Very comfortable, good spa, easy location and parking.

Our only negative experience was regarding wine at dinner. No sommelier despite very expensive wine on the list. We ordered a bottle of Vosne Romanee priced at overnight€200 which didn’t taste quite right. We were fobbed off, told it needed to breathe. The glasses were too small for the wine and over filled. The wine improved slightly but was not right and we should have insisted on returning it, so our fault. On receiving the bill after dinner we actually found we had been given a different wine to that ordered which cost in the region of €370. This made the situation even worse! I believe if there had been a sommelier or maitre d on duty this could’ve been corrected.

Good spa available to hotel residents. Reasonable sized room - we chose one with a hot tub on our balcony and it didn't disappoint! Restaurant excellent - both evening meal and breakfast. Sommelier was most informative.

Despite booking the restaurant in advance, on checking in the staff initially told us they didn't have our booking. Having established they did, we arrived later for our meal, only to be told there was no room in the restaurant. We weren't the only people in this situation. We chose to have a drink in the bar while waiting for a table- others ate their restaurant meal in the bar.

Very well-located hotel where you can easily reach all the famous villages from here. Room and bathroom are very clean and comfortable. And it's also more charming that the regular chain hotels you find nearby,

It's not as atmospheric as the chateau or B&B you can find nearby (e.g. Olivier Leflaive's hotel is a bit more charming and interesting). The wine at the restaurant/bar is very expensive and medicore (which is surprising for a hotel which is opened and owed by the Monegard family, I would imagine they can at least serve by the glass some of their more regular wines).

Very attentive staff and they looked after my wife who is coeliac. Very professional but very friendly. From the reception the room and the restaurant you could not ask for more. We rate this hotel first class and would highly recommend if you want a peaceful clean comfortable and extremely helpful pleasant staff. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

We didn’t think anything could be better

The location, the atmosphere as well as attitude of staff and their kind approach is the main reason.

We have been staying at Le Richebourg many times in the past 8 years. (11th times was yesterday) It’s on our way from Italy to the UK but the main reason we’ve chosen to stay there was the welcoming attitude and ambiance. I recommend this place to anyone whose after a happy stay, good meals and surely the best wines.

Everything was good about this hotel, its quality, its situation (not that far from the motorway but in a quiet location, right next to vineyards) but especially its friendly and helpful staff. The spa is excellent. Its restaurant was full the night I stayed, but right next door is a good restaurant called La Toute Petite Auberge. They kindly reserved a place for me there at my request.

They have just renovated the 1st floor into suites with terrace including an outdoor jacuzzi. Maybe this was just a one off but mine was full of flies and the sides of the jacuzzi didn’t seem to have been cleaned. It’s possibly because they are brand new, I don’t know. I didn’t therefore enjoy my dip. The next morning when informed the reception said the housekeeping would definitely look into this.

Beautiful, spacious room with very comfortable bed. Great spa facilities and a lovely garden. There was a selection of zink sculptures on display in the hotel and outside in the garden, which was lovely to see. The coffee and tea facilities in the room was great. In fact the selection of tea was so good that made checking the website for ordering the tea from UK. We had to leave at 8 AM to continue our journey back home, but felt well rested and are considering coming back again.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel, was because of the good review for their restaurant. Unfortunately, when we arrived the restaurants was fully booked, but the hotel offers room service and we ordered some of their selection of local cheeses and ham, which was gorgeous. They were garnished with lovely pickled onion and other herbs. Next time we visit, we will book the restaurant in advance.

The room was fabulous. A really good size and nicely decorated and kept well with a great decking/balcony with personal hot tub , we stayed en route to the alps and would definitely consider staying again in future we didn’t use the spa ( lack of time choosing to walk instead) the restaurant was lovely too

Nothing at all to dislike everything was perfect

The spa facilities and garden were lovely.

Outlook was onto road/ car park. Breakfast for price was a bit lacking (just continental) there was no offer of eggs, nice coffee or hot options. Although it did like some people may have had something… as we noticed different bowls not on display at buffet, we had no table waiter whilst there so hard to know if there was an option. Our spa session was also full of noisy splashy children so not as relaxing as expected. Perhaps adult only slots could be offered.

The staff had gone the extra mile to facilitate our family of four (2 year old and baby) and a dog. There were little gifts for each, a baby bath, cot and baby soaps as well as a dog bed, bowls, poo bags and treats. We were really impressed with the consideration and accommodation of our needs.
