Hotel Friends was a lovely hotel, its location is about a 20 minute drive into the centre of Cologne (40 mins on public transport). It doesn't look like a conventional hotel from the front, but don't judge a book by its cover. Inside the hotel is absolutely gorgeous - i loved the dark theming and the room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. We even had a balcony which was so nice. We opted for the breakfast option as there isn't much in the area and we are so glad we did. The breakfast options were varied and everything was fresh and delicious even though it was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return on our travels back to Cologne. Thank you Hotel Friends!!

My only criticism is that i asked for a double bed, and got two singles and extra pillows would be nice. Other than that everything was great!

Friends is much more than a place to sleep. There are lots of areas to meet with people, both outside and inside. There is also a small bar that helps. There is a parking behind the building just for hotel guests. The room was fine, bathroom was small but adequate. All nice and clean. Friends is not very close to the city center, but it is a good, cost effective base to travel around Köln by bike or by car. Also good for business meetings or chats with friends.

It would be much more pleasant if there was a tea kettle in the room.

This is my first time in Germany, everything is okey, and the breakfast is good, worm weather that day, clean street and peaseful environment. The room is spacious and cook tools is fully prepared. Though I did't cook that day. I like the sofa in the room, it's comfortable and easy to sleep. I can read and chat on it for a whole day if time permitted.

There seems don't have too much privacy table in the morning's breakfast.

The breakfast was amazing with lots of choices and milk options for every feeling (vegan, normal milk, etc). The ambiance at the bar and entrance is really cool as well. The staff was welcoming and I could leave my luggage for the entire following day. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel and it is close to the Chempark in Leverkusen.

The rooms were nothing special, but all right.

The hotel environment was extremely beautiful. The lobby and corridors were all well designed with beautiful furniture. Our room had a big terrace. The neighborhood is so beautiful and calm and if you are looking for a long stay, I would definitely recommend this place. You go for a walk in the morning with Aldi being only 6 minutes walk.

Although the neighborhood is very beautiful, it's hard to access the center if you are in a hurry.

The room was clean and the size of the room was good. Breakfast was amazing! Really good. It was worth every penny. The balcony on the south side was very nice, with a beautiful view to the old city of Köln.

We were there during hot weather. The rooms haven't got airco so it was quit hot in the room.

It felt not really safe to walk from the parking to the entrance at night! maybe there can be an entrance at the parking site?

Common areas are very nice, beautifully decorated, breakfast very delicious and great variety.

Room was dusty and smelly, seemed to be without use for a while. Staff was kinda sparky and weird. Called me out for making myself a tea which wasn't self service, there was no sign. At checkout she mentioned the tea again... making a very big deal out of something so minor.

The price was awesome for the room we got. Double shower with sirting area an also a urinal in the bathroom were very nice surprises

It is a bit on the side of the road if one is interested in visiting Cologne, but still it is about 35mins by bus. Not terrible.

Trendy hotel with friendly people.

Hotel Friends doesn't exist anymore. It's called Hotel Medo since a couple of weeks, so it was a little bit confusing when we arrived.
