I booked a room with a king size bed and a lake view...and it did not disappoint! My room had a sliding glass door, and was just a few yards from the beautiful Lake Superior! It looked like other rooms had windows instead of a sliding door, but their view would have been just as spectacular! Since I was on the southern shore of the lake at Chequqmegon Bay, I was able to fully enjoy both sunrises and sunsets in late May. It was a stunning place to stay! The location is also close to beautiful places nearby along the shore of Lake Superior, as well as Copper Falls State Park in Mellen.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is right off the main road, right on the shores of Lake Superior and just about a 25 minute drive to Bayfield, WI where most/all of the activities start. We were glad that we upgraded to a lake view room.

Even though we paid for an upgraded room with a lake view, it was deceiving. The view was blocked partially by the deck railing, so we actually had to get out of the room onto a common balcony to actually have a lake view. Otherwise we would only see the deck railing all the time 😞

Breakfast was good. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Quiet room even though it was facing the indoor pool. There was an humidifier in the room, which took away all of the humidity coming from the pool area.

We would like to have gone out to sit by the lake for a while but the goose poop was so bad that we couldn't bring ourselves to step in the grass. There were no walks, which would have helped. We stayed at another hotel which had walks and one could get to the lake and enjoy it.

Lake Superior is in your backyard. Amazing view. We had a Lakeview King room. We were on the first floor. The hot tub was large and working. Although they did not offer daily housekeeping, any item you needed was available at the front desk Staff was extremely friendly-like they were the owners. Free breakfast had 3 choices for hot food plus yogurt, juices, coffee, and fresh fruit Restaurant next door somewhat connected to hotel. Good food with a reasonable price

If you're a light sleeper there is road traffic noise. For anyone with mobility issues, there is no elevator to the second floor.

Breakfast was good. There was a nice selection fresh fruit and cereal. There were options for waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy. There were also fruit juice options. Although our room was next to the indoor swimming pool, it was VERY quiet. The view to the outside was Wonderful!

The bread choices were okay, however, there were no tongs, or hand covers to take a single slice of bread; bags of bread were in a covered plastic shelving box. However, you had to open the bag of bread and take out the individual slice by hand. There were multiple guests handling the open bags of bread to pick out their slice. At the least, provide tongs to make fresh bread selections.

Excellent location and value. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.

Parking was a challenge, very tight space and hard to get a space later at night. There were lots of water bugs to contend with on the outside of the building. One or two would fly in when opening the door at night, but the rooms themselves were otherwise big free.

We appreciated the kind and helpful front desk staff! Our room was clean and the breakfast was such a nice touch.

Our room had an exterior door which was great, but the door had a steady draft coming through so our room was cold, especially the bed closest to the door. It was mild weather and still, it was cold. The refrigerator motor was VERY loud and kept going on and off all night. Other than that, everything and everyone was terrific. We will be back in warmer weather.

Very nice facilities right on the shore of Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay. Comfortable beds and large, well-equipped room. Breakfast was better than typical ones provided by chain hotels. We would stay here again if travels take us to this very pleasant part of Wisconsin. The Mexican restaurant next door had great food and very nice ambience.

I sure wish they would not use single-use, disposable plastic ware and non-compostable paper/plastic "dishes" for everything. The amount of waste produced is atrocious.

Breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable. View of the lake was excellent. Location was very convenient. Loved being able to walk out to the lake from the back deck.

Bathroom stool has very little room and is short. Shower is set up too high and not able to adjust. You have to go outside to get down to the pool and hot tub. AC blows right on the bed next to it. I had to put a hand towel over on side or it blew right on my head and neck.

The hotel had a wonderful sitting area in the back overlooking the lake. They had chairs, picnic tables, and a fire pit. The pool and hot tub were clean and the gym looked nice as well although we did not use that. They had the best continental breakfast I have personally had! There were biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, waffles as well as your normal continental breakfast foods. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

We booked a room with a view of the pool, the view itself was fine but the room had a bit of dampness/humidity I am assuming because of the pool. It did not smell musty or anything just a bit sticky. The pool is also open until 10 PM, there were kids playing and screaming from about 9 to 930 ish and kept us up. It was not a huge deal as we didn't have to be up at a certain time but still a bit annoying, I would have been better if the pool closed at 9pm.
