Nicely remodeled Nice grounds Close to everything you need Coffee, bananas and muffins/pastry to grab and go. Friendly staff and easy check in.

I asked for my room to be clean cuz I could see the button of the toilet was showing the yellow slime, so obviously it needed to be cleaned as well as the corners in the shower had yellow slime accumulation. The beds were made and the floor was cleaned, but not the toilet or the shower. Then when we returned at night, there was a very strong/strange smell in the room that we slept with the windows open in order to get some fresh air in the room. We did get clean towels though.

The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable with a good use of space. It's small, but plenty of storage and a layout that takes advantage of the small space. There are seating areas outside and some units have patios. Nice retro refrigerator and microwave. Property is clean and fresh looking. Amenities for the room available upon request. I loved that it had a mini-split air/heating unit, which is much quieter than most motel below window units, and much easier to adjust temperature and fan speed. Reading lights on the bedside table lamps. Single level property, which cuts down on the noise. Plenty of free parking. Would definitely stay here again.

In a double queen there is no chair and no room for a chair. My daughter stayed in a king room, and there was a metal chair. Not enough hangers for a 3 day stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—just minutes from all the sights we wanted to see, with plenty of great food and fun nearby. The added perk of 10% off at the bowling alley was a nice touch, and having the Tasty Freeze right next door was a bonus! The property itself was well-kept, peaceful, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Our room (400+) was spotless, and we truly appreciated how accommodating the staff was with our fur baby, making sure we had a room with easy access to a grassy area for her. Small details like this made our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Very friendly people, from the motel to the bowling alley /pool hall. Nice retro modern vibe. Mostly good lighting, But the bathroom has no low lighting option. Good Mexican food nearby, also a mini mart. Nice being able to walk to what you need. Looks like the pool view units would be very nice. I thought we had one, but we didn't. Air conditioning was good, easy to use, and quiet. Mini blinds and a blackout shade option was nice. Bathroom sink was very cool. Maybe add a shelf underneath? In keeping with retro, the pool had an 8 ft deep end! That's kind of hard to find these days, so yay! All in all, a great stay.

I wanted to rearrange the "kitchen". 😄 If the microwave and coffee were switched with the refrigerator, it would all work a lot better. The refrigerator opens backwards against a wall. The room was kind of small, but okay..

The room was exactly as advertised on Trivago's site - very clean and spacious enough. The motel was remodeled a few years ago so the room has very new amenities. The attention to details was impressive - The appliances were retro style, bathroom had very modern fixtures etc. There was even a cooler and blanket for use on a picnic. The property is well maintained. The staff was pleasant and responsive. At check-in, we received an upgrade from a queen bed to king bed room with a large private patio. I would definitely return to this motel in the future as well as recommend it to friends, family etc.

This wasn't a big deal but we would have liked a small table and chair/s in the room but it didn't seem there was enough space in this particular room.

It was very clean and had a retro vibe. Our room had cute red frigidaire fridge. Microwave and keurig. Everything seemed updated. The location was great near lots of food options and freeway. The grounds were well maintained. Staff was friendly. We previously stayed accross the street at BW the only thing they had that this place didnt was breakfast and a bathtub. Gave us a reason to go to Awful Annies. Thr shower was really nice. Large size. Good water pressure. Our room also had a little semi private patio.We will return.

Tesla Supercharging stations adjacent to motel. Restaurants, fast food, self-serve car wash for adventurers wanting to wash the vehicle after a camping, fishing trip or other. Hop on and off Hwy 80 convenience. Maintained the 50's look and feel with modern and quality updates to rooms and especially bathrooms. Bowling alley with food, bar and pool hall looked very nice when I went to check it out. Hope to play a few rounds next time. Great motel to explore the area from. Wine tasting to biking, hiking and much more in the area. I'd call this my perfect Pit Stop Motel on the way to and from great trips on this rout.

For what this motel provides I can't find anything wrong with it and for travelers heading to destinations especially with an EV it has everything you need and most convenient.

This is a great stay with character and modern upgrades. Double queen rooms are small (there are ADA King rooms which are more spacious) but everything is smartly renovated, fresh and appealing. Spotlessly clean, nice showers and fluffy towels, with excellent quality mattresses for a good night's sleep. Keuregs and vintage style fridges in each room. The setting on a little hill top is wonderful, catching breezes and free of noise from highways nearby,. There is a small, well-maintained pool surrounded by grassy slopes below. Outside areas are set up with comfy colorful adirondack chairs for lounging, allowing our group to gather for snacks before heading off to dinner (thank you, Glen, for providing a folding table!). Glen and manager Michael and the invisible housekeeping staff are truly welcoming and devoted to making your stay the best. We loved Foothills and highly recommend it to anyone passing through Auburn.

Aweeeesssome location! We called upon check-in because we were going to arrive closer to 11 pm. The gentleman who answered the phone was easy to talk to. Let us know that he would be there for us. When I asked if we arrive later, would it be a problem? He shared that there is a doorbell and the manager would be happy to help us upon arrival. Upon check in, the gentleman was super nice and very welcoming. We came for a family celebration event, and we will be back. This place thought of everything, from make-up removal wipes and towel to large screen TV. It is close to food, fun and really just about everything you might need. Excellent location. It has well laid out, and had plenty of comfortable chairs to sit outside and chit-chat with your family or friends. We will be back!!!

We liked everything about this place!

Staff was friendly. Helped me change my dates last minute, after I booked the wrong dates. Retro feel was fun and bathroom was nice. Everything was clean. Pool was nice, they provided pool towels. It's close to food and gas stations. It's a 20 to 25 minute drive to the Roseville area. Quiet area and great value for the price.
