Perfect location! Right on the main street but still very quiet and peaceful. Close to the wonderful promenade by the sea (if you have problem with steps - like me cause of the injured knee - there are other ways to reach the sea shore). If available, do not hesitate to take a sea oriented room, the view from the balcony is great. Very good self-service breakfast & dinner. Nice and very friendly staff, special thanks & regards to Mateo! This hotel's general impression has improved a lot since our last visit in 2017.

The room vas very clean and quite well equipped, but some really small things would be welcome, for example removal of the scale coating on the shower hand and fixing the toilet which was a bit wobbly. However it did not spoil our stay at all.

Sipping my coffee with the sea as my backdrop was nothing short of magical. Convenience was another aspect that stood out. Located within an easy 8-minute stroll from the hotel, there's a spacious supermarket that stays open late, making last-minute shopping or midnight snacks a breeze. Additionally, the street leading away from the hotel teems with vibrant restaurants, promising a culinary adventure with every step. For those considering a stay here, I have a few heartfelt recommendations: Opt for a Sea View Room: If possible, splurge on a sea view room – the vistas are absolutely breathtaking, and I personally regret not having made that choice myself. The panoramic windows framing the Adriatic's serenity will undoubtedly become the highlight of your stay. Pack Personal Hygiene Essentials: It's worth noting that the hotel does not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, or slippers, so I suggest packing these essentials beforehand to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience. Overall, this hotel offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern comforts, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a relaxing yet adventurous getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay near the sea.

Indeed a truly old world hotel in a good way! Although it's slightly outdated and some things could use some refreshment, but they a too minor to mention really, because it's just such a nice place to stay in. Location is superb, the staff is very friendly and nice people. You should always book a room with sea view, it's unbeatable, even without a balcony, absolutely supperb. Now, the food they serve is just delicios. Breakfast is very rich and high quality, great coffee too! Dinner, although being a buffet is still very decent and tasty. If the weather allows there is a fantastic terrace from the restaurant where you can enjoy you meal and wine. Reserve parking and you will have a space in from of the hotel.

Shower holder was weak and it kind of fell off and the curtain was too long for the bath. Hope hotel will fix this, because it was the only thing I noticed with wasn't ok.

Omg I love hotel Lovran, this year we have already been in around 30 hotels around Europe both for business and leisure, and none of them and I’m talking about 5 star hotels had a service like in hotel Lovran. It’s amazing, it’s exactly how I remember it as a kid in the 80’s, were personell speaks at least 3 foreign languages other than Croatian (not counting other Balkanian languages that we like to imagine as foreign languages), were they’re witty and constantly cracking jokes with guests. And then the breakfast, my God nowhere in other EU countries can you get such a rich breakfast for 57€ per night per room. There is everything, warm, cold, fresh, whatever your heart desires even grilled vegetables (for breakfast) and then to top it all Linolada and Chocolino. And then you take your coffee from breakfast area outside to veranda and you have sea right in front of you and the most spectacular view of Kvarner bay. I couldn’t believe that somebody complained here about the plastic covers on the outside tables, omg you have such a view in front of you and you’re complaining about covers on the table. I advise people to go and try and get a similar hotel exactly at (not next to) the lake/sea at Lago di Como or Azzure coast around Cannes as these two areas remind me most to Volosko-Lovran/Kvarner bay area, out of the season for 57€ per night per room including breakfast. Not a chance. The value for money is amazing, and you’re staying in an old villa. Both my wife (who is btw. not Croatian) and me were so amazed that we wanna vote it best stay of the year. If I could I would give it 20.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Even though we arrived early at around 11 AM, well before the official check-in time of 2 PM, the lovely lady at reception went above and beyond to accommodate us. She not only arranged for an early check-in but also upgraded our rooms to beautiful sea-view rooms at no extra charge— an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture! The rooms were clean with comfortable beds and a breathtaking view of the sea. Breakfast was an absolute delight, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The attentive staff continuously ensured that all dishes were well-stocked. The hotel’s charming balcony was the perfect place to start the day. One of the best features of this hotel is its unbeatable location—the beach is literally at the doorstep, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the sea at any time. This accommodation offers outstanding value for money, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future. A perfect 10 out of 10!

Lovely old hotel with views of the sea. We had booked a double room with sea view but they upgraded us to a massive suite with lounge and dining room plus balcony overlooking the sea. We loved the views and relaxed loads. Check in was excellent as we arrived at 10am - expecting to leave our bags behind reception. But there was a room ready for us. The hotel is old fashioned in parts but has so much faded charm. We liked the evocative atmosphere of the old Hapsburg seaside resort! Good good at Pizza Delphino about 5 mins walk away.

Mateo, in particular, stood out for his professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request. His attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service were evident throughout my stay. Additionally, I must commend the wonderful lady at the reception who has been with the hotel for an impressive 21 years. Her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the area were invaluable. She provided fantastic recommendations and always greeted me with a genuine warmth that made my stay even more special. The hotel itself is old but charming, with comfortable rooms and beautiful views, but it’s the people who work there that make it truly exceptional. Their dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in every interaction. Breakfast is superb, view during breakfast time amazing. I highly recommend Hotel Lovran to anyone looking for a delightful and welcoming place to stay.

The room was spacious and very clean. The lounge of the hotel had an incredible view of the sea and the mountains, and there we were able to enjoy drinks and Croatian art (paintings from the 19th century). All staff were very professional and respectful from the reception desk to the cleaning service, especially the restaurant manager (Emil), who was very kind and nice to us. The food was delicious, well presented, with a great diversity of options. The christmas dinner was an incredible Croatian and italian buffet. We will certainly come back in the summer!!

Since I am travelling for business, most of the time I stay in budget hotels, for this reason I am usually not a person who writes reviews. my expectations from hotels are limited and standard. I wanted to write something nice for this hotel. This hotel is not a very new nor a super invested facility, but it has a team that takes good care of both the facility and its customers. I think the biggest asset of a hotel is that the team and the owner are happy with this job and make you feel it with small details whether they want to or not. This hotel will give you a warm and soulful experience on the beach in Lovran.

The location of the hotel, the vicinity of the beach (only a two minute walk) and the walking path of Opatijska rivijera. The staff was very welcoming and helped me with the relocation of my car since I could only use the parking hotel the first 3 out of the 4 days. The breakfast is generous and is constantly being replenished so you won't miss something if you arrive late at breakfast.

The main hall where the reception, the bar and the pool table are located has some rain stains on some parts of the ceiling. This should be fixed since this is the main room the tourists see when they first arrive at the hotel and may give off a bad first impression.
