A friendly welcome to a beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the books in the room were a nice touch. We had an excellent evening meal in the garden, and a lovely breakfast.

The village is beautiful, but the church bells ring every hour, don't forget your earplugs.

This hotel is an absolute gem! A beauriful hotel in a very pretty village. Our room was very large and charming, with several large windows and a massive, very comfortable bed. We had an excellent meal at the attached restaurant and enjoyed watching the many storks nesring on the rooftops. The staff were delightful.

The room was not air conditioned, though we did not need it on the night we stayed.

The hotel is basic, but charming and just right for an overnight stay. What makes it exceptional is the setting for the dinner in the garden and the food is also of very good quality, delicious, and beautifully presented.

The hotel was fantastic value for money. I loved how ancient the village is, how quaint but comfortable the hotel is and dining in the garden, overlooked by the great ancient church, was superb - good food in an atmospheric location. I loved all of the storks who nest on many of the rooftops in the village.

Great place, good room, comfortable bed, polite staff, great terrace and beer with a good breakfast.

Could of had a kettle and coffee in room....Room was hot was at top of building I had a portable fan which helped.

This is a hotel with character. The building is old but it has charm. The room was simple and clean and the bathroom was modern. Free parking in the yard was available and very convenient. The highlight was the restaurant. The menu and service were very good. Breakfast choices were taken at the check in and the selection was ready on a reserved table in the morning.

This place has a lot of character and is located in a pretty village in an area where there is a lot to do and see Sadly this time we were in transit and arrived after 9 pm which incurred an extra charge of 20 euros (but the staff had sent an email letting us know about this) Staff were very friendly and although we missed out on dinner we were able to empty glass of lovely local red wine on arrival The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a lovely view of he backyard and church Excellent breakfast

Nice hotel with a lovely restaurant with garden terrace. Located in a quiet village with beautiful surroundings of the Vosges

Herrenstein was a superb family run hotel in Alsace. We stopped overnight and had dinner al fresco in the garden and a lovely room overlooking the town. After a good breakfast ,with the car outside the door the Herrenstein is as good ad it gets for a stopover and we might stop a few days next year to explore the Alsace region
