Breakfast was very adequate. Nothing fancy, but what was there was good. A step above most Hamptons for example. BEAUTIFUL DECK to sit on and take in the view of Lake Superior. Beautiful furniture and woodwork in the common areas. This used to be a very upscale hotel that hosted high society events. There are still moments of that history preserved throughout the place. It's kind of crazy that it's a Best Western now. Really cool place! Convenient! Walgreens and convenience store right across the street if you need a snack or medicine or anything.

Nothing really to complain about here. It's a really nice place that is very well run and reasonably priced!

Breakfast was a bit simple. A couple more options would have been nice.

Location is great, gorgeous views of Chequamegon Bay, breakfast offerings were good, staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My son and I were there when the flooding on the 3rd floor happened and I just want to thank the staff for how they handled the situation, nothing crazier than having to deal with fire alarms and flooding during the night, but the staff did everything they could to inform and get everyone where they needed to go.

The beautiful atmosphere. It's like staying at a mansion on Lake Superior. High ceilings with ornate furnishings. Look out to the marina, water and sunsets from the deck and "parlor" lobby spacious with comfy couches and chairs. Wonderful restaurant with outdoor seating. Linens and towels fresh. I could go on!

Having to leave!

The hotel restaurant was bright and faced the water. The food was good and I found the service to be incredibly kind and helpful. The pool was an added bonus for our family!

The hotel is stately but older and is in need of a facelift. The hallways are dark, the room is dated and it feels like there is a moisture issue in the hotel.

This property takes you back in time with its ornate furniture, wall paper and other accents. Absolutely adored hanging out in the parlor watching the sunset. The new restaurant downstairs is delightful and a lovely way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Enjoyed the pool too although it would be nice to have bigger pool towels but that’s a minor detail. We had an issue with our bathroom and it was taken care of promptly.

The convenience. The location and the Hotel is beautiful. The comfy beds.

Have visited quite a few times, 2 of the visits the rooms were not completely clean. This time I found cigarette ashes under the sink. I did bring it up to the young man at the front desk as I did not want to be blamed for it.

Love the historic building and the location on the lake. The sitting room is lovely, and maintained in period style. The restaurant was also situated perfectly with a great view.

We found a few long hairs in the sink from the previous guest. Also, there was a hammering noise made by water pipes and/or the heating system. Possibly difficult to avoid due to the age of the building, but it woke me up multiple times.

Our room was comfortable and the view was incredible! Breakfast was plentiful with a big variety. Staff members spoke with us and were very friendly and personable. We had a concern and they dealt with it totally and immediately. Supper in the downstairs restaurant was excellent. We are recommending it to our family and friends.

Our room was beautiful overlooking Lake Superior. The staff was very helpful and kind. Dinner on the deck over looking the Lake was spectacular. We dined there every night of our stay.

I wish we could have opened the windows to take in the sound and smell of the lake.
