buffets". Free nightly curry buffet (no meat or veg, just curry sauce on rice) I'm a Westerner and felt the breakfast buffet was mostly lunch food (I'm not complaining!). Chicken, fish, pork options including steamed chicken, chicken karaage, bonito, fried fish, pork stew, black pork shumai, salad bar, breads, potato croquette, furikake station, two light soups, yogurt/jam/granola, canned fruit salad, hot/cold drink station Lots of local food and specialities including matcha cheesecake and various gelatos!

No English TV, a lot of lights in the room kept it bright at night (light switches on headboard), fresh fruit as part of the breakfast buffet

i like that we can request for room service easily, some hotels requires eco something forcefully but they dont next is the amenities free water and other toilet risk and mostly the satisfying breakfast :D the staff even recommends me to try the kagoshima specialty But what i love the most is the free RENTAL PILLOW. this is the first time an hotel offer it. It was a super nice sleep

Location maybe because its in red light district but it can be helped. There are times when the aircon is releasing some dust im coughing a bit

Was only here for a short stopover, but the hotel was a terrific place to spend the night, and at a great value! Shampoo bar and individual pillow selection is something different that I haven't seen in any other hotels, and definitely made the stay more unique and enjoyable. Location is just down the street from the Tenmonkan district for restaurants and stores, and transit was convenient (about a 7 minute walk from Tenmonkan bus terminal, and 15 minute walk to the ferry terminal). The breakfast buffet had a surprising and delicious variety of Japanese and Western options - would have taken more time to try all the breakfast dishes if we didn't have to rush to catch the early ferry!

If there would be a rate 11 this hotel deserves it. Breakfast buffet Japanese + Western buffet. Huge range of free toiletries. Pyjama &slippers in the room.Every evening free Curry. Very helpful reception staff. Taniguchi the receptionist who speaks excellent english helped me with a clinic who does acupuncture. I had a swollen knee. With two sessions my knee was pain free I also had reflexology. Highly recommended. Super location. Walking distance from Kagoshima Chuo station.

Nothing at all

Great location, right by the big shopping street so easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the airport limousine bus (5min walk). It's also really close to the major Tenmonkan bus station with buses going to all tourist locations. Staff is exceptionally kind, especially the cafeteria staff. I injured my ankle and one of the staff helped me every day during the morning buffet. The hotel provides free water, samples of high quality shampoo & conditioner, and other necessities in the lobby. Room is average size, but great price and value.

Great location, especially if you like to go out. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around, and the place is within walking distance from Kagoshimachuo, but there are bus and railway close by as well. If you come from the airport with the Airport Limosine bus, it stops closer to the hotel (Tenmonkan). The room itself was fine, pretty much in line with what most hotels in Japan offer, but in service and amenities.

The pillow was uncomfortable and hard, but this issue is not specific to this hotel only, as many hotels i've stayed at have begun to use this type of pillows with beads inside.
