This hotel is a little gem.We stayed in the older side which was sumptuous and elegant. Our room was spacious, and beautifully lit with baroque style sconce lights,huge traditional furniture, elegant corners with marble topped console tables. We were extremely comfortable. The stone bay window opened onto the surprisingly busy street,but fans were available when it became too warm for closed doors. The little street is next to allsorts of interesting buildings,and parallel to the market square. We enjoyed reading in the bay on the high backed pretty chairs. The bedding smelled of lavender!The bed very comfortable. We were on the second floor up beautiful dark wood ,what we Would call Jacobean,staircases. Parking is available for a small fee and was near the entrance. Breakfasts were lovely in the old dining room. We will certainly return.

The building was a big mansion/palace and mordenized into a hotel. The inside of the hotel is very interesting, such as paintings in the room, the old and big wardrobe, the wall decoration. Many things to satisfy a nostalgic taste. Breakfast was simple but also quite standard. I also like that there was an apple in the room, which was very sweet. The location is good, about 10 minutes of walk from the train station and close to the City Center.

Just some minor things. Bathroom is a bit small and there was not much place for toiletry bags. Wifi signal was a bit weak. One should be a bit careful with water splashes when taking showers.

Too noisy (street, next rooms...) No way to watch anything on TV in English (no Netflix...) Check out a bit early (12 would be better) We didn't get the chance to sleep in the historic part of the hotel, although this was our main reason to book rooms in this hotel. They upgraded the room, which was nice, but it would have been good to be informed about the change beforehand or given a discount instead.

The room and experience in this hotel were exceptional. We really stayed in the historic part and loved it. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location and breakfast were great. They referred us to the lovely Beergarden nearby and we had the pleasure to meet the owner who gave us a special gift. We can only highly recommend. One night was not enough.

We chose the historic part of the hotel and it did not disappoint. Large comfortable room and bathroom. Location was perfect.

I was surprised to see old faded plastic flowers in the room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfy rooms, the old building rooms with more uniqe charm. Nice beergarden also operated by the hotel five minutes walk away. Parking on site.

We were lucky and given a room in the new part of the hotel. Large room with excellent bathroom. Location is great, away for the hussel and bussel but still in the centre. Free parking.

Breakfast was served in the old building and not all that great but OK.

I was really appreciating the helpfulness of the reception lady. I can't say more as it was only 1 night stand during a business trip.

For the late Summer it was of course very hot during the night with no AC in the room. It is although understandable because it was a "historic" room but it would be a nice addition to hide the AC somewhere and still have it available for the room.

Very close to shops etc, rooms are nice and clean, quite big with a nice and roomy bathroom.
