I stumbled upon Gamodh Citadel Resort during my recent trip to Anuradhapura, and I'm so glad I did! This place is truly fantastic. Its location is ideal, being within easy reach of all the major religious sites in the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless and comfortable, providing a relaxing haven after a day of exploring. The breakfast options were a delightful touch, with both Eastern and English selections to cater to various tastes. I highly recommend Gamodh Citadel Resort to anyone visiting Anuradhapura. It's an excellent choice for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Staff were so helpful and considerate ,both the manager and the guy who served us at restaurant. They even managed to prepare us breakfast the days that we had to leave before breakfast time. Tours they offer also have the best price. Swimming pool was very beautiful and large. Breakfast is great especially oat pancakes with coconut filling

Unfortunately, Only 2 of the staffs could speak English and when they weren’t present like at late night, communication with others was impossible.

Staff were very friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the start. The welcome drink and afternoon tea were absolutely delicious. Rooms are large, air-conditioned, and spotless. Overall, a great experience and very nice people to deal with.

The only area for improvement would be the limited Wi-Fi, especially since mobile signal strength in the area is weak.

Nice room on the first floor with a very big balcony. Great garden area and large pool, which was very welcome after visiting the town and cultural attractions. There was some building work going on in rooms adjacent to the pool area but this was not too noisy. Friendly helpful staff. Reasonable breakfast. It is quiet with lots of wildlife about.

The hotel is c5km to main attractions and 6km to new town centre. However it is unlikely we would have got such a large room with pool in such a nice setting for the price closer to the city centre.

Clean and comfy hotel in near the Anuradhapura ancient site. We had a wonderful stay in charming Hotel Gamod Citadel . Gently refurbished, preserving the old art deco details and yet with a fresh and up-to-date feel. Very clean and lots of space. Wonderfull breakfast with a choice for every diet. Very kind staff and great value for money. Right in the heart of Anuradhapura Ancient City "

Our stay at Anuradapura was mainly for pilgrimage and part time work on line. It was just 10 min drive to important places like sri maha bodi and Maha seya. The breakfast was prepared according to our request and it staisfies our need.

Bathroom getting wet as the shower area is not covered by a glass partition or simple curtain. The free wifi data offered was not enough even for one day and we were not informed about free top up.

Beautiful hotel in a great location for anyone who wants to experience what Anuradhapura has to offer. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was included with our stay and we opted for the Sri Lankan style breakfast. It was so delicious and we ordered the same for the second day as well. Overall a very positive experience and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to spend time in Anuradhapura.

Fantastic pool cleaned every morning. Great to sit near under the trees in the shade with a cold beer after a hot days safari! All the Staff were great. So accommodating helpful and friendly. A great cook; tasty breakfasts and curry dinners!

Internet was ok but the process to connect was a bit old fashioned.

We had a nice stay at Gamodh Citadel Resort. The room was good and the pool amazing. We also liked the breakfast a lot. Nuwan from the Lobby was very nice and he would help us out on everything. Thank you very much! :)
