This place felt like paradise - 15 min walk from the Yangshuo village, all surrounded by nature, very quiet and everything we needed was taken care of to the very high standard! Service was exceptional, there is a really nice restaurant on site, the staff organised a tea ceremony workshop for us and the trip to the Impression Sanjie Liu show (highly recommended). We would definitely stay there again!

Nothing, everything was perfect

The location is beautiful, the view is amazing. As are the receptionists, everyone was very helpful and super nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was absolutely delicious, we ate almost every meal there and ordered different kinds of food-and every time the chef delivered DELICIOUS meals. The staff is also very helpful when you plan your day trips, book tickets or for recommendations like scooter rental. The City Center is not far, you could get there by renting a scooter, bicycle or with taxi/Didi. It was also super nice and quiet, which we enjoyed a lot. We didn’t miss the tv at all.

Staying at the Li River Waterfront Hotel was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived we felt completely taken care of. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and their service honestly deserves a 10 out of 10. Everything we needed was arranged quickly and effortlessly, from excursions and taxis to tickets for attractions, often at prices better than what we found elsewhere. Even the laundry service was perfect, fast, and very reasonably priced at just 30 yuan per kilo. The setting is simply stunning: peaceful and quiet, yet only twenty minutes away from the village. Our room was spacious and comfortable with beds that made it hard to get up in the morning. The food was outstanding and surprisingly diverse. One evening we enjoyed Chinese specialties, the next we tried pizza, pasta or even steak, and in the mornings there was always the option of something simple like eggs or toast. Communication was always easy thanks to quick replies on WeChat and staff who spoke excellent English. Having room service available made the whole experience even more comfortable. Our stay here was a solid 10 out of 10. In fact, I can say without hesitation that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I have traveled all over the world. The perfect balance of comfort, service and atmosphere makes it truly one of a kind.

If I really had to mention something it would only be the tiniest of details, like the many light switches in the room or the fact that the hotel is very popular among Dutch travelers, and being Dutch ourselves we don’t like that :p. These things hardly matter and do not take away from the experience at all.

We stayed at the Li River Resort for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located next to the Li River and beautiful peaks, so we can watch the fantastic views every morning when we wake up. The hotel itself is very clean and well managed, with well-maintained facilities including a dining room, swimming pool and kid playground. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. In particular, they came to pick us up at the port when we just arrivd from cruise trip from Guilin. Since we have three kids and a lot of luggage, that was a great help to us. We highly recommend Li River Resort to anyone visiting Yangshuo. 

Outstanding small hotel on the banks of the Li River. We especially liked the quiet location. Our room had a panoramic view of the river and karst peaks. We are grateful for our (English-speaking) hosts Flora and Ula who arranged activities for us and made sure we were able to get transportation and tickets. Thank you Flora and Ula! We loved our afternoon of biking along the Yu Long River with our guide Annie - such a memorable experience - thank you, Annie! I enjoyed late afternoon swimming in the hotel's pool - with a spectacular view of karst peaks. The bed was comfortable; the towels were white, clean, and fresh. The food in the restaurant was very good; the price was reasonable and there was a lot of variety in dishes. We ate both breakfast and dinner in the quiet and cool lounge area.

Excellent service by staff. They contacted us as soon as we had made the booking and shared all the activities that were possible in Yangshuo along with prices. They gave us the option to make bookings ourselves or what it would cost us to go through them. The service was faultless. The room was large. Breakfast was a set meal and was freshly prepared. Location - on the first day, we were worried that it was not in the town centre but it was so easy and cheap to get a Didi to take us back to the property. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to town twice a day and back from town to the property twice a day. They also connected with us on WeChat so that we could message them if we had any trouble and needed anything from them.

The cleaning of the room could have been slightly better. It was slightly inconsistent

The location was very peaceful and quiet with a wonderful view. The staff were all very friendly and kind and helped to arrange a few least minute trips for me. Provided this big incense stick that helped to keep mosquito away. Pool was refreshing. Close to the arrival area for some of the li river cruise bit not too close that it was crowded or noisy.

Pool has some mosquitos near it in the afternoon. This is just part of the season i went and i think it's normal. Maybe those big incense sticks near the pool would help? Just noting this now. If i asked at the time I'm sure they would have helped with it. Generally a great experiance.

The room was big and really pretty, bed was very comfortable and the view was just beautiful, right in front of the Li River and a karst. We sat in the balcony to enjoy the view and take photos, at various times of day and night, and wished we did not have to leave. The infinity pool was a big plus, for a end of day relaxing plunge or early morning swim. Very well set and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Breakfast was excellent. The location is very peaceful, which for us was a real bonus, since Yangshuo is very busy everywhere. Here all you hear are birds and the occasional boat passing by.

The hotel was gorgeous. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the lobby with a cup of lemon water. We stayed in the riverview family room which was huge and beautifully decorated. It made for a very comfortable stay with a great view of the mountains and Li River. The staff were exceptional. They were friendly, and went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. The location of the hotel was more out of the way, about a 10 minute car ride to West Street, and it is not the easiest to book a Didi from the hotel due to restrictions entering the area at certain times of the day. However, this wasn't a huge issue because the hotel has a free shuttle to West Street in the morning and afternoon. Booking a Didi from West Street back to the hotel at night is pretty easy too. Breakfast is a la carte with Chinese and Continental options. It is filling. We met the owner as well who was very friendly. There were guests from all over the world staying in the hotel. Probably the best hotel experience I have had, would definitely recommend to stay here.

I had an outstanding stay at the Li River Resort. Staff: The friendly and polite staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They even took the initiative to contact us about some jewelry we accidentally left behind, ensuring it was safely moved to our new room—truly exceptional service! Food: Meals were served promptly, allowing us to enjoy our time without long waits. Nachos were amazing! View: The view was fantastic—quiet and serene, just as I hoped it would be. This tranquil setting was exactly why I chose this resort. Highly recommend!

While my stay at the Li River Resort was wonderful, there are a few areas that could be improved: Pool Area Cleanliness: I noticed that the pool area could benefit from more attention. There were leftover cigarette butts, food droppings on the floor, and unfortunately, some cat waste near the pool chairs. Additionally, I spotted a few bugs in the pool, which is understandable given the forest setting, but a little more upkeep would enhance the experience. Overall, with some improvements in cleanliness, the resort could be even more inviting.
