I stayed here over 2 separate nights travelling on business. This is an excellent airport hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, the services and timings on offer (such as breakfast from 0400) have clearly been very considered to the needs of both leisure and business travellers. Airport very close by but without feeling intrusive, room very clean. The free shuttle service operating extended hours is really good and easy to use. The free Wifi is strong enough for working without interruption. On a personal level I particularly liked the commitment to being eco-friendly, which is done very thoughtfully without compromising service levels, and the presentation of the hotel is well done - not like many airport hotels I've stayed in which are just 'functional' - the local artworks on the walls for example make this hotel more welcoming.

The only reason this isn't a 10 is because my flight arrival time c10am meant I missed breakfast (an early flight meant I hadn't eaten prior to departure) and there wasn't a clear alternative option I could see. But in the scheme of things, a minor inconvenience - particularly as this hotel's breakfast times are very extended already, so it was more lack of foresight on my part!

This hotel is very convenient for overnight stays if you need to be close to the airport for late night or early morning departures or pickups. They have a very efficient shuttle service to and from the airport for guests. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the in-house restaurant serves good food options that are well prepared. Breakfast is served from 4 am until 10 am, and a good choice of food is available.

I would say that the nightly rates are quite steep for the class of hotel. I have stayed at much more upscale, even 5 star rated hotels elsewhere in South Africa for either less or the same as what they charge per night. I understand that they clearly have a captive market, with really no other good options available nearby the airport. So I don’t expect the prices to change unless competition accommodations are built in the area.

This hotel is perfect for an overnight stay after a late flight. The breakfast was great and is available very early in the mornings, so you can set off when you need to. The bed was very comfortable and the room was larger than expected. We were also pleasantly surprised by the hotel's garden, which is basically a mini botanical garden! They have many varieties of native plants and herbs there, with information plaques and a nice pond.

The surroundings are obviously not so pretty, and our room's view was of the car rental parking. That's what you expect from an airport hotel though.

A Great Stay at Hotel Verde Cape Town I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Verde Cape Town. The hotel offers a comfortable and convenient experience, especially for travelers needing easy airport access. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms are modern, clean, and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches that contributed to a relaxing stay. The hotel’s focus on sustainability is noticeable, which is a nice bonus. Breakfast The breakfast selection was good, with a variety of fresh and healthy options. I liked that they cater to different dietary needs, including vegan and gluten-free choices. Location & Accessibility: The hotel’s proximity to the airport is a big advantage, and the complimentary shuttle service was reliable and made things easy. Despite being close to the airport, the hotel was surprisingly quiet and they have an beautiful garden, that doesn’t make you feel it is an airport hotel. Hotel Verde Cape Town is a solid choice for travelers seeking a clean, comfortable, and eco-friendly stay near the airport. I’d be happy to stay there again.

This was our second stay, we knew what to expect from the hotel itself (we'd rate it as a business hotel rather than anything else) But what brings this rather bland and boring building in the middle of an airport / industrial area to life are the staff, we'd mention one in particular - AVRIL (who was memorable over many hotel staff we come across on our travels after she helped us out with a particularly difficult problem when we stayed in March 2024). Avril surprised us on check-in with warm recognition and a friendly welcome for "returning VIP guests" - the welcome (and recognition that guests aren't just strangers passing through) made us thankful we'd arranged the stay, and made the hotel "home" for our stay. I can only hope that the owners and management recognise that the building is the hotel, but without the staff, it has no soul or heartbeat. The room was very comfortable and clean (as we the rest of the hotel) which is important for travellers, service from the staff was excellent.

The restaurant was particularly busy for dinner, although the hotel can't tell which of their guests are going to eat (and when) I feel the staff were under avoidable pressure that resulted in some diners receiving poor service - I feel we were lucky with our timing (two hours for main & desert) but as we sat it got busier and less of a good advert for the hotel

Modern and Green. This is an excellent airport offering from spacious rooms, comfortable beds and an excellent restaurant. Food in SA is top quality but here the standard is maintained. There is also a very nice short walking trail around the property. This is an ideal stay over option for international travellers on internal flights or the last night before returning home. We will return.

We availed of the shuttle into the Waterfront, a service we were thankful for. The communication regarding the pickup could be improved.

First of all, ten out of ten for the staff of the hotel. From the shuttle drivers, front desk, folks assisting with baggage, cleaners and breakfast personnel; all friendly, efficient and welcoming. Shuttles were on time, and the journey was quick and efficient. Check in was easy and straightforward. The courtesy call was a nice touch. I really love the sustainability/eco efforts of the hotel. My room was spacious, nicely designed and clean. High quality bedding and pillows and exceedingly comfortable bed. I appreciated the small bottle of fresh milk for coffee. I like that there were several fresh fruit options at breakfast. I didn't try the hot/cooked food. When you are in South Africa, you want to enjoy the wonderful fresh produce, and I am glad I could do this one last time before leaving. :)

This is a personal preference, but I did not like the smell of the shower gel/hand wash at all. I found the price on the high end for South Africa. You can stay in other 4-star establishments for almost half the price, 20 mins away. Having said, that hotel exceeded my expectations, and the stay here was a real treat and worth what I paid, when compared to hotels in major European cities. The eco credentials, the staff, and the efficiency of the airport shuttle and proximity to the airport would make me choose this hotel again.

Conveniently located near the airport, this hotel combines retro-modern aesthetics with functionality. While the hotel’s location in an industrial area offers proximity to the airport, the surrounding atmosphere may feel less picturesque. The hotel offers an airport shuttle for added convenience, making it ideal for travelers in transit. However, the breakfast, while adequate, leans towards the basic side and might leave local guests expecting more given the price point. Designed to accommodate a high volume of guests, the hotel functions smoothly, though it may lack a personalized touch. It’s a practical option for short stays with a modern vibe but might not suit those looking for exceptional value or luxurious amenities.

The hotel is located in an industrial area, so there was a lot of noise from cars and traffic, which made it hard to relax. The windows only open about a third, so there’s limited fresh air, which felt a bit stifling. These aspects made the stay less comfortable than I expected.

The location of Hotel Verde is fantastic if you are travelling to/from Cape Town International Airport. We had a super early flight so booked Hotel Verde the night before for ease. The hotel is literally across the road from the airport, and they offer a free shuttle service to/from the airport every 30mins which was very helpful. The staff were very friendly, they even offered to make us a packed breakfast since we had such an early start for our flight which I thought was a nice touch. The room was clean, had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying if you have an early or late flight and need somewhere close to the airport.

Hotel is well run. The rooms are clean, the restaurant and bar provide good food and drinks. The small walking route is a great way to entertain the kids. I also likes that there was toys fir the kids to play in the reception area along with the music instruments. I also appreciated that the hotel has a shuttle service.

I arrive 30 min early for shuttle, yet once the amount of people started to become increase, they had to get the bigger bus. There was no space for my luggage and me and my family had to wait for the driver to first drop off everyone and return to take us. This cause unnecessary stress over making our flight.
