Kind host and can speak English very well. Beautiful room, bar, breakfast area... everything is authentic, traditional and well maintained with all modern necessities. Location is good, next to cute plaza with restaurants and bars, 5 minutes from the bridge that brings to you Polish border over the river.

Parking in front of the door was not allowed, so needed to park at a street a bit further. 1 Euro per 30 minutes, pretty expensive and you need to pay with cash at the place.

The location is great, and the surroundings are very nice. The room was very spacious, clean, and nicely arranged. I liked how soundproof the room was - this is a rare thing. The bathroom area with a big tub right in the center is a nice way to relax.

I felt a lack of English instructions - almost everything was in German. All the signs in the hotel and almost all the instructions given by email or via Booking messages were also in German. Even the menu in the restaurant required me to use Google Translate. And I wasn't impressed by the breakfast - it's pretty basic, and the omelet was not basic, but really bad.

The Hotel is nice and sophisticated, the staff is friendly and the breakfast served in a beautiful inner "winter garden".

The bathroom has no doors - this is interesting, but not comfortable at all. It could be also great to receive parking instructions and possibility to park the car BEFORE the check-in, as it is common in hotels of that level. The street is in the center, you are not allowed to park near reception...but you cannot park your car before check-in...it's completely unacceptable and uncomfortable.

Rooms were large, clean, warm and very well designed with a large heated floor bathroom.

Small duvet on a large bed. Would recommend a bigger duvet. 6 windows in room, really need larger curtains to fully cover and black out sunlight in morning. We arrived at the hotel late for check in travelling for work. It would have been nice if the kitchen could of offered us food when we checked in as there was nowhere else locally to get food at that time of night.

It’s so beautiful- love the place! Rooms, view and bathroom are fantastic- very special and would be back again! Breakfast really nice, staff for breakfast is so forthcoming! All in all a recommendation!

Just a small thing and not a criticism at all…but be aware to come on time before 18 where the reception will close. You then get a code to get in 🙏🏽 - and parking is available but have to walk a short distance. Really no issue at all!!

What a stunning architectural remodel! Such detail in every design choice. Quality materials and attention to detail. The lovely design made the stay exceptional. Wonderful communication from the staff!

We did not have the breakfast because I felt the price was too high. 18 euros per person! We went around the corner and four people had a hot and generous breakfast with coffees for 35 euros total at the bakery. We would like to have had the convenience of breakfast at the hotel if it had been comparable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Emmerich Hotel. Situated in the historic Alstadt it is perfectly located for visitors who want to explore the old town. The renovation of the building and conversion into a hotel has been sympathetically and tastefully done. The fixtures and fittings of the rooms are of a high quality. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had an exceptionally good meal in the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was terrific too.

Great location on the lower square. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the square. A big room with lots of character and very comfortable. It's a beautiful building in the heart of old Gorlitz.

Breakfast was good but seemed a bit lacking. The staff there didn't really speak English, which I don't mind generally (it is Germany), but we didn't have the ability to make any special orders, like for eggs. The staffing is very minimal it seemed - the one person at reception was only there until 6:00 pm and wasn't very aware of directions to parking. There was an event going on by the river with some road closures and we had to get around that without the GPS or clear directions.

The Room was very spacious and extremely well decorated. The bed was super comfortable and the whole area was very propitious to spend time in the room resting. The staff was very friendly. With a special attention on the bar/restaurant.Amazing Staff. By the way, the restaurant is a delight. Definitely worth a visit for dinner.

The breakfast was what did not live to the expectations. I mean. It was good, do not take me wrong. But it lacked variety. It was dissonant to the rest of the outstanding experience. I reinforce, but it was still good. Just not as amazing as all the rest in the hotel.

I’m amazed by the hotel design and location. The room size is large and the detailed of every single furniture is spectacular. It’s a mixture of classical & modern luxury style. The receptionist is extremely representative & professional with warm welcoming and good bye.

The carpet of the elevator needs to be replaced.
