Alex and Sophia, the hotel's staff, were the epitome of hospitality. Their genuine concern for our well-being and their willingness to go the extra mile to assist with any questions or needs was truly commendable. Their local recommendations, from dining options to nearby attractions, were invaluable and added a personal touch to our stay. The hotel's location was ideal, with the beach just a stone's throw away. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the fresh sea breeze was a wonderful way to start each day. The proximity to the beach allowed for easy and convenient access to sun, sea, and sand, making our holiday all the more enjoyable. In conclusion, our stay at Hotel Kamelo in Vari was a delight, thanks in no small part to Alex and Sophia's exceptional service. With comfortable accommodations, a serene atmosphere, and a prime location by the beach, this hotel exceeded our expectations. We left with a sense of gratitude and the hope of returning for another unforgettable stay in the future.

Amazing people and amazing beachfront hotel. Literally beachfront and from our knowledge the single truly hotel on the beach from Syros. We felt so welcomed and we are very grateful we were so inspired to book at Kamelo hotel 12 nights in total, half of our vacation in Syros. The beds are so very comfortable that we slept so well. In general we felt as home from the very first minute. Gorgeous room with such a wonderful beach and sea view from the balcony. Sophia is extraordinary, such a radiant, luminous lady, always with a huge, sincere smile on her face. She runs so elegantly this wonderful hotel. She told us the story of the hotel that was started by her grandfather. It is a business of 3 generations in her family. Fascinating story and fabulous people. We saw Sophia 's father and uncle dancing with so much passion on a live music evening. The Bolas restaurant of the hotel serve amazing food and the prices are very affordable. The hotel is right on a lovely beach into a charming bay with shallow waters, perfect for families with children. The beds are very comfortable. We slept so well. The bus stop is just 150 m from the hotel Kamelo. The buses come regularly and go to Ermoupolis in 20 minutes.

If you want to get out of town, Hotel Kamelo is second to none! The beautiful sandy beach is literally out the door, and the water is calm and clear. But that aside, it’s the people who sold it for me. They were kind, generous, friendly, accommodating, and when I had to leave at 03:15 to catch a ferry, not only did they book it, they were up to wait with me to make sure I made it. I can’t say enough good things about these lovely people. And I loved the art.

This is not a con for the property, but I traveled by public bus mostly, and they’re somewhat limited on the island, as a whole. It did not hinder me, just something to be aware of.

The staff were awesome! The location best in Greece! Comfortable bed! Great view! Loved the beach and swimming in the sea! Better than Santorini, you must stay here! Great for families and couples, I as a couple we loved seeing the kids happy and playing, no cell phones very refreshing.

It is difficult to describe the feelings that continue to operate when you have already left this Hotel, this Island, ..this Country.. Greece is beautiful country and must be explored.. so much.. and , yes- make a list, wherever you go and how long.. But! Leave lots of time to reload your batteries in this Amazing little Haven on Earth ..Hotel Kamelo. The Hotel Kamelo - have two stars, if you see it on the web.. but if you have been and seen there yourself.. there not enough “Stars “ to be given - .. You have your Moon, Sun and. Paradise… :) ….There is a moment to escape from the world as we currently know it.. Hotel Kamelo.. You need to go there in late September or early October to get it what it right about..( Indeed, it is a wonderful place to spend the summer with children splashing into the sea) ..just- if you need a little bit peace with yourself or quiet romantic time with your love one- its better to aim September.. AND!:) There are Sofia and Alex. who run the hotel.. a softest , professional touch.. you would ask..the food .. the towels on your bed shaped as swans (and its not your honemoon;).. ..Mm whats not to like….:) Heaven:) by the way the cleaning ladies are the stuff fathers wish their sons and daughters would marry . everything is left with that immpecable feel of freshness and newness every wonderfull new morning.. and you have;nt even had breakfast yet ...

I loved everything in the hotel. the staff is amazing, very attentive. the best experience in Greece so far. it's right on the beach. The beach was amazing, clean, sandy, water was the cleanest. the hotel has a restaurant down, where the food is delicious and affordable. the lady from reception was very very nice, she made sure we were comfortable in every situation. The best part was that, after checkout, we needed to leave by ferry but the ferry was at night. we decided to stay on the beach, and the lady gave us a whole new spare room, to wash up and get ready for our departure (we didn't expect that coming), without any price added. we were very happy and delighted with that gesture. thank you <3 The place is full of locals, not a lot of tourists, and not too crowdy and noisy. The place is just perfect for a small peaceful vacation. Loved it. the accommodation is according to price, but we had quite a big room for 4 people. if you are looking for peace just go there, it's affordable and comfortable.

the water from the sink was salty and they had a lot of mosquitoes. but I guess it's not their fault.

Wow. What can I say. I felt so welcomed here. It is a great place to stay away from the crowds and hustle of the main town (ermoulopli) can i say that I felt so comfortable from the first greeting. Sofia was AMAZING. she was very knowledgeable about the island, told me the best spots to check out with the time I had and took me through all the details of the room and facilities. I am gluten free (coeliac) and lactose intolerant, and Sofia made sure that the staff knew when I ordered that everything needed to be cleaned and ok for me. I was truly shocked (in a good way) by the care they took with everything. As for the room. It was comfortable, the balcony was great, a little area to hang wet swimmers and had a fridge to keep water cool. There was also a kettle which I made a tea from. The beds were comfy and literally had too many towels for one person, but very well accommodated. There is parking onsite, I highly recommend booking a car or atv to get around the island. It was super quick to get to from main town/port. I can't stress enough how amazing everyone was. If you're lucky you will catch a live traditional greek gig. Very very lovely. Sofia and the team will take care of you.

I literally loved everything

The staff were very friendly, the location was nice, the room was Ok, the view from the room was very nice too, and I liked the balcony even if it was small, also the food in the restaurant was very good.

For breakfast having a better coffee machine would be better, so one could make other types of coffees with the same machine, that would be a great plus! Also, in the shower there was no place to put our toiletries, like a small shelf or something would be nice, so that we don't put the shampoo on the floor or so.

We liked the restaurant , the breakfast, the beach side area, the staff, and the location was very nice.

The property was beautiful but the rooms could have been a bit better and when we would shut the doors it would slam really loud.
