Laston House is a beautiful and incredibly well-run Bed and Breakfast, offering a wealth of amenities. We attended a wedding and arrived very late at night due to bad weather on the way. However, we were able to get into the house and our room as arranged in advance (thanks, Abi, for being so understanding), and we felt so comfortable and warm in our gorgeous, huge room. It was so tastefully decorated, with elegant furniture that added luxury and uniqueness to the room - beautiful. The room was extremely well designed, using the beauty and dimensions of this period house to guests' advantage, so lots of beautiful period features. Our bed was HUGE and incredibly comfortable, lovely light flooding into the room through the original sash windows, and when we wanted darkness, the excellent heavy curtains blocked out all of the light. Beautiful bedding - you will not want to get out of bed. All this, plus a modern bathroom, with lovely towels, an excellent shower, perfect temperature water and lovely locally made soap. And when we went to have our breakfast, we got a very warm welcome, and enjoyed the excellent vegetarian options and loved that there was something for everyone. The gardens were stunning too, and we picked up a few brochures about places to visit, which was a thoughtful addition, as we hadn't been to this part of the world before. We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave! The house itself is so beautiful, and I can imagine that the cottages and the house, when hired as a self-catering whole house, is a real treat. Abi and Greg are superb hosts, warm, professional and completely caring for their guests' needs. I highly recommend Laston House for your visit to this beautiful part of Devon, whether it's with a partner, family or kids you will not be disappointed at all.

We pulled into the carpark to see this beautiful Georgian house key to room was available a beautiful staircase lead us to our large room with stunning views tea coffee etc and biscuits bed was comfy ensuite had a bath and shower and was very clean 15 minute walk took us down to Ilfracombe past the harbour they is a pub next door but we chose to walk into Ilfracombe daily the hosts were both lovely breakfast was good a selection if cereal juice and options for a cooked breakfast too would definitely recommend we had a lovely break

My family and I stayed at laston house for 2 nights, our stay was welcoming comfortable and enjoyable. It was very close to all the shops and restaurants and I will be back again, I would highly recommend this accommodation, the breakfast they serve is delicious and plenty of choice. Staying at laston house made our short holiday even more memorable. Ilfracombe is a lovely place and very friendly it's for everyone.

Although I really liked our accommodation the only thing that was missing was shower gel and shampoo, not a big deal tho you just need to take your own which isn't a problem.

Greg the host was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We stayed in the king room and felt like royalty in this beautiful house. Our room was very bright, spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable - and the views from our room were such a treat. The bed, pillows and linens were all great and made our stay really enjoyable. The ensuite bathroom was a little small but functional. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a varied selection of cold and hot (cooked to order) options. The location of this house suited us perfectly and was an easy walk into Ilfracombe to explore the harbour and the town, and for dining out. It is also well situated for making day trips to explore Exmoor National Park and the surrounding countryside. An added bonus for us was the car parking. We would highly recommend staying here.

There was nothing we didn't like but we have a few friendly suggestions that would have made our stay that much better - some hanging hooks in the bathroom for clothes and drying towels; luggage stands to keep suitcases off the floor; and a reading light near the lounging chairs & table.

Good location, couple of minutes from the town, and harbour, very friendly hosts, that take an interest in your daily activities, and recommend places to go and visit. clean room, with a sea view, happy to cater for your needs, we noticed at breakfast, that someone asked for oat milk, was not any bother to provide it, was good to see, would happily stay again.

booking .com, says it came with toiletries, it did not,, had to go and buy them, not really an issue, but did not bring any as it was advertised as complimentary.

Such a beautiful property with fabulous spacious rooms, it made us feel rather special ourselves just by staying there. The owners are lovely and super friendly, offering us a cup of tea on arrival which was really welcome, even though we actually got there ahead of the agreed check in time. The breakfast was really tasty with quality ingredients and the bed was very comfortable so we slept very well. The location of the house was perfect for us as it's a short walk to the town centre yet is set in its own spacious grounds and up and away from any noise, and even has sea views from the rooms.

There was nothing we didn't like apart from that we didn't stay there long enough!

The impressive house was set amongst large established gardens and was very peaceful. It was just a short walk to the harbour. The bedroom was large and quiet. There was a comfy lounge for the guests with games and toys. The breakfast was good with a good choice of cereal, yogurt and cooked food. Greg kindly let me store my luggage until it could be picked up.

The host was so incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humour! Explained everything really well and was super chilled. The decor was fresh and modern and was really well styled and the room was so much more spacious than we were expecting! There was also a cute communal lounge area with sofas, a TV and games for a change of scenery, and a nice big lawn out the back for a chill in the sunshine. The breakfast both mornings was delicious too!

The shower wasn’t great when using it during peak times! The best shower was late evening when it was likely that nobody else was using it. Otherwise the pressure was very low, temperature had a bit of a mind of its own, and the shower head kept flopping forward and actually hit me in the head once

From the moment we arrived it was clear that the hosts, Abby and Greg really wanted us to have a successful visit. I had messaged beforehand as I am a diagnosed Coeliac. On arrival I was told that they had gluten free sausages, baked beans and bread and that everything would be cooked seperately to avoid cross contamination. My full English breakfast was delicious every day and I felt safe to eat. The room was great with a lovely view of the hills and the sea. Bed comfy and the bathroom a fair size. The nice touch was the supply of gluten free biscuits on arrival.

Our only regret was that we hadn't booked to stay longer.

Laston House is a lovely old building in a great location-there is a lot to see and do around it. It has good parking which is easy to access (unlike lots of other places in this area!).The owners are extremely warm and welcoming and were very helpful when we asked for information about the local area. Our room was very pretty and the en-suite shower was great. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and was always served with a smile and friendly chat. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
