The room was warm and plenty of hot water was available before we got up. There was plenty of storage space. Our dog was made very welcome. The fridge in the bedroom was very useful for storing his food. It also contained bottles of fresh milk, ideal for making drinks using the provided kettle and refreshments tray. Breakfast was excellent. a great choice, with full English including local sausages, fresh tomatoes and mushrooms.

We were asked to take off our shoes near the door. When we took an invited walk around the farm, it was clear that the need to remove shoes was due to the muddy farmyard, but our room was close to the main farmhouse and accessed over clean gravel.

This was a wonderful stay. I will definitely return! The owner Beverley is really lovely and welcoming. The room was quiet and comfortable, including a great bed. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The location is beautiful and quiet but also very handy for reaching nearby amenities (I went to the cinema and shopping at Rushden Lakes and to the nearby National Trust Lyvden). Overall, a really great, authentic, farmhouse B&B.

This is a rustic farmhouse, so you need to expect that. It was a very windy evening and the window frames rattled quite a bit! And although all the important things were spotlessly clean (like the bed and the bathroom), some less-used areas could have done with a wipe. (Same could be said of my own home, though!)

Had a very pleasant stay at this traditional farmstay b&b. The room was vastly spacious for the price paid with plenty of room to work, plus a guests sitting room downstairs as a bonus. The cooked breakfast in the morning was lovely and the hostess cheerful and helpful. The nearby market town of Thrapston has all the amenities one could need, and is about 5 mins drive. Overall, a very pleasant and good value traditional farmstay.

Peartree Farm B&B was excellent and outstanding value for money. Simple ensuite rooms on a working farm in picture perfect scenery. The breakfast was the highlight - in Beverley's beautiful farmhouse and so generous that I didn't need lunch, making the stay even better value for money. The small bottles of real milk in the fridge in the room were a nice touch - so much better than little plastic pots of miserable UHT. Aldwinkle itself had a lot more to it than just a cute name, including a nature reserve with bird spotting shelters, ye olde churches and more. I imagine Americans would be beside themselves at the quaintness. A very pleasant 10 minute drive from Oundle, avoiding the main road, I will definitely be back.

Lovely host and very good English breakfast - by day 2 it was cooked exactly as I like it! The property is quiet. There is a comfortable guest sitting room with board games. Good Internet.

There is no pub in the village! It's a bit of a drive to Islip to find the nearest pub but Thrapston has several good ones and a variety of the usual British eateries: Chinese takeaway, Kebab shop, Indian restaurant.

Beverley is one of the warmest, most welcoming and helpful hosts I've ever experienced at a B&B. The room was very clean and warm, the bedding comfortable, and it was lovely and quiet. As we left we agreed we'd definitely come back to stay here without question. The room was actually much nicer than they seem in the photos so it all hugely exceeded expectations. A generous, wonderfully set up and lovely brekkie.

For me, it’s placed in the right place for me to go fishing, but not far to the nearest main town. You got a choice of the stables or in the house, I picked the stables, you always get a nice breakfast, plenty to eat. and Beverly always makes you welcome and feel at home.for what you pay it’s a nice place to stay.and always lovely and quiet.

Fantastic all round. With my little girl. Host was friendly and accommodating. Included a little fridge for milk and other snacks we brought with us. The living room was a fab thing for my friend to come and sit with us to have a chat. The location was perfect and even had a park for my little one to play in 2 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Bev the host was excellent, room was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely 😍 the area was Beautiful. Can't fault the place at all except you do need a car because there are no buses. It was raining a lot so didn't get to see the whole area..I wish I had book for 2 or 3 days. Would definitely recommend this place.

Just the rain and no buses. But hey you can't relay on the English weather so no one's fault.

If I was being picky, the toilet in my room was difficult to flush (I suspect it could do with a new diaphragm in the cistern) and the shower hose was also damaged meaning it was leaking. But these wouldn't deter me from coming back again.
