The premise of the location is absolutely adorable. The hammock outside the king cottage was awesome to relax in because the weather was amazing. The overall atmosphere of the location is cute, and I really wish I had more time to enjoy everything at night. Self check in was easy and efficient. I really wish I could have stayed here longer than just 1 night. I never met the staff personally, but the communication over the phone was professional and kind. I stayed in the king cottage and it is definitely worth the money. Plenty of storage space, a couch and a relaxing lounge chair to sit in. There is a full sized refrigerator/freezer, a coffee machine, and a big sink.

We absolutely loved this place! The cottage we stayed in was super clean and cozy. It had a fully stocked kitchen, a comfy bed, 2 flat screen TVs with several streaming options included, robes and slippers, a Brita pitcher…..the list goes on… The grounds were lovely. Lots of places to gather with friends/family, lounge chairs and hammocks, a Koi pond, Japanese paper lanterns hanging from the trees (so pretty at night), well cared for plants and flowers all over, relaxing music playing and a very friendly Calico kitty hanging outside. Tony is absolutely wonderful! He gave us such a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We also were given 3 options for breakfast which he delivered to our door in the morning. He also offered to make us Lattes. :) I highly recommend staying at The Pines Inn and Cottages. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent communication from the host. Host offered fire and egg nog on Christmas Eve, I asked if they had any non-alcohol egg nog since we couldn’t find any at the stores. Tony left us a special pitcher of egg nog and made our stay extra special. Very dog friendly. Large garden area with plenty of seating and even covered spaces to sit outside in the rain. Very clean room. Dishes available in the kitchen.

The location and environment was very peaceful. I enjoyed that it was a separate cottage which allowed for privacy. All the facilities were updated comfortable and clean. Perfect place for dogs also! The manager was very responsive and offered plenty of things to do and places to eat in Grass Valley.

Was close to the highway. But didn’t notice any noise, was still very quiet.

The extra touch, like the coy pond and little covered coffee and other bar (we enjoyed our morning in it). Tony was so nice and helpful. A nice walk to old town for dinner and morning coffee (coffee is also available in the rooms and outside in area mentioned above). All necessities of kitchen laid out. Shower head was fantastic.

We were greeted by James, he was very welcoming. He showed us to our cute cottage. And he showed us around the property. In the morning when we were going to check out, another very nice man wanted to make us some breakfast. We felt so welcomed at this location.

The walls are a bit thin, but everyone was quiet.

Tony met me at my car to check me in. He set a secure, personalized code to enter my cottage, which made me feel safe. The cottage was beyond adorably decorated! But what really stood out to me was the cleanliness and the breakfast delivered to my door. Thank you for this stay!

The owner, Tony, could not have been more lovely! Breakfast was Amazing! Wine by the fire at night! Great price! Clean and dog friendly! No hidden charges and beautiful location! We will definatly be back!!

Lovely room. Comfortable bed. Beautiful outside sitting area. Host was friendly and responsive.

Our room was quite difficult to get warm using the “split” unit in the room. We finally got a space heater that fixed that and we were cozy.

Everything. It was perfect. I thought at frist with the rooms being so close,that we ould hear the people in the room next to us. But, we couldn't hear anything.
