Pleasant staff. Garage space (essential for us) booked as requested. Location great, Room was generally comfortable. Breakfast buffet had a reasonable range of choice and a delightfully cheerful lady welcoming and serving.

Would have been helpful to have an alert about having to drive into the otherwise pedestrian zone to access the hotel and to have had details of how to access the parking garage in advance as it was difficult to park outside even just briefly. Aircon controls in the room defeated 2 adults well used to technology trying to turn down or off)! There was a limited bar (with settees that favoured style over comfort!), staffed (pleasantly) by reception on request. A small lift - glad we only had overnight bags to wrangle! Corridors could do with a little tlc.

Very good location, very good restaurant recommendation from staff, (Chez Jacques, 80 meters away), bathroom facilities very well designed, very comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Helpful and very pleasant staff.

I had reserved parking in my initial message through Booking.com but email wasn’t delivered due to hotel’s anti-spam software, so had no parking on arrival. However, got free parking in Parking Seraucourt, 7 minutes walk, which was fine. No problem parking outside hôtel briefly to pick up our cases. Stayed in room 112, needs an additional plug-in point on the other side of the bed for charging a second mobile phone.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel D’Angleterre. Our room was very comfortable and well-equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Being situated in the town centre allowed us to wander around town and visit the cathedral and restaurants. The garage was helpful and recommend that one books a space before they disappear. We very much look forward to staying at this hotel again on our journeys going south and north of France and highly recommend.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of the main sights of the historic centre where there were lots of bars and restaurants. The gentleman who greeted us could not have been more welcoming or professional. He gave us a map and recommendations for dinner. There was a locked car park, which was a bonus. Everywhere was spotless and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, the biggest selection of breakfast that I have seen almost anywhere; we wanted to eat it all! The breakfast room was lovely and the lady who served us was extremely jolly.

The hotel and staff could not have been more delightful and helpful, the breakfast was excellent as was our room. access road having to be lowered , this was done with help from the hotel. The garage was also great just around the . The location of the hotel was a little difficult especially with the local resident bollards to the access road having to be lowered, they are only 50 mtrs from the hotel I think the hotel could benefit form a more noticeable sign on the front so that one can see it easily on approach. The hotel does have Royal connections which also make it a remarkable stay. Certainly recommend.

The bollards were a little frustrating but not a problem that should put anyone off.

An inviting and characterful hotel with old style charm and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated in the old centre of Bourges, everything is within walking distance. The room was comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean, the air conditioning and wi-fi worked well. The staff are delightful, particularly Christophe and Martina whose genuine warmth and kindness is appreciated. We booked parking in advance but there is also limited parking on the street - both are safe and convenient. Breakfasts are excellent and plentiful, the breakfast room is a pleasant place to dine. Was sorry to leave and hope to return!

The centre of Bourges has been pedestrianised and there is now a one-way system with many bollards blocking many of the direct routes to the hotel. Although the hotel provided instructions and directions it proved, to us at least, to be very difficult to find the right approach and access to the hotel, and to navigate around the bollards and no-entry streets!

Nicely located in the center. Adequate breakfast with friendly staff. The rooms are good size and are well maintained. The bathroom was fine, but includes a bath that doubles as a shower, which is quite a high step down and therefore not easy to get out for everybody.

The hallway could be a bit spruced up with the carpet showing some wear. But very little else to remark.

We reached the hotel in the late afternoon. There is street parking next to the hotel which was thankfully available. I only need to pay for a short period (until 9pm?) and the overnight parking is free (which is great). The front desk person is very professional and patient in explaining the parking situation. There is a working elevator which makes moving the luggage easy. I did not go for the breakfast. The location is also very central. The building is not new but the room and furnishing looks new and clean. Would stronlgy recommend this htoel.

Was close to everything.. clean and comfortable

We had never been to the area before. We were passing through. So we thought we were in the main part of town, which is a little backstreet old feel area. Cute, but the town has so much more.. The reception staff could have asked and told us where things were. We too could have asked.. Make sure you go find the Cathedral. It’s very impressive

Location and hotel great.

Parking was a challenge, we were en route back from 2 weeks holiday and had to unload everything from the car as parking was so far away. When I booked I understood there was paring but when we arrived at 6.45pm was all full. Sadly despite being a great hotel this would stop us staying en route to our holiday in the south again.
