Nikos was present to meet us and there every day, available for help like bookings, directions, transport queries etc. the apartment was spacious and very clean. Bonus was the free KTEL Astiko bus that runs every half hour to town and around town, harbour and bus depot.

Bathroom is very large designed for disabled usage. However it is all open and the shower water splashes all over the bathroom. You need to mop it after use otherwise your partner can't use it. A few more kitchen utensils would have been handy. eg. a long bread knife, a spaghetti strainer, a dish rack for draining dishes.

Xanthi is super hospitable & very responsive, making for a very welcoming stay in a peaceful part of town. Pictures of accommodation are true to reality. A lovely apartment with good modern facilities for longer stays, to include a good quality Bosch washing machine and a clothes drying rack on the balcony. Sliding mosquito nets on the sliding patio doors work well, meaning no insect problems in the apartment. The bathroom mirror lighting is more atmospheric than functional for makeup. I noted a previous reviewer also stated this, so I took a portable mirror for applying makeup at the large dining table which worked well. Apartment cleaning and change of bed sheets and towels were every 4 days. Wi-fi was good throughout our stay. Free on-site car park for guests makes easy accessibility when hiring a car. The lake is approximately 20 minutes walk away, as is Almyros beach. 2 good supermarkets within walking distance. During our stay, there was a free city bus every 30 minutes from the morning to 11pm which we discovered near the end of our stay. We found this to arrive at the bus stops near the apartment on the hour and half past the hour in the morning, however later in the evening to be 10 minutes past and 40 minutes past the hour (presumably delays throughout the day add up). A taxi from the taxi rank near the lake to the apartment was €6.00 (any time of day or night). Highly recommended.

The appartment was modern and clean. The bathroom was great! No complaints. The landlady was very Kind. Good air conditioning and parking space just round the corner for free.

The sofá bed was a bit uncomfortable. This is just a suggestion: I recommend to add a medium size pan and a medium size frying pan of antiadherent material (not stainless steel) and a plate rack to place plates, cutlery, glasses etc to use when you you do the washing up. If one spends a few days and wants to cook, the kitchen needs to have more kitchen ware. A chair in the bedroom to place the suitcase would also be good.

New and modern style spacious apartment. The bed was very comfortable.

It’s situated in the beginning of the city. Definitely won’t recommend for someone without a car. In the property there is a filter coffee not espresso one. The bathroom was very spacious but there is no shower curtains and when you take a shower water gets everywhere. In overall the apartment was very clean except for the floor, there was lots of hair and dust.

We had a wonderful stay at Celine Apartments in Ayios Nikolaos, Crete. From the moment we arrived, Xanthi, the owner, greeted us with a warm welcome. She provided thoughtful touches like fresh fruit, water, and a variety of coffee and tea options, along with delicious homemade cookies baked by her and her daughter. The apartment itself was brand new, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was impressively spacious. It was a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Everything was excellent. The owner is very welcoming. Took care of everything and helped us to settle in. Wish we could stay longer 😃 Great Location. Bit outside of city center but close enough. I'd say that it's an advantage. The suite was spacious and comfortable and felt like home.. Have everything you need in the kitchen. Would definitely come back.

Beautifully designed and thoughtfully considered accommodation. Cleanliness of accommodation is key to me enjoying any holiday and this was spotless. Hostess really friendly and very approachable. Nothing was too much trouble and towels and bedding were changed several times during our stay. Kids were happy with Netflix on the tv! We've been numerous times to Crete as we used to have an apartment near the lake. This apartment was approximately a 10mins walk in a straight direction to the centre (restaurants, shops, beach), which we knew beforehand and were happy with.

We loved everything, we couldn't fault the apartment or Agios Nikolaos!

- there is no cleaning services or at least some periodical towel change - the shower drain wasn’t able to keep up with the shower faucet - the internet a little slow - no detergent for the washing machine

Xanthi our host was absolutely fabulous. She gave an excellent introduction to the property/ room and made us feel extra welcome. Additional special touches (such as a welcome drink, homemade cookies & fridge stocked with necessities) also were a lovely touch. Xanthi ensured that if we had any question or queries to let her know. She was great! The accomodation was very modern with new furniture and appliances. The space is quiet & amongst other local homes. This accomodation is perfect for short and long term stays. You get to avoid the hustle and bustle, which was lovely. Ammenities were provided and a spacious private parking with direct access into the property. Location is central & walking distance to local supermarkets and shops.

Our host was wonderful, she explained everything in the apartment, gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and was very helpful answering our questions. The apartment was very modern, clean, spacious and cool. Beds were very comfortable. About a 15-minute walk to the nearest beach and 20-minute walk to the old town. The apartment has on-site parking which makes travelling very stress free. Definitely recommend this place for couples and families.
