Everything! My request for a view of the city was met and we could see the river boats, cathedral and 2 beautiful churches from our window (Room 121). The location just opposite the pedestrian bridge to town was superb and the availability of free parking in the little road along the river was a real bonus. We did make the mistake of trying to check in to the other Ibis on the corner of the vehicle bridge but were directed further down the river to IBIS budget. Budget it may be in name but in terms of quality and value for money, it did not seem like a budget hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of continental breakfast items and drinks. Great value and set us up for the day. There seems to be a Leclerc behind the hotel for anyone who prefers breakfast on the go. Restaurants are available on the other side of the pedestrian bridge (we had less choice as it was Sunday, but we're used to that living in France). If you're not mobility challenged as my OH is, a walk up to the old town and square gives you a wider choice of eateries. The Cathedral is magnificent and a must see. We need to re visit to see more. We had our electric scooters with us. Great for down the lovely river with all its boats but not for the hilly old town . Finally, thanks and well done to the team at this great hotel Ibis. We will definitely be back and have already recommended you as the place to stay in beautiful Auxerre!

Nothing. But as a word of warning re parking (we assume receptionist didn't know this). We parked in the free car park and checked it was free but then on returning for our electric scooters, we were told by a lady who was setting up barriers in part of the car park, that if we didn't move our car to a different space, our car would be towed away the next morning (Monday) at 8am. Luckily we were able to move our car before that happened. Still not sure what the barriers were for as by lunchtime on the Monday as we left, there was no evidence of an event on the car park. Maybe a one off??

The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Free parking on the street directly outside the hotel. Very close to the town and its amenities.

The room was small. The shower was in the room adjacent to the bed, not in a separate room. The wash basin, also in the room, did not have a plug, so a lot of water was wasted. Only 1 skimpy, barely bath-size towel per person was provided, and no hand towel. The room got very hot during the night, even though the aircon was switched off. Noise from surrounding rooms due to thin walls.

We were too tired to go out for dinner, so we opted for the frozen pizza (sorry - did I say we were tired?) - and OMG - La Reine certainly was! Breakfast was also great. I got a big kick out of the fitness centre in the stairway - brilliant. And the location was perfect! We walked about 4 blocks from the train station, and later about the same distance to our destination at the Marina. It could not have worked out better for us. And the staff was charming and helpful and bilingual (at least).

View from breakfast room was excellent and there was a sensation of spaciousness throughout the hotel which we weren't expecting. Staff friendly and efficient in a low-key way.

Previous reviews had mentioned excellent parking - unfortunately the forecourt slots were full and other parking is basically on the roads not in a specific car park - so you could be unlucky and have to walk a bit - on the plus side it seemed to all be free of charge (confirmed by reception).

The hotel is well situated close to the riverbank and near a pedestrian bridge from where you can easily cross over to tour the historic old town. Parking is free and plentiful outside the hotel or in a nearby car park. The room was simple but clean and the staff helpful. There is a pub, some restaurants and a large supermarket in walking distance very close by.

Nothing to dislike, the hotel provides decent accommodation and represents very good value considering the location.

great location. as this is a budget hotel, it was as expected for what you pay for. room was basic, with a window, aircon working, clean functional bathroom; didn´t need more than that. plenty of free parking space opposite (and to the left of) the hotel. breakfast was also basic, but sufficient.

The hotel is located next to the river and close to the historical center of the city. the rooms are small but comfortable and clean

There is only one towel per person in the room. An additional towel and hairdryer must be requested at the reception. We had two rooms. In one everything was fine. And in the second room and in the corridor there were a lot of white midges

Excellent location, right across the river from the old town, with a little park. Very little parking at the hotel but easy enough on a little parking area 100 metres away.

The online check-in mails did not work but the Reception lady was very helpful. Good location just on the opposite side of the river to all the sights and the historical center. They are only a short walk away. Room was tidy and clean.

This hotel is just across the bridge, and so a short walk, from Old Town. As the name suggests it is a budget hotel but it is very clean and comfortable. There are no room amenities beside air con & TV but the bed is comfy and the bathroom good. Breakfast is simple and consisted of bread, pastries, fruit, coffee/tea/juice etc. all of which were excellent. It is easy walking distance from the station. For the price it’s great value!
