Beautiful setting and the staff were super friendly especially Mika. He gave us a great experience and was super helpful. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels given. I was happy with this service

No Aircon. It is super hot in Géres at this time of year. It was very uncomfortable in the room without Aircon. I am grateful we were offered an upgrade on our room with a balcony otherwise I don't think we would have enjoyed our stay as much as we did. I found the breakfast area not to be as clean as I would have hoped. The breakfast was fine, I think abit more could be done to improve the experience of the breakfasts. Nations Géres is in a prime location that is central to everything with the most spectacular views. I feel with a few improvements it could certainly be the best bed and breakfast in Géres. The service is certainly there, just a few upgrades could be done to improve the experience of the guests.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice people, were always ready to lend a hand if necessary. I totally love them. :) They clean the rooms daily, which is very nice. I got amazing hiking tips from them, and all the information I needed for my stay there. Good restaurant recommendations, they called a taxi for me (a local family business by the way, great reliable people as well, thank you for the rides), and although I arrived early, I was able to leave my things at the B&B before check-in. I don't think there's anything they could do better. :)

The rooms aren't very well isolated, so even with closed window shutters, it can get cold at night. There are available blankets, but maybe they can be washed more often or left outside to get some air, because the humidity makes them have an unpleasant scent. All in all, one can see the facilities aren't new anymore. For example I have no idea how my bathroom sink was still hanging on, with so many cracks. But the staff try their best to maintain the facilities clean and functional, a big thumbs up for that. Maybe they already have a renovation planned, I don't know.

The location is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the heart of Gerês with beautiful mountain views all around. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. The terrace area was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local options. Overall, a peaceful and memorable stay!

Nothing major—everything was great! If I had to mention something, maybe the Wi-Fi signal could be a bit stronger in the rooms, but it wasn’t a big issue.

staff was great, one staff member showed me how to put the car in reverse, you push down the shifter before putting it into reverse.

the shared kitchen isn't open 24x7. I get up early to hike, the free breakfast is at like 830 and i wanted to make eggs at 730 but the kitchen was locked. It is in the same room as the bar which isn't secured, so i understand why the whole thing was locked, but i booked based on a shared kitchen. also, they weren't current on where the 2024 fires were (e.g., which hiking trails were closed).

They are so friendly we reatch them before two day to come one day earlier and they manage it really good and the location is more than what u need. I think it is the best there. The mountain just in front of u all the time. U can there feel really calm and free to do what u want especialy with u're food if u want to cook or need anything to cook. And the breakfast not expensive and yammy.

They try to keep it old this is there stijl and i looooved it but the fisility it self alittle bit too old they can with a little bit make it match way beter.like the planket the water ..extra.

The staff were so kind and welcoming and gave us recommendations for places for dinner and where to watch the sunset. Breakfast was delicious and they also allow you to make sandwiches to take for a picnic lunch. The location was perfect, very quiet but so near to the town and the start of lots of walking trails.

The room was great for the price and location, but I rated this 9 rather than 10 because the double bed was a small double, and the mattress was not brilliant. It's fine as this is a budget place and everything else was wonderful.

This place is really a pleasant place to stay in Geres. The staff are wonderful and helpful, the breakfast is good value and the view!!!!Amazing. We did get one of the terrace rooms and pretty much had it to ourselves-it's big- you could hold a dance up there! The rooms are not big, but with the terrace, huge. There is alot of space in the facility to gather outside one's room-several lounges and the big dining area. The shared kitchen worked well for us as all the restaurants are down in the village and after walking all day, it was pleasant to fix something there. If you need something, just ask. Very nice people.

The fitted sheets didn't stay on the bed, but I think they are taking care of this. Otherwise, it was a great stay

The location is ideal, you get stunning mountain views from all terraces and the breakfast room. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Relaxed hostel atmosphere. Will definately come back!

We rented a terrace room and found out that the terrace was shared. Luckely the other guests didn't use the terrace much, so we had moderate privacy. There are no "Do not disturb" signs to put at the door, so staff will enter the room and do their work while you are not there. Be sure to keep your valuables safe. The rooms and toilets need an update.

I loved this place! We had such an amazing stay here! We had a room with on suite and view and it was just so homey and comfortable! The view was amazing waking up to the mountains everyday! The breakfast bar/shared kitchen, common area had panoramic mountain views! Such a lovely place in the mountains with an old hotel feel! 😁

It is an old place, but we felt that was part of the charm!

Good value accommodation in the heart of Vila do Geres, the main town in the national park. Perfect location for exploring the amazing countryside. The staff were extremely friendly and having a small shared kitchen and fridge was perfect for preparing breakfast etc. There was also a bar which served drinks and burgers which was perfect on our first night, meaning we didn't have to wander in to town. Free parking.

The room was a little bit dated but this was not a problem for us.
