Our family had a fantastic stay at Mitos Village in Hersonissos, Crete. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after exploring the island. Our kids loved the well-maintained pool area, which offered endless fun and relaxation. Mitos Village's location is ideal for exploring Hersonissos and nearby attractions, yet it remains a peaceful oasis. Overall, our stay was exceptional, and we highly recommend Mitos Village for a memorable family vacation in Crete.

I was with my son for a week and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Thanos (owner), his family and also the cleaning team, were the nicest, warmest people ever. They were happy to help with everything we needed and very respectful in every way. My son was super happy about the facility, especially about the pool and gym. Thanos takes care of every detail, allowing guests to rest and relax during their stay. Mitos Village is near to old Hersonissos (with great taverns and local shops), located in a very quiet area. Hotel is spotless, breakfast delicious, various and for sure you won’t complain. I wish them the best and hope we will visit them soon.

Everything was absolutely perfect.

Location of the hotel was perfect for us. A 20-25 minute walk to the beach (10 euro taxi fare to get back). Hotel is 5 minutes walk away from the centre of town which has many decent tavernas, a great bakery and a couple of bars and coffee shops. The town is busy but not loud - good for families. Hotel pool was great - sun loungers were comfortable and the hotel provided pool towels. Along with the pool towels, the hotel rooms came with bath robes, slippers and toiletries which was a nice touch. Our room was quiet, with good sized and comfortable beds Wifi wasn't great inside our room but worked well on the balcony (and was excellent by the pool and bar area). The hotel was spotlessly clean. Absolutely no hesitation about returning again.

The pillows were quite small and thin - I think some people may struggle with just the single one provided on each bed. Understandable as there were so many options to eat within a short walk but maybe a limited snack menu in the bar by the pool is an option the hotel could consider?

My stay at Mitos was very nice! I was looking for a relaxing holiday in a quiet area where you could still get a bite to eat in a a nice and cozy environment within minutes. That's how I ended up at Mitos Village and read the rave reviews. Nothing lied; you will totally unwind here. The service is very good, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the appartement is neat and clean. It has a nice swimming pool with plenty of lounge beds where you can hang out if you don't want to go out. On arrival there was a bottle of house wine waiting for you and some fresh fruit. A 4-minute walk away you find yourself at a cosy tavern where you can eat very nicely and where fun traditional evenings are organised. A holiday at Mitos Village is therefore definitely recommended!

We loved every single bit of our stay here. The high level of service and commitment to the comfort and enjoyment of our holiday by every member of the hotel team was exemplary and above and beyond what we expected. The hotel was spotlessly clean in every area and the attention to detail throughout is outstanding. The breakfast was absolutely lovely with choice enough for every taste. It was bliss to sit in the most peaceful of surroundings to eat breakfast, lounge around the pool and generally relax completely. Thanos the owner, his mother Maria and wife Caterina treated us with the utmost generosity. We did not want to leave. Will we return? In a heartbeat, and we are definitely going back next year but next time for 2 weeks. Thank you again Thanos, Caterina and Maria for our perfect holiday.

A great hotel that my family and I really enjoyed. The breakfast in the morning was so good! The pool was great to hang out at after going to the beach. The owner was very accommodating for any of our needs, not to mention a pretty good bartender! The location for us was perfect for this area of Crete. We would sometimes take a hour drive towards Agios Nikolaos or sometimes go 10 minutes to Sarantari Beach. The old village of Hersonissos is also a nice option to go grab a bite in as well. We would defiantly stay here again the next time we come back to Crete.

Perfect holiday spot for all types of people from young couples to whole families. Facilities are perfect and staff are welcoming and there to help. Local town (roughly 2 minute walk) is absolutely fantastic, beautiful tavernas and lots of local shops with really friendly people, it has everything you need. Only warning, nothing to do with hotel, is it is a €10 taxi or 40 minute walk down/up hill to the main Hersonissos area so be careful with that but it’s no problem if you’re happy to rent quads (highly recommended) or a car or even happy to walk then 100% recommend it! We loved our stay and would definitely return!

This place is equivalent to a mini 5 star! Thanos & Marie are professional & perfect hosts, they totally know how to provide everything required to make for a relaxing & very enjoyable holiday. The entire place is spotless to a tee, the pool is large, exceptionly clean as is the lovely pool bar & its surrounds. I was travelling alone & felt completely safe & more than comfortable at Mitos village. The buffet breakfast was second to done, beautifully laid out with many options, soft music playing in background, couldn't wish for anything more. The pretty village with a great choice of tavernas only a 5min walk. I was there to relax & I was certainly able to do just that, cleanliness is so important to me & they certainly delivered that & beyond. If you want PERFECTION in every aspect together with relaxation & comfort...this is most definitely the place to go. I will most certainly be returning. Thank Thanos & Marie. Nuala

The accommodation was great. We had a huge, comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the wonderfully large and deep pool, which in May was plenty warm enough to stay in for a long swim, something I so enjoyed every day! The location was blissfully quiet but within easy walking distance to a good selection of tavernas. You could walk 20 minutes further and find even more places to eat and drink. It was also easy to drive to some local, quiet beaches, or to drive up into the mountains. There was a great choice of food at the included buffet breakfast: everything you could have wanted from hot to cold with ample selection for vegetarians too. The whole place was also spotlessly clean, thanks in part to Marinilda, the very thorough, and indeed personable, cleaning lady. A big thank you also to the owners, Thanos and Katerina who were exceptionally charming, informative and helpful.

The shower occasionally ran cold or lacked power.

Very professionally managed hotel with a personal touch. While we are a couple we received a spacious apartment ( 2 rooms with a kitchen and separate bath room) The accommodation was very quiet and the balcony offered a great view on the village and the sea. This place is ideal to relax ( as it is not geared towards mass tourism) The rooms are very clean, and the hotel has a very nice pool ( allowing for real swimming) with soft lounge music and sufficient pool chairs available . The breakfast offers sufficient choice and is very tasty.

I see only a plus here as some of the older rooms ( we stayed in one) will be further upgraded
