Excellent location; nice & secluded. Had been on my to-do list for many years, glad to have this covered. My immediate reaction at check-in was that I'll visit this property again-and-again, but by the time I was checking-out, I would say I wasn't so sure about that. Read on for details. The property is absolutely fantastic, a ton of thought has gone into planning the entire resort. Few cottages, nicely spread apart, great set of activities that keep the kids busy, good spa (as usual), fair spread of food morning noon & night Great views & a Fantastic room

The staff doesnt answer intercom - happened twice during the short stay. Incredibly frustrating Buggy wait times are a bit much, but this is still understandable. Lastly, I requested for an hour's extension to my check-out (due to a spa appointment) which was turned down. The morning trek turned out to be one big condescending monologue versus a peaceful trek in the hills

The location and the views from the property are just amazing. The place itself feels like nestled in a forest on the hills. We did not go out of the property for the two days that we stayed there. The staff is wonderful and the food is great too. A very sumptuous breakfast and the dinner at The Grill was a wonderful experience too. The rooms are quite spread apart over the property and it requires you to call a buggy service every time you have to move within the property since the terrain is not very walking friendly with lots of steep up and down slopes in. But the buggy service is very quick and we received one every time within 10 mins of requesting it.

Fantastic location, beautiful views.

The concept of spending time in the forest was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the food, and the restaurant staff were amazing. The rooms were spacious and with very nice views. The pool facility was also very nice.

The reception and check-in were not the best. Since there was no formal check-in we had to wait long in the lobby, after a long road trip this wait can feel longer than it is and this could have been handled better. I wish the games room and the pool remained open for longer hours.

The breakfast was show stopper. Such amazing variety! Options they have cater to all ages. And the staff is super helpful when taking care of your needs. If you need packed breakfast, that's arranged too. Their Jalebi's were out of the world.

Everything was good. I did raise the slippery moss part outside our room, in rainy season it can be dangerous with eldery around, who can slip and hurt themselves.

The cool and serene atmosphere; a place far away from the noise and pollution of cities, eco-friendly buildings, and the surrounding rainforests are plus points of Taj Madikeri.

The dinner at ferntree was belo par. However, the breakfast was generous and scrumptious. There were lot of activities like hiking, kayaking and zipline for those who love adventure.

We loved everything right from the food, activities, stay, hospitality and the views. We stayed for 5 nights. It's the best property in Kodagu (Coorg). Everyone should experience it atleast once! 0.Check in: The check-in was really smooth, the staff was so courteous and smiling all the time. Vinay gave us a short orientation of the property, the check in was done in the quickest time possible. The property itself is amazing. 180 acres and only 30 acres is built up, rest all nature : )The view from the lobby is amazing! 1.Room decoration: We had requested them to decorate the room for our honeymoon, & they obliged. It was really good! 2.Food: They have plenty of options. Food was amazing. We personally loved the jeera rice, dal tadka, Verdure Pizza among the various options at the Ferntree (Had our most of the meals there) Also, loved grills restaurant (With the candle light dinner- they will arrange it for you) Breakfast: It's at Ferntree and had standard amazing options for all. I personally loved the pancakes, juices and the samosas! Service: The staff was amazing! Laxita, Bhawna, Janaki & Rajat were amazing in their services. Also, shout out to Nadeem, Akshay and Nikhil! 3.Activities: For us the activities at the property were the highlight. Managed by Muddy Boots, we tried the following: Zipline,Kayaking,paintball & Mountain biking - This activity takes you out of the property (Off road as well) My wife absolutely loved it. Ranjit & Amal were superb in guiding us throughout the activities. We did the Rainforest walk & Nishani trek. Pradhan and Nitin were our guides respectively and both were amazing! Indoor activities were also great (They have an Xbox). Spa: Jiva spa was also amazing (We did a couples spa). Buggy Services: Special shout-out to Yakshit, he was very sweet whenever we met him! Tribal dance (Saturdays), Museum all very good! Checkout very smooth In a nutshell, amazing would be an understatement of the time we spent...

Couldn't connect with WiFi despite entering proper details . Please check out shelf in the storage cupboard of the cottage(205) just behind the cot . It's too low.. when we bend to pick up things our heads get hit to the shelf . Each of us got hit .it's impractical

The essence of the TAJ experience is always the staff. The properties are great, sure, but the real value comes from each one of the staff who usually go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. We visited Taj Madikeri for our wedding anniversary with our 5 year old twins, and all of us had a very relaxing and fun vacation. Wumui, Rounak, Ashray, Praveen, Charan & Atharv(chef) were amazing at the ferntree, nellaki and grill restaurants. There were others too, but we specifically had wonderful service when they were around. Sonu & his team were exceptional for our room service. Anant & team made the day of our anniversary special with cakes, pastries and small gestures here n there. The staff at the activity center were enthusiastic. Special call out to Nitin who had a wealth of information to share during our rainforest hike.

Though Ayam was a good masseuse, the overall experience at the spa was not the best. We didnt get a typical welcome drink or post massage beverage. Ours was the final appointment of the day (630 to 8pm). But since it went on until ~830, the staff were in a rush to shoo us away. The lights were bright and the ambient music was a bit loud, all of this could have been corrected if the team could've taken some feedback but they didn't seem open to it.

Superb location , views and activities. Food was exceptional . Staff - right from reception, drivers , housekeeping , restaurant, F&B, cleaners, activity center staff - everyone was exceptional and awesome ! Great experience all through
