We stayed for 5 nights with our son and had a lovely time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The pool options were good, offering variety. The location was really nice.

We weren’t entirely happy with the food. To be fair, for the price, the variety was quite good and there was plenty to choose from. However, since we were in Croatia, we were hoping for well-prepared seafood and fish — unfortunately, this was a little bit disappointing. That being said, considering the price and the wide selection overall, the hotel still offered good value for money.

- parking place: finding of free spot is quite difficult in main season. Parking place is not just for hotel quests, but for public visitors as well. During hot days sap / resin falls down from trees on cars. Unfortunately first night during a stay my brand new car was hit and scratched by public visitor without confession. - Room equipment remembers better times but still it serves its purpose

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; they also agreed that the price per day for a pet was very high (and communicated only after reservation!), so they offered a discount, which we found really fair. It is a very pet-friendly hotel; our dog felt very comfortable in the room, as there was plenty of space outside where he could move. The restaurant has a variety of food that is of good quality and well prepared. The room was impeccably clean, as were the other parts of the hotel.

I cannot really say it is value for money - for a 4*-hotel, one would expect a bit higher standard of facilities. That goes especially to general condition of the building, including the balcony, sauna&spa, dining terrace, There are small negligent details everywhere, which means lack of maintenance or just lack of care. The fridge in the room was almost non-working, the door handle was falling off, there should be much more privacy between one and another balcony, there were no pillows on balcony chairs... Yes, true, we should have reported those faults, but for two days one simply doesn't want to bother - I would expect it to be taken care of. The sea view was first and foremost the pool and pool restaurant roof view, plus the view of many other balconies of other rooms.

Location is simply brilliant, not much can beat the clear Croatian seawater and 1st row sea view. Perfect place to rest and unwind during winter. Sauna and pool are simply great (if not full - it might get packed over the weekend and in the summer). Breakfast and dinner are just great! Bathrooms have enough room, are updated and clean.

The rooms will need an update soon, especially the TV is lacking the 21st century features (tiny screen and no possibility to cast Netflix/Disney+). 3rd person must sleep on a (very hard) sofa. If they are already offering a 3-people room (for not-that-cheap), the 3rd place to sleep *should* be an actual bed, not a day sofa.

I stayed at Valamar Sanfior for 10 days. Without any hesitation, I can recommend this place, and everything was as good as promised or even better. Food options were very good, and dinner options were very diverse and excellent in quality. The place is very calm and quiet, and you can easily rest here for a long time (note that I was there after peak season, yet I can imagine even in high season, you can find yourself a calm place in a beautiful area around). The special distinction goes to the staff of Sanfior. All of them were super helpful, always smiling and always trying to make my stay perfect. Thank you for that! Highly recommended!

One and only minor comment here: having a low car, it is hard to scan your exit/enter card at the gates to the parking lot :)

The staff was exceptionally friendly. The room was big with a nice view on the sea. Both buffets for breakfast and dinner are of good quality. During the week it was very quiet - perfect to relax. On the weekend there were far more people around. It's nice that guests of the hotel get discounted rates for the set of sunloungers and parasol.

Having only one station where to change towels at the spa. With the size of the premises, a second one closer to the beach would be good. The room could use some renovation, but maybe it's just because it was the end of a long season. Matresses too soft for our liking.

The location is perfect. The food (breakfasts and dinners) was excellent as well as the staff - helpful and attentive. Room - nothing special except the nice sea view. The beaches are very good, well-equipped, great promenade path, amazing sea and views.

The problem was with the availability of beds on the beach. We noticed that some of them were sold out to people not from Valamar and we, who lived in Valamar, had to search for beds on other beaches. Beaches are public areas, which is OK, but many, not Valamar people used the Valamar territory just in front of our room causing noise during the day.

We probably got the last available room in the hotel, and unfortunately, it looked like it. On the bright side, the staff were very apologetic, and the next morning we were given a bigger, brighter, and much nicer room. As an additional apology, we also received a free lunch and a late checkout. Overall, it turned out to be a pretty good experience.

The staff is helpful and very nice. Food was amazing. Dinner had vegetarian and vegan options which we were very happy with. There are 2 outside pool areas so it wasn’t too crowded. The hotel is also encouraging to be green and sustainable, which we think is amazing. There are quite a few cute little messages/quotes on how to be more sustainable around the hotel, which we think is really important, so we loved it. We also love that the hotel is pet friendly.

Self serving coffee machine at the breakfast buffet could be a little bit better, but there are other coffee options, so it’s not a problem.

The place is huge! You can get lost in it. Everything is spotless clean and staff members are all super friendly and very helpful. Buffet dinner and breakfast are excellent and very organized and can handle an incredible amount of people without waiting lines. The flair is somewhat vintage-nostalgic. Apparently the place is famous for being family friendly, because there were many, many families with young kids. SPA and indoor pool are a little under sized and can be crowded.
