My family is familiar with the motel since my brother keeps his sailboat in the marina. We had a larger gathering this time, so they were pleasantly surprised to learn about the two-bedroom suites/apartments across the road with full kitchen and more living space. We stayed three nights in a motel room and apartment. At check-in, plus every time we passed through the lobby for coffee, the staff was very friendly. Great location for enjoying the area. There's a nice walking trail along the lake. The guys booked a fishing charter that left from the Washburn marina. Easy drive to Bayfield for shopping, dining, and to catch a ferry, then you're back to the more low-key lakefront. We had a first floor lake facing apartment with a small patio, and it's where we spent most of our time when we weren't on the water. We'll be back!

If the main road through town was not torn apart, I would have been a bit happier. The staff were all very kind. bedding was acceptable. The restaurant is a very short walk away and has good food and drink at fair prices. The easy walk to the lake is also quite nice.

I would have liked vending machines. When traveling, it's nice to have snacks nearby. Also, when traveling, I like to have ice cream at the end of the day. No vending machines or ice cream. There is room for machines or an ice cream cooler. I'd imagine these machines would be a nice source of added income to the bottom line. With that being said, I'd stay here again.

Quiet. Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Nice staff. No traffic noise. Good location vis a vis Bayfield and Ashland. Will stay again next time going to Big Top Chautauqua. No issues when we cut off one day of our stay when we arrived.

Surprised no breakfast, but not an issue for us because we usually go out for coffee when traveling. Next time we’ll insist on second floor. Little noisy one night from above. Wish AC was a little quieter.

The location and views of the lake were superb. The people were very friendly and accommodating.

Had a little problem with original room and had to be moved to a different location because they were full.. They moved us to an apartment for the same price. It was very nice with a great view. The only drawback was that it was on second floor with only stairs. We are older so was difficult taking all the luggage up and next day was raining so had to take everything back out in the rain. They were very accommodating and friendly. Even with this issue..we would definitely stay here again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The baseboard heater was a welcome relief from hotel heaters blowing air on and off all night long.

Black out curtains are needed behind the regular draperies as the parking lot was very well lit. Tighter doors or weather stripping in the door frame would be helpful. When one door in the hallway closes normally, the rest of the doors wiggle and make a lot of noise. Another blanket would have been nice so that we could have kept the thermostat lower.

Great location for getting around the lake area, I.e., Bayfield, Apostle Islands, Cornucopia and Ashland.

Nice that they had coffee available in the lobby because I didn’t care for what they had available in the room. Limited breakfast places in Washburn, so would be nice if the inn provided some type of breakfast even if a continental one.

Lakeside motel with easy walking access to trails & town businesses. The motel is a rennovated Super 8 with decent touches in rooms. Bathroom was well kept, room had a clean fridge & no odors present. Plenty of parking & very tranquil location. Overall a better value than Ashland motels. Great local coffee in the office.

When the laundry room door near the office was open an acrid chemical smell permeated the hallway.

The place was very clean, there was free coffee in the lobby, and it was in a great location. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The fridge in the room was nice, and the beds were comfortabIe. I liked staying here and will be coming back! That said, if you want something fancy and modern, do not stay here. It's a basic hotel, and they advertise as such. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and simple place to sleep, then this place is great. My only suggestion would be to put some privacy film on the lower windows - we had to choose between natural light or privacy during the day! This really isn't a huge deal, but I think it would be a nice touch.

There was nothing I didn't like! It was a great value.

Very nice hotel right on the edge of the lake, looking partially out over the marina. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Adirondack chairs seating as well as a bench or two. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. Coffee in room and also in office. Very nice restaurant right next door, also with great views, excellent food, and beverages!

There is no breakfast provided but that truly was not a problem for us as fridge is also provided in the room. We brought in our own yogurt, juice, etc.

Once you found where the place was, it was very nice and quiet. I happen to have stayed over the Memorial Day weekend, so things were not open. However, it made a beautiful view of the lake. For my room, it was very nice and roomy. What I liked best was that the beds were not rock hard.

The place nearby wasn't open to eat, but it didn't matter because it was a short trip to the next town.
