We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Horchem. We arrived at this cozy, welcoming oasis in the middle of a sudden and fierce cold front in November, and from the moment we checked in, we felt warm and happy. The staff were friendly and cheerful, our room was warm, clean and inviting, and the restaurant served honest, nourishing meals. We recommend it as the ideal place to enhance your stay in the charming, fairy tale village that is Monschau.

Very hard to find fault, but tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be great, particularly in the low season when the restaurant closes quite early and many of the other cafes and eateries are fully closed for the winter.

Comfortable, cosy, clean and spacious room. Clean and well ventilated bathroom. Great views from the hotel window, and great location in general. Breakfast was fine, dinner fine too but a little more expensive compared to local alternatives. Staff was friendly.

Standing lamp in the room was broken, making half of the room a little dark. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were so soft that they provided little support even if you stacked two on top of eachother. Breakfast buffet refills were a little scarce in the last 30-45 minutes.

This is a great hotel right in the middle of the city. It's a very good location! The hotel also has an outdoor restaurant/bar and below the hotel you can find a bar as well. It has 3 stories, all accessible by stairs. But if you tell them in advanced you can't make it to the third floor that could book you in for a floor below. Breakfast is good too!

First night we got little candies on our pillow. Second/Third night we got earplugs. This makes you ask yourself... why do we get earplugs? Well, Sunday afternoon (18.00) there was a tractor that pulled a small train with 30 young kids playing absurdly loud hard-core music. (I am talking about festival loudness!) That passed the town at 20.00 and at least at 03.30am in the morning... Ridicules! I only have to imagine this town gets this group of idiots a lot and that is why they are handing out these earplugs. They could at least also give you some more candy! ;)

The breakfast was fantastic and the location amazing. This is in the middle of a super cute town that we had a great time exploring. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Our room faced the inner courtyard, and it was quite noisy and bright until pretty late at night. The kitchen goes fairly late, and you could hear all the noise coming off that and from delivery vans or scooters in the inner courtyard.

Would like to say a bĺig thankyou to all the staff at the hotel, nothing too much trouble and everything done with a smile, a special thankyou to Sylvia at the bar for looking after me each night with refreshments and the food from the kitchen was divine. A first time stay that was made very comfortable. Breakfast has enough to keep all tastes happy and location you can't get any better. Parked motorbike in court yard garage which was a great bonus too. Pictures below are outside and the lovely bar downstairs. Thanks again All.👏👏

I really like German "eye for details". Nothing is broken, everything functions well. The room heating is fast and also present in the bathroom, water pressure in the shower is good. The matrass is soft and comfy. And the view from the room with the balcony is just fantastic!

A coffee machine and a bottle opener wouldn't hurt, but I am not sure whether I can expect that from a 3 star hotel :)

The balance between price and quality was exceptional. Our room offered a breathtaking view of the vibrant square by the river, with charming sights of the church and red house. The spacious room and bathroom, complete with a relaxing bath, provided a touch of luxury. Despite the proximity to a nearby waterfall, the well-insulated windows ensured minimal disturbance. Additionally, we had the fortune of being there during a delightful music evening, which we could enjoy from the comfort of our room. The breakfast was delightful and perfectly complemented the overall experience.

During our stay, there was a minor hiccup regarding a dinner reservation due to a miscommunication. It turned out they don't accept reservations for outdoor seating, something we weren't aware of. However, the hardworking staff resolved the situation in a positive manner.

Perfectly nestled in the old town. Nice and airy even on warm days. Very nice breakfast Restaurant serves fresh lovely dinners. Ice cream with amarena cherries to die for. Staff super friendly and very efficient. 👏👏

Had my elderly parents with me and rooms were on the 3rd floor. Not a big problem.

Breakfast: a lot of choices, good for tourists who just wake up Location: in the center of the town, nice location, steet view is nice Room: clean and tide

WIFI: even there is a wifi projector outside the room, the wife signal is very unstable (connected for 2 minutes then disconnected for 30 minutes). However wifi signal in the restaurant is fine. Sound: Not that sound proof. The street noise made from cars or river flow is quite annoying. But the room provide ear plug.

Hotel, located right in the Center of the town. Short distance to all small shops and and to the parking, beautiful view towards the river and the church. Very good breakfast, we also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and we liked it a lot .

The bathroom was not very clean, slow Wi-Fi connection.
