Beautiful location in the forest - access via a private road. Our room was at the front of the property overlooking the outdoor eating area and the small lake. Generous portions of nice food. Bedroom clean with comfortable beds and ideal accommodation for a night or two

Dinner choice appeared limited although not sure if this was a particular night or not. Host not too impressed when we opted to sit indoors. But not fond of wasps invading my dinner outside though! Yes we did choose to stay in a forest.

The fact that the hotel has managed to maintain its French family run atmosphere. The tolerance of the staff to the "mad English" guests, a description that seemed very appropriate. The food served in the restaurant was very good and very French. Most of all, the stay was great fun.

Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations.

Very authentic, beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. It is far from the town, but for us that is what we were looking for- right in the forest and by hiking trails. The staff was largely very pleasant and helpful, even though we did not speak French or German :) The rooms were clean, and a view from the balcony amazing. The restaurant and the food was fantastic.

It would be great if a shower had a curtain or a glass partition, as well as a shower head holder a bit higher, so that you could take a shower standing. Ours was cracked, so it could not be used with water running anyway. The rooms could use a bit of a refresh. A coffee/tea set would be a great addition, since the restaurant is not always open and stores are far.

Food at the dinner was exceptional. Breakfast was very good especially when you can enjoy your coffee setting outside with romantic view. Staff was very friendly and spoke German. Unexpectedly good mattresses, I was sleeping as a baby. Good option to take sauna, will do next time for sure.

I loved the location in the forest up a quiet road. The building was lovely with large outdoor eating area.

The floor was not cleaned when I entered and the shower was not very successful.

Couldn't fault our stay. Would love to visit again sometime. Amazing food and delightful location especially watching the fish leaping out of the water. Lovely walks.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of my room, which was more spacious than I had expected. It even came with a walk-in closet of sorts, with several shelves for my plentiful luggage. The bed was very comfortable. I slept well in it. The bathroom (with a full-sized tub) was lovely, as well. Wi-Fi was pretty decent. Staff were a little gruff, I felt, but helpful. Breakfast was very nice.

I was unable to use the desk in my room because the chair and desk didn't match (not enough room for my legs between the desk and the seat), so I ended up doing all my work in bed, which was less than ideal. Also, I had severe diarrhoea after my first dinner at the hotel's restaurant (trout with almonds). However, I didn't have any issues after my second meal (a very tasty salad). A small refrigerator in the room would have been nice.

Very calming and rejuvenating place to stop and recharge on my journey. Everything was perfect-finding location, the staff, room, food.

The staffs are really nice and welcoming. It has a familiar ambiance and the location is perfect for a quiet escape. Most importantly for us, the place is very dog friendly :)

The building is quite old that the bedrooms are not quite soundproofed. The beds could be more comfortable.

This hotel is located in de middle of a beautiful forest. It is a very quiet place and the meals are excellent.
