The hotel was clean, comfy, roomy and felt secure and safe despite it being in an industrial setting. The lobby was inviting for a group and it even had a bar, which was well visited each night. The staff was super nice.

We were close (3 doors down) from the door to the outside. This door slammed really loudly and we could hear it quite clearly, especially at night. It woke me up a few times. I appreciated its quick close to keep outside folks from getting in, but I wish it was quieter. A few sketch dudes that came from the grocery outlet parking lot used the smoking area to do some drugs and then left again. But, they didn't stay and parking on that side did not seem unsafe as it was lighted. Our car was left alone, despite a few items being in the back. The price is a bit high for a weekend.

Very friendly, efficient, helpful staff. Very nice room and facility for the price, which we got at a discount. Room was good size, clean, well equipped, quiet. Coffee, tea, cookies in lobby. Very good full hot breakfast, with enough choices for most dietary restrictions. Good, clean gym on site. Seasonal pool, not in service in February. Convenient parking under covered carport. We had left our night light plugged in. We called two days later. They found it and kept it at reception until we passed through a week later.

The neighborhood was less than ideal, though it was easy to get to from the freeway, and just far enough to not have traffic noise.

The location was great, near my son’s house. The room is very large, with a sofa, coffee table, and the bench at the end of the bed. Very nice breakfast, friendly restaurant host and good cook. Room were very quiet.

The housekeeping did not do a good job on my fourth day, she replace the towels, but she didn’t clean the toilet. When I asked for better quality pillows on the 2nd day, they told me there’s none. On the 4th day they showed up with two larger and softer pillows. Bathroom missing a piece of tile, some wallpaper is falling apart. Couple times around dinner time, front entrance ran out of hot water.

It was clean and welcoming. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were delish! The staff was courteous and pleasant to deal with. The ADA bedroom was clean and spacious enough to get around in. The buffet breakfast was good.

I had one negative experience. I’d booked two nights with booking.com, but had called and added another night with reception. I called and added a third night. The gentleman who helped me was great. He booked that night directly through the hotel’s system. When I called to try to cancel it, the night person said (rudely) since I used booking.com I’d have to deal with them to cancel it. When I tried to explain the situation she interrupted me and said the same thing. I was so astonished and angry I hung up on her. I almost cancelled our stay completely.

Breakfast was fine, though the chef has a pretty annoying answer to any time you mention that they are out of a food type. We don't know whether HE knows that they are out of, say, pancakes, so mentioning it to him is trying to be helpful, not criticizing. As far as cleanliness, everything in our room was great. Shower pressure was wonderful, and a surprise compared to many hotel showers. Staff was very helpful, especially Niguel. He was very friendly and helped us a lot.

The comforter in the cupboard that we put on the bed to keep us warmer, was so heavy and big that it was almost overkill. A nice additional blanket, or a smaller comforter would have been perfect!

Everyone we interacted with was helpful and assisted where they can. All of the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool area although not the largest was clean and well looked after. Parking was plentiful and easy. Location in the town was central and allowed easy access across the town

Tiny gripe was that our rooms were located at the other end of the hotel from the pool and there were no directly adjacent changing facilities by the pool, which would have helped

Location-wise, The Oaks is close to downtown Paso Robles and several wineries, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. Overall, The Oaks Hotel & Suites offers a pleasant and comfortable stay with excellent service, making it a great value for visitors to Paso Robles.

Bar was not working on the weekend.

The staff were very nice. The location is very convenient for visiting wineries and close to downtown. The bed was comfy. The A/C worked.

The shower head spits air (aerating) so all you get is a mist. It is not adjustable. It’s hard to take a good shower with just mist. There were 2 coffee pods in the coffee box and one of them was used. The fact that a used pod was left after cleaning the room was a real disappointment. The breakfast was better than chain hotels breakfasts but still the bacon and the scrambled eggs were overcooked.

would give it a solid 5 stars in all categories but the bathroom needed attention. Water pressure is super high in shower causing damage to the outside wall and lifting the shower curtains. We noticed a bad lighting in the vanity and asked for assistance but the staff gave us a light bulb instead💆‍♂️. We just keep it as is. During our 3 days stay, the light die out. But everything else, breakfast, location and cleaness gets an excellent review 👌

The staff is always amazing.

The only thing we ran into this trip was a spill of what looked like a beverage in one of the elevators and when we mentioned it to the guy manning the front desk (he was assisting other customers to check in) he said he couldn't do anything right now. We went down to fill water bottles much later that evening, and the mess was still there. As a slip and fall hazard that was sub-par handling of the issue. The staff is almost always on top of every question or issue.
