Location is key. It’s right below the Punta Arenas City lookout. Our room was super clean and the blackout curtains worked wonderfully to allow us to rest (only 4-6 hours of dark during the summer!!). The restaurant is top notch as well. We went to another restaurant (La Marmita) on a different day and the food was nothing compared to the La Yegua Loca Restaurant.

An exceptional boutique hotel in Punta Arenas. Each room is decorated differently in a uniquely rustic Chilean style - we were in The Stables on the first floor. A very large room with lovely antiques and decoration, an ocean view and really big comfy bed. As the property is over 100 years old there is some creaking of the wooden floors and stairs as people move about but nothing too annoying. It's a short walk down to the city centre. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Although it's located at the top of a small hill and there are stairs to the front entry, they have a trolley lift that brings your luggage up so no heavy lifting is required. There is a wonderful onsite restaurant (also open to the public) and we had the best meal of our whole 5 weeks trip here - the King Crab Cannelloni was sooo good! Wished we had had a longer stay than just the 1 night. Would stay here again if we are ever in Punta Arenas.

We pre-ordered a taxi to the airport for three people plus luggage and hand luggage. The taxi that came could only take 2 people plus luggage so had to pay another 15000 pesos fare for another taxi. The second taxi came quickly though and they did apologise.

This hotel is amazing. Unfortunately, we were only passing through and just stayed one night so didn’t really get to fully appreciate it. It’s a themed hotel with the most amazing decorations and charm. It’s spectacularly clean and the staff were wonderful- they really couldn’t do enough. But the absolute highlight was the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Best meals I’ve had in the five weeks I’ve been traveling and I’ve had some wonderful meals. It’s in a great location within easy walking distance of the square. The only thing to be mindful of is stairs, both outside to get to the hotel and inside to get to your room. It’s a 100 year old renovated building with a load of charm including the 100 year old staircases.

This eclectic hotel was fabulous. The staff was tremendous and we loved all of the western themed decor throughout the hotel & restaurant. The restaurant & view was especially spectacular! The food and drink choices were spectacular and very reasonably priced. We ate breakfast & dinner there all 3 nights.

The hotel is located on the side of a hill. We had no problem with stairs but could see it could pose a problem for some guests. The view is worth it! There could have been a second waste basket in the room- not just the small one in the bathroom.

This is a quirky boutique hotel that is well placed a short walk from the centre of Punta Arenas. Our room had a huge bed (great) with a balcony that has a view over the town towards the sea. The restaurant is excellent and it also provides great views over the town. Our room was on the top level and there is an external electric operated platform to move the luggage from the ground floor to the room.

The breakfast options are freshly prepared, which can take some time. This wasn't a problem for us, but guests on a tighter schedule need to be aware so that they allow sufficient time and don't get frustrated.

This was a second stay in one week, on a return journey. My first review covered all things positive, and they were the same for this stay with different staff being just as helpful.

Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were a bit tired and need updating so they work efficiently eg shower head fixing properly to the post so it can work without being held and shower screen door handle loose. Not significant enough to make it spoil the overall stay but possibly would if paying top season prices. Also the views to the front are great but not to the back, so be mindful of that if it’s important to you. Would still recommend!

This hotel feels like a home from home, and its warm and cozy. It has unique and unusually designed rooms, which are very comfortable. It has an amazing restaurant with excellent food.

We had paid for a superior room with a panoramic view , which I had assumed would be of the sea. I was disappointed that actually our room was at the back of the hotel (called the hunters room) and the majority of the panorama was a footpath behind the hotel and of the town, you had to pull the net curtains otherwise you are on the same level as anyone who walks past you on the footpath who could look directly into your room. You could see the sea if you looked out of the right hand corner of the window. So I felt a little bit mis-sold, I would suggest that they describe this room as a partial sea view and advertise it at a slightly lower rate.

We have been welcomed by the very kind Valentina with a super tasty local limonade. Valentina has been very sweet and helpful. She organised our transit from airport to the hotel and our breakfast to-go. The facilities are exceptional, the atmosphere is warm, comfortable, sharing the legacy of the past. The room are super cosy with thematic decoration. It is lovely. In addition, we have enjoyed a very nice dinner in the restaurant where you can try delightful local food in a charming environnement. Thank you la Yegua loca for this incredible experience, your place is a must stop and your service is impressive!

Beautiful boutique hotel with unique touches throughout. The room was large in size and had interesting features, and the shower was great. They put a lot of care into the little touches around the hotel. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was great - awesome views. We had a very early departure and they were kind enough to leave an early, simple breakfast out for us in the dining room. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind, and spoke great English. Would definitely recommend!

Lots to like! The creativeness, character and style of the decor throughout the hotel is done really well, the room I was in was very classy, spacious and comfortable. The bed was very/super comfortable, slept well. Views were of the whole town, as described, and very striking, even in the wet weather! The staff were great - in particular, René and Daniel (hope I got the names spelt right). Friendly, professional, very helpful and very thoughtful/preemptive. I’m not sure if all customer service is that good in Punta Arenas, but I was really impressed at how lovely they were. I missed breakfast - my fault with mixing up the times - but it sounded good from the menu, and if it was as good as the lunch and evening meal was in the restaurant then it would have been fantastic! The staff in the restaurant were very good and the food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten! EVER!

Not really ‘didn’t like’ but things to be aware of, depending on what you want from a hotel: no tv in the room (not the one I was in, it didn’t bother me but it may bother some people); no air conditioning - didn’t need it but it may bother some.
