The colour's, cleanliness, kind housekeeper, great security, quiet neighborhood. Clean running water and electricity were always available as well as emergency lights, smooth running wifi, some beautiful ornamental plants/landscaping to take in and use as photo background. Just exceptional!!

I didn't really appreciate that I the website it seems to show the space to include the lounge but it's actually not part of the 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and dining area. The potholes in the road to it, though it is a council issue it would be nice to have it rehabilitated. The pros do outweigh the cons, definitely recommend the place!

Big high five to the Mimosa Guest House in Makhanda, my base of operations (along with a herd of cows outside) during the RU120 visit to Makhanda. Very comfortable historic home in a lush garden setting with inviting charcoal pool. Temperatures required regular immersions and poolside lounging. Woke up to the caterwauling of the Hadada Ibis in the trees each morning. Enjoyed meals at Major Fraser's across the street from Drostdy Arch. They have superb pizzas that are wood-fired oven-cooked.

Absolutely every single thing was perfect. The kind, professional assistance from Bernice, to the heartwarming welcome from Ivy. The house is gorgeous, and tells such a gentle tale. Early mornings on the verandah to watching the sun wrap the day up in golden hues is such a pleasure. Each room is perfectly set, the furnishings understated and elegant and the kitchen an absolute dream to cook in. Strolling around the puturesque gardens with the sweetest dogs provides such solace. Mimosa lodge is as intoxicating as a mimosa!

Heaters in the rooms and electric blankets. Decor is great! Loved the old-style building with modern amenities.

Suggestion: The 2 chairs in the main bedroom don't really fit the rest of the decor. Change to a (antique) writing table. It would be a perfect for the ambience.

Lovely property, with a beautiful green gardens after the rencent rains. Nice pool. Spacious apartment with everything needed for a short stay. Quiet surroundings...almost doesn't feel like you are in Grahamstown/Makhanda. Had a great stay.

The tar roads leading to the property are in a pretty bad state, but that is unfortunately just Grahamstown in general.

This could easily feature in a House Beautiful magazine. Elegant and immaculate with everything you need. Lovely big bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Very peaceful and secure. We loved it and will definitely stay again.

There isn't a separate lounge area but you can sit on the patio or on a sofa in the bedroom.

Ivy was lovely, there is safe,secure off street parking, and the property has an electric fence. The apartment exceeded our expectations. Beautifully furnished, good linen, lovely shower, and well stocked kitchenette. Would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at the property before and loved staying there earlier and hence chose Mimosa again. The house is simplly beautiful, the housekeeper was very warm and helpful. I simply loved being there.

The property is absolutely beautiful, and the gardens are gorgeous. All facilities are of the highest quality, making the stay a perfect home from home. Ivy is warm and welcoming too.
