We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—just minutes from all the sights we wanted to see, with plenty of great food and fun nearby. The added perk of 10% off at the bowling alley was a nice touch, and having the Tasty Freeze right next door was a bonus! The property itself was well-kept, peaceful, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Our room (400+) was spotless, and we truly appreciated how accommodating the staff was with our fur baby, making sure we had a room with easy access to a grassy area for her. Small details like this made our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

The room was exactly as advertised on Trivago's site - very clean and spacious enough. The motel was remodeled a few years ago so the room has very new amenities. The attention to details was impressive - The appliances were retro style, bathroom had very modern fixtures etc. There was even a cooler and blanket for use on a picnic. The property is well maintained. The staff was pleasant and responsive. At check-in, we received an upgrade from a queen bed to king bed room with a large private patio. I would definitely return to this motel in the future as well as recommend it to friends, family etc.

This wasn't a big deal but we would have liked a small table and chair/s in the room but it didn't seem there was enough space in this particular room.

It was very clean and had a retro vibe. Our room had cute red frigidaire fridge. Microwave and keurig. Everything seemed updated. The location was great near lots of food options and freeway. The grounds were well maintained. Staff was friendly. We previously stayed accross the street at BW the only thing they had that this place didnt was breakfast and a bathtub. Gave us a reason to go to Awful Annies. Thr shower was really nice. Large size. Good water pressure. Our room also had a little semi private patio.We will return.

Aweeeesssome location! We called upon check-in because we were going to arrive closer to 11 pm. The gentleman who answered the phone was easy to talk to. Let us know that he would be there for us. When I asked if we arrive later, would it be a problem? He shared that there is a doorbell and the manager would be happy to help us upon arrival. Upon check in, the gentleman was super nice and very welcoming. We came for a family celebration event, and we will be back. This place thought of everything, from make-up removal wipes and towel to large screen TV. It is close to food, fun and really just about everything you might need. Excellent location. It has well laid out, and had plenty of comfortable chairs to sit outside and chit-chat with your family or friends. We will be back!!!

We liked everything about this place!

We didn’t have breakfast at the motel, but were thrilled with the modernization of the facility while maintaining a look of the Lincoln Highway era of our country. We last stayed at Foothills some dozen years ago, also during Thanksgiving.My wife and I both had eyes wondering as we climbed the driveway. Open the door: WOW. The bathroom, WOW. Clean, fresh, quiet. Easy walk for dogs to a large field.A block from I-80, yet didn’t hear a truck. Good luck on your future. All the best from the Hickoks.

We have no criticisms for the facility. We weren’t expecting the Ritz. We got, I thought, a great value in our stay.

Everything from the customer service to the beds and pillows far exceeded my expectations. one of the best hotel experiences I've had to date. Friendly people pristine rooms and great value!! Didn't see a single guest without a smile on their face. Great location close to literally everything a person could want or need and minutes away from iconic historical landmarks including the forresthill bridge which is the tallest in the entire state . Even after reading the reviews, which are all great, this place was still better than I had even hoped. Definitely a hidden Northern California gem with all the charm and hospitality of a time long gone.

if I had to find something to complain about the only thing I can think of is that they were unable to control the weather and jumping into their beautiful 8ft deep swimming pool was akin to taking the polar plunge challenge.. still not complaining, even that was pretty fun!

Think Schitts Creek vibes but upgraded. It was cozy and the string lights outside give it a cute touch. The mini fridge has tons of space and the bathroom has lighting around the mirror. Beds were comfortable and blankets were soft. It was also quiet with a nice cool ac unit

I wish I would’ve specified a room with the outdoor patio facing the pool like the photos I had seen online. There isn’t flat counter space around the bathroom sink so everything rolls off. The housekeepers gotta lay off the pledge wood cleaner because the smell was overwhelming walking in and it didn’t go away

We weren't expecting much from a motel, especially since it is pretty close to the freeway. Instead the room was quiet, modern and clean. It's great being able to drive right up to the room door and also not having anyone above you. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The rooms have an espresso machine. Ours didn't work. We went to the desk and within 5 minutes we had a replacement. It's also easy to get around since it's right off the main highway.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with true warmth. Check-in was quick and efficient, but fun. We felt like they were genuinely happy we were there. The room was clean, spacious, updated, and decorated in a darling mid century motif. The bright red retro refrigerator and matching microwave were so fun! The beds were SO comfortable, and you cannot hear the parking lot noise or the neighbors.

There wasn't a single thing to dislike.

this is quite possibly the best motel in the auburn area. Its clean, newly remodeled, ample parking, good price, plenty of amenities like a fridge, Keurig coffee maker, big working flatscreen tv {with a working remote}. The beds are comfortable, no torn or stained sheets. Add the fact that this is an independent motel run by very cool local people, and not some overpriced corporate brand is all the more reason to visit this hidden gem. Honestly I really couldnt ask for better place to stay.
