This hotel was amazing. The rooms were big and very clean. The hotel was well laid out with lots of pool space for everyone. The beach was beautiful and clean. The staff were all lovely and very friendly, particularly Eve who worked in the restaurants and Pu in the beach bar. The food was delicious at each of the restaurants. I have an anaphylactic nut allergy and they took it very seriously which I appreciated. I also think the hotel was great value for money. There is a duo who do acoustic music nightly at the beach bar and they are fantastic. It was lovely to watch the sunset each night while listening to the music

The only issue we had with our stay was a wedding was on for 3 days while we were there. Not normally an issue, but the wedding booked out pools and restaurants which meant other guests couldn’t use the functions which is a little annoying as we are also paying guests. They also played very loud music which could be heard throughout the hotel and took away a little bit of the relaxing vacation vibes. Other then that though this hotel was perfect, and I’d highly recommend

Great resort with excellent facilities.

Was treated like a criminal upon checkin because there was an issue with my bank or so the staff alleged. The staff did not show any empathy or compassion, simply demanding immediate payment. They acted very unprofessionally and without any remorse. After waiting for over an hour it was determined the issue was with Marriott's bank not mine. Not a very pleasant experience to be treated like a criminal and no apology was forthcoming. It was really the very forceful attitude shown by staff that was the issue, trying to blame me when it was all their problem.

This Resort epitomises luxury accommodation. We expected high standards for this price, and we were amazed at the overall experience. The room was huge, well equipped with the most amazing bathroom suite. The large balcony with lounge furniture overlooked one of the many canal style pools that weave around the resort. Leisure facilities were outstanding, both poolside and beachside. Breakfast buffet was quite literally the best breakfast we have ever had in our lives. We could not genuinely think of one breakfast item that was not available at the buffet. It was an experience in it's self. We needed support when we needed to access medical facilities and the staff were wonderful in helping us and making the whole experience as stress free as possible.

The hidden costs charged by the hotel on Booking.com. The price advertised DOES NOT include resort fees and VAT which added £54 to the headline price for us over 2 days. This is the only hotel in 7 weeks of touring Thailand where this has happened. Why not just include it in an increased headline cost for clarity? Similarly, you can get a 10% discount for being a Marriott loyalty member at all resort restaurants, but a 10% service charge is added to all orders plus VAT taxes. Again, the price you see on the menu is not the price you pay.

Everything - pretty much!! We had the best time here with our family. The breakfast is sensational - choices for everyone. The pool has so much to keep kids entertained with plenty of room for adults to avoid kids if they wish. So many options to eat and drink plus a few awesome restaurants just down the beach to the left. Art at the Sala bar went above and beyond for us - the cocktails were delish (but expensive to be honest). 15 min to the main drag in Khao Lak and concierge very helpful in getting drivers to take us

Loved it all.

Amazing resort with many activities! The resort is huge with multiple different areas for families with kids as well as for adults only. The service in general was very good, all the employees were extremely nice and helpful. Different activities were arranged daily from yoga to different excursions. The room was nice and quiet. The resort area and pools were also clean. Perfect for adults that doesn’t want to be around families with small children all the time but wants to enjoy the amenities of huge, versatile resort, as some of the pools and on side of the beach was adults only (12+ years).

The restaurants in the resort area were quite expensive and the service wasn’t always at the same level as elsewhere in the resort. For example, we visited the Thai restaurant Ta-Krai three times during our stay, and the service wasn’t very good. They got our orders wrong multiple times and waiting times were long. Two times out of three we ended up eating at different times as they brought wrong foods out. Once we didn’t even bother to correct the order as it had already taken an hour to even get the food. We noticed that the people around us had same problems.

You have to do something about the birds flying around in the breakfast area, hoping and picking around the food. It´s not healthy. Maybe have the doors shut and get rid of all birds before you puts the food on the counters. It´s definitlely annoying. It´s a bit disturbing with crying children in the adult breakfast area. The music is to loud in the breakfast area

You have a rule that it´s not allowed to reserve sunbeds in the morning. We saw lots of people that reserved sunbeds before having breakfast and showing up hours later. There is no point in having rules when they are not followed

Room is great. we had the cheapest one and it was still spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff is lovely and helpful.

Beach and main pool area are ugly and run down. the pool is not an infinitely pool like described. beach is filthy, and the bar area feels cheap and un inviting. not many chairs around the main area of the pool and the grass is synthetic.

Everything was great! However we would like more dedicated areas for ADULTS only - especially at breakfast...

Small children were running wild at breakfast - would prefer a more quiet section for adults over 16 years of age.

A luxurious, spacious, and indulgent hotel with a vast pool surrounding all the rooms. The wide beach is divided into family and adult sections. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available. Enjoy a rich and indulgent breakfast. The rooms are spacious and elegantly designed, making it a highly recommended choice!

The rooms have a musty smell. It’s important to mention the extremely attentive and caring staff who accommodated our request for different rooms until we were satisfied. The property features 4-5 highly specialized but quite expensive restaurants. Nearby, local restaurants offer reasonably priced Thai dishes

JW Marriott was beautiful. Every detail attended to, the decor was lovely and it was very comfortable. The pool was gorgeous and beach location superb - the beach was so lovely to swim in, with warm turquoise water and white sand.

The on-site restaurants were extremely over priced and food not very good quality compared with alternatives outside the resort. We ended up having meals at Pam’s up the road which was fresh, delicious, cheap, and had a free shuttle to/from the resort.
