Secured this particular hotel mainly because of the location. It was in 'Hotel Row' and reasonably priced. I also checked local crime stats and the area was extremely safe. I arrived early and was able to check into my room by noon. Staff was very nice. Room was a bit stinky but thankfully the window opened slightly and I was able to circulate some fresh air. I didn't mind because I was able to check in early and I'm sure the odor from previous guest was still lingering. Upon my return from dinner- my room smelled fresh as I also deoderized it. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was nice with a variety of items and drinks.

I spilled my coca-cola in the hotel parking lot. When I went back inside, I remembered there was a small "market" behind checkin desk. I went in to purchase a 20 oz. drink. When I scanned it- the price was $6.79! Needless to say, I put it back in the cooler immediately.

The hotel is basically brand new. It is very basic, clean and a good value. Breakfast was basic hotel with several choices and was fresh. It has a hot tub and small pool. My only complaint was that Booking booked us for a one bedroom suite and there were not any so they gave us a regular room with two beds. It would have been nice if they had told us this in advance as then e bedroom suite was why we picked that hotel!

The hotel had the feel of being recently upgraded and felt modern and new. There was a pleasant breakfast area and a small store to buy snacks etc. Reception staff were exceptional. Unfortunately his name has escaped me but the gentleman running the reception was exceptionally helpful and when I complained about the excessive volume from the TV in a neighboring room, he immediately went and sorted it out. The hotel was close to many stores and restaurants.

A choice of soft/hard pillows as some hotels offer would have been nice. The bed was very comfy but the pillows, although fine, were just of a thickness where one didn't quite offer enough support whereas two was too much...first world problems!

A friendly and clean hotel with a comfy bed, choice of pillows and a good shower. Coffee and breakfast included too. This hotel has either been very recently built or renovated (not sure which) and, as a result, feels very fresh and up to date. Overall I'd say it represents great value for money.

The only downside is that this hotel is not really in a walkable area, but that is very minor if you're considering it for a road trip stop since within a short drive there are lots of restaurants, stores and other amenities.

The bedding smelled so fresh and clean. The towels were clean but just didn't have that fresh smell. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay with friendly staff. Thank you!

Answered above. Just the towels lack of a fresh scent. Years ago bedding in most hotels/motels were washed in bleach. While I know that is a chemical, it smelled sooooo good. Wish that were the case today. Maybe not as strong as it was in years past.

The hotel and our room were neat and clean, and convenient to all the different locations we visited in San Angelo. The room was very spacious. The coffee/microwave/refrigerator area was very nice and roomy. Check in and check out was easy. We were greeted warmly coming and going.

The in-room coffee maker was missing the tray that held the coffee packet so it was impossible to make coffee in our room. (We reported this to front desk staff, and I am sure it will be taken care of.) Wyndham definitely needs to figure out how guests can have the light on over the desk without the entryway light also being on. We could have used some extra counter space in the bathroom. The artwork was a little strange, and it could be upsetting to guests who have lost loved ones (one of the people in the pictures was represented only by leaves or patterns, not really there).

I truly loved everything about it! The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Rosa, and always greeted me with a warm "welcome" and a smile. The rooms were spotless, and I found everything about the hotel to be perfect. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious!

First time to stay here. New and clean. Finally a hotel with less carpeting in room. Modern and minimalist design. Quick and easy check in. Big parking lot. The suite was huge.

Wish they added another closet inside the bedroom and a couch to make it more comfortable. It has enough space to fit in. What's up with half size pillow? It's kinda' odd and not comfy.

Staff is very friendly especially the male night associate I apologize I forgot his name. He is African American he was just so friendly and making sure we were good and always checking to make sure if we needed anything. He definitely is the reason why we came back again for the second time in the past month. Blessings to him and I pray you guys bless him with a raise cause he really does deserve one!

The only complaint is that in the shower it needs rubber mats so you won't slip. I almost slipped every time I took a shower.

The hotel is a few years old but it's well maintained. The staff is keeping up the facilities very nicely.

The price of AmericInn San Angelo has gone up and the value proposition is not as good as before. Due to that fact, we may look for alternate accomodations next time.
