Family owned and run, no chain, the decoration is out of this world, and with their attention to details, there is no compromise anywhere. One day they ran out of bread. No clients complained as we all rejoiced in their humane scarcity and applauded their complimentary imperfection. Breakfast is massive with a separate room for larger parties, great selection of food, lovely staff, Madam herself a real charm to chat to and her husband is her equal. The rooms are amazing, huge, large, spacious and i will, despite my parents living in the same city, for sure book it again. The level of customer care is unparalleled i have experienced anywhere else, and I am a Hilton Gold Member.

Its is addictive, so be careful. You will want to come back to the hotel real quick.

Quirky, vintage style was my favourite, as well as a cosy, studio flat feel to the room. I love unusual hotels and it is very unusual. The bed was very comfortable and the cushions and the duvet very soft. I slept very well there. I really enjoyed my stay despite a couple of things marked below.

I think the bathroom is disappointing when you first see it. Even in a vintage hotel you expect a clean feel to the bathroom but it seems very unloved and not maintained. There are a few relatively cheap fixes that could be done to improve or. A nicer floor, tile grout refresh, painting the door. Additionally, it would be nice if the twin beds could be locked together. My partner and I wanted to cuddle but the beds just separated like a modern chastity belt of sorts.

Staying at this place was truly a great experience! The interior design was very interesting, aesthetic, and clearly put together with a lot of creativity. A big advantage was the possibility to leave my luggage in the morning before check-in – it was very convenient. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a truly huge variety of dishes to choose from. I highly recommend this place!

Breakfast was organised like an art exhibition and also had available plant based "milk" for the coffee and muesli. There were radishes and more other veggies and fruits, so the hotel is a decent choice for plant eaters. And top of all - the location of the hotel, just in the heart of Ystad and nearby the waterfront.

What could be better - hummus at breakfast for plant eaters. What could be helpful - a notice during the booking to the message that the parking is available and that it is a payable service per night (~10 EUR).

Very interesting breakfast area. Lots of artwork on the walls and mixture of regular lighting and candles. We thought it was like being on a stage set with figures dressed as historical characters and lots of unusual pieces of furniture and pottery. Our room was in an extension and was full of antique furniture and amusing pottery and plants.

there wasn't a lift to our rooms with were in an extension but normally this would have beenno problem but we were both having difficulties with our legs.

Exceptional service, facilities, comfort and value for money. From the start of our stay, the welcoming, friendly and super-helpful approach from this family run hotel enabled us to have a really magical stay in this lovely historic town. Our all too short a stay in the off-season was in a relaxing and different destination that can be highly recommended; especially for those who want to see a beautiful area of Sweden less known to foreign visitors.

The en-suite wet room had a shower that possibly needs a couple of safety rails for the more 'balance challenged' like myself along with additional shelving for bits and bobs: although I gather updating of these features is on the agenda. Some tourist venues are shut until the main season ramps up and then one would expect that the whole town would have a different feel, being much more busy.

The owners were so helpful and friendly The breakfast was excellent and they coped well with a super busy service Quirky place located right in the centre of town close to all amenities

My room overlooked a little roof terrace, it would have been nice to have a screen, one way film or something on the window so that I didn't have to close my curtains for privacy and sit in the dark

Prins Charles Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We appreciated the room upgrade with a lovely view of Ystad. The breakfast hostess offered valuable advice and warm hospitality. We'll definitely revisit!"

Lovely genuine staff who showed real interest in us as holidaymakers. The hotel had a lot of character with beautiful art in our bedroom which overlooked the cobbled street leading to the central square. The bedroom was light and airy. Hotel very convenient for the town of Ystad. We enjoyed a good tasty breakfast.

Bathroom rather small and the bedroom would have benefited from at least one larger bedside table.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. It felt like coming to a family hotel (and this is what the hotel is), which is a nice change from impersonal hotels.

I am vegan and there were not many vegan options for breakfast. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room and there are lots of different types of food. It would have been nice to have vegan yogurt, vegan butter, hummus etc.
