Hugely characterful hotel in a very picturesque location. Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was huge with an excellent shower. Dinner was very tasty and the restaurant was very lively on a Friday night.

As a few other reviewers have mentioned, check-in process is not ideal. We wanted to request a couple of additional pillows but there is no one to ask about these sort of things. The room was incredibly hot overnight and the loud disco that went on in the outdoor terrace (which our room with 2 children) was overlooking meant we couldn’t really open the windows to cool down. Also many, many steps from the car park to the hotel and even more to the room.

Great location. Having breakfast in the morning you felt like an eagle perched on a cliff somewhere overlooking the surrounding country. Amazing. Team in the restaurant for dinner. They were top.

When we arrived at the place we couldn’t get in and had to phone a telephone number to enter. Whoever answered was limit “polite”. Obviously didn’t think that working in hospitality meant being hospitable. Can’t understand the relationship between them and the restaurant because staff in the restaurant couldn’t have been more polite and helpful.

The location and room are really beautiful!! It’s a very special place to spend the night. If you decide to eat at the restaurant, it makes your stay even more comfortable en fun. The staff is friendly en understanding. We stayed here on our way home from Italy, and by delay we arrived much later as planned. Nonetheless we could still have a meal at te restaurant!

There is no WiFi, of we couldn’t find it. The bedspread were very thick and fluffy. For a person with astma like myself it is not ideal. Even too It looks great on the beds.

Impressive location! The ad on Booking.com does not do this justice. It is perched at the top of a hill amongst old monuments. Amazing views. The table in the room was beautifully set and we had a fridge with water, milk, juice etc. Freshly baked bread arrived to the room on the morning. The room was beautifully decorated. The restaurant was very busy - so must be good.

The sofa bed was very creaky and very very loud. I hardly dare move a muscle. Needs some TLC.

The location and the view were amazing. The rooms were cosy, comfortable and clean, and the restaurant downstairs was excellent. The breakfast was simple, but plenty of choice to keep six of us happy.

The check in process was a little difficult with no-one available upon arrival, and unfortunately we cannot speak French. We contacted the telephone number near the restaurant and eventually were given instructions, however this would have been easier with instructions possibly emailed the day prior to arrival?

We visited this property in November 2023 and really enjoyed it, just wish we had more than an overnight stop to explore and take in the amazing scenery. The check-in process was a little confusing as we arrived during a downpour and signage was not very clear. The restaurant was an unexpected treat and we had one of the best meals of our trip! We highly recommend this property

Restaurant, scenery, comfortable beds

Amazing location on top of a hill inside the walls of a castle. The views from the room were amazing! The breakfast was DIY but very nice with fresh bread and croissants delivered outside our door in the morning. The restaurant for dinner was also very good with a lot of regional choices.

It was not clear from the pictures/description that both beds were in the same room. We did not work out how to work the TV.

This is a wonderful location, away from everything. The rooms are incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was at the room in the morning and we could enjoy it at our leisure. The restaurant for dinner was lovely.

Access details for the room could be sent in writing in advance. Would help with language difficulties!

We loved everything about this place. Breathtaking views from the bedroom, comfortable beds and beatifully decorated. The breakfast was good and it was nice to enjoy the views while eating. The house is built inside a fantastic ruined 12th century castle on top of a mountain. We enjoyed exploring the ruins before leaving. The restaurant downstairs looked very nice but there wasn't much choice for vegetarians so we didn't eat there.

Maybe receiving the code by sms on the day would be more convenient so you don’t have to disturb the owner I hadn’t realised this was not a hotel in the very classic way and that breakfast would be in your room. Nothing wrong with that but maybe should be made more clear in the description?
