This is a great base for day tripping in the Vikos Gorge region. Marios has done a tremendous job in creating a clean and relaxing environment for your stay. The staff is very friendly and Marios will make sure that you are afforded the best of any recommendations that will enhance your enjoyment of the area. The breakfast area is very pleasing with a delightful terrace. The location is only a 9km drive to a beautiful viewpoint off the Vikos Gorge. Our highest endorsement.

We loved everything! It was gorgeous hotel situated in an incredible location. We absolutely loved Marios who welcomed us as we entered the hotel and made sure we were comfortable during the stay. Our plan was to do the Vikos hike from Monodendri and wanted to see if we could take walking sticks on the hike with us. Mario’s found the sticks for us even though we were not going to be able to do the hike (rain)! Incredible hospitality.

Very polite and kind host of the hotel,who can explain in detail what you can see around. Lovely atmosphere and location of yhe hotel with nice views to the mountains and very close to the old town center.Clean room, friendly and wonderful attitude of the staff. We fully recommend the hotel for families and couples in beautiful Zagori. We hope to visit again.

We loved our stay in this lovely hotel in the centre of the village perfectly placed for walks in and around the Vikos Gorge. Beautiful views of the gorge from our bedroom window. Comfortable bed, relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast. Marios is a wonderful host who had great suggestion for places to see. We spent a couple of perfect days here.

Hotel Monodendri was a great place. As a solo traveler I felt safe and welcome. Chose "Yellow Room". The Manager is very helpful and goes out of his way and shows excellent hospitality. He shares good ideas for itinerary if you have a car and can drive around on your own. Driving there was easy. I was impressed with the Rock Forest. The views are beautiful! There are places to eat in Monodendri walking distance to the hotel. If you have any mobility difficulties, contact manager before booking.

The room was spacious but cozy and with beautiful view over the mountains. The staff was very polite and friendly. The breakfast was very good and apart from the choices in the buffet we were offered additional warm dishes. The location is excellent and convenient for daily excursions around Zagorochoria.

Great small hotel with breathtaking views to the mountains! The owner (Marios) was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the middle of the larger of the Zaguria villages, with many restaurants in the area, and very close to the entrance to the Vikos Gorge route. The room was very spacious and the breakfast was great.

Some of the room's furniture was a bit dated.

Room was very hot with no air conditioning. Suspect the weather was a bit hotter than normal at nearly 40 degrees, so might be OK most of the time.

My experience at Hotel Monodendri was fantastic -- the warm welcome and kindness of owner and staff, the beautiful and spacious rooms and building, amazing breakfast, and delight of staying in the perfect Zagori town of Monodendri as the leaves turned color this fall made this one of my favorite places in Greece.

Along with everything being very comfortable and well done, I appreciated the attention to details provided by Marios and his wife (didn’t get her name)-saving a parking place in front, fresh flowers on the breakfast table, omelets cooked for you every morning, nice common area. We chose Monodendri because it was a bit larger town in a good location for exploring the area. There are several hotel choices in the region, but this one must top the list!
