It was a log cottage in the forest. You are surrounded by trees and the river outside the window. The facilities were very modern and had everything we need for our stay. It was very peaceful and we had a great time there as a family.

As mentioned by others, the shower room was separate from the house but it was only a 20m - 30m walk. The shower room itself was very clean and had separate wet and dry areas. Maybe have a selection of pillows, those provided were very low.

Hidden away on the riverside offering a fabulous view below of the river Iya through a huge window. Early swim in the river - close enough to the vine bridge and the fabulous Kazurabashi Hotel onsen that is definitely a fantastic experience (easy to drive up and get day spa access)

Perhaps needed a nicer area to eat outside - but loved the property and would definitely return.

the environment is superb. you can sleep with the sound of a river if you want. but it also entails insects. I would highly recommend this place if you don't mind them

Lack of kitchen utensils and it would have been better if the showers were inside the cabin instead of outside.

Love it. We can see the Yoshino river from the living room and bedroom. Big and clean place. Fully kitchen equipments.

Wonderful host, beautiful setting, exactly as expected and wanted, highly recommend.

Beautiful location, with amazing view. There’s a way down so you can swim in te river, though it’s very steep and not well maintained (which I can imagine is quit hard to maintain). The house is really big and the living room and bedrooms were nice and clean. There are two bathrooms, but be aware that the shower is outside (which was clean but there can be a lot of bugs inside). We didn’t sit outside because of all the bugs, but there’s a nice barbecue place to sit outside!

The floor of the kitchen and bathroom was dirty and there was a really strange smell coming from the kitchen sink. The futon beds we’re also not covered in sheets and really thin, so you should bring your own sheets!

The design of the cabin. There was plenty of bedding. The sofa was comfortable and the view down the river was lovely. Cooking was easy. Two toilets. Shower in a separate building near the cabin.

It was quite expensive for the 4 of us. The fact that we texted our early arrival but still waited over two hours. Our host arrived well after the stated check in time. The kerosene heater was smelly.
