Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Leonardo in Voelklingen. The value for the money is outstanding, because of the top notch cleanliness of the rooms, the refreshing AC system, the utmost attention of the staff to our special requests, the beautiful lobby offering a comfortable lounge area with infused water and candies, the tasty breakfast buffet with two coffee machines and an eclectic selection of original foods. The breakfast room had windows from top to bottom, thereby offering great views of the surrounding trees. The breakfast tables got cleaned quickly after the guests finished. The only small minus is the poor location, far away from shopping or pedestrian areas.

Modern comfortable hotel - our room was excellent with a lovely bathroom and really comfortable bed! Plenty of free parking around the hotel. We sat on the terrace and had a light meal and drinks (as the restaurant was closed) which was very pleasant.

On the day we were there, breakfast seemed a bit disorganised - there seemed to be no staff around, and items were not being replenished (we waited 20 mins for scrambled eggs but gave up in the end).

Good hotel, friendly staff, bowl and bed in the room for the dog, enough possibilities to walk the dog.

When I booked it said the restaurant was open (Sunday evening). It was not, I could have some food in the bar, but the choice was very limited. Not so good as there are no restaurants nearby. Also a water kettle would have been an asset in the room, hot water for a cup of tea from a coffee machine always tastes of coffee.

Staff was not welcoming and forgot to smile There was a big issue about water which was not meant to be drunk from the tap. There was a notice about this but staff should have made this clear to all customers. As a way of addressing this, a bottle of water was left in the room. When I asked for another bottle, I was told I would get another bottle tomorrow morning or I had to pay for it. I thought this was atrocious customer service!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The breakfast was delicious with great coffee and plenty of cheese and dessert options. The location was convenient, and the staff were super friendly. Plus, the interior elevator was really nice, and the large free parking was a bonus. Also, having a restaurant in the evening made dining easy and enjoyable.

Overall, my stay was great, but there was one downside: I could hear the water running from the room next door, which was a bit distracting.

Very nice place, friendly staff, the room was nicely decorated, clean and normal size ( they offered 1 bottle of water for free), 1 big bed, free parking, large bathroom, the kitchen was open till 22, so we had dinner and drinks when we got there. ( the size of the dishes are huge and the food is very good). The check out is at 12. Free WiFi.

Very modern and clean hotel, with efficient and polite staff. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The town of Voelklingen is unremarkable so we only stayed here because we were due to visit the nearby Voelklingen Iron Works (highly recommended UNESCO world heritage site). This hotel is excellent value for money.

We regularly use this hotel as it is located conveniently on our travel route. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. Bed, pillows and shower all meet our expectations. the breakfast buffet offers a variety of food and the coffee is good. A big bonus for us is the free carpark. Value for money is excellent.

Restaurant closed a couple of evenings due to sickness of staff. Also the bar ran out of beer on the Tuesday evening! At €6 a glass I’d of thought someone would be keeping an eye on stock levels as it makes them a lot of money.

This hotel chain is one of our favourites while visiting Germany, this hotel was good and the breakfast very nice. We had free parking therefore that's a huge advantage while enjoying a road trip.

The only down side was the bathroom, in our room it wasn't possible to close the door all the way and you had a small gap between the bedroom and the bathroom, we found some hairs in the floor, the faucet was broken and you had to handle it careful. They are minor details but it was the first time after staying in several hotels from the same chain.
