I really appreciated the ability to have a late check in. We didn't arrive until almost 11 pm, and the check in was seamless since the room was unlocked waiting for us. I also loved that we were able to park right outside our room!! And we of course love that this place is dog-friendly!!

I appreciated the late check in, however, in a bigger city or if I was traveling alone, I'd be a little nervous about the door being unlocked with no staff on site. In general, I think it is better to have someone on site for any potential security issues.

The owner does a great job to keep the rooms remodeled/refreshed. He was also so patient giving us advice on where to fish and hike. Spirit Lodge is right downtown so all the shops, restaurants, and Grand Lake itself are within walking distance. The RMNP entrance is a short drive away.

The room was very nice, super clean , well appointed for cooking needs and looked recently renovated. Great location, in downtown right in the middle of restaurants and shops.

The queen bed room was small, compared to other rooms at this pricepoint & somewhat cramped. No air conditioning. Noisy fan in the bathroom

Great location right on Grand Avenue, close to shops and restaurants. Short walk to the lake. Staff was friendly, my visit was prior to Memorial Day, so town was quiet, which was great. Was travelling with my dog, the room was spacious, clean and had everything I needed. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The property looks on the outside like a fifty-year old log-cabin style lodge, but the interior is pretty much brand-new. New, very clean carpet and wood doors, walls, etc. Still super-lodgey, but new! Smack dab in the middle of the bar and restaurant section of town, park and walk to everything. We rented a boat for an hour and this photo shows the marina from the lake.

Excellent location. Pleasantly rustic room. Reasonable price for a tourist area. Nice to have a table and two chairs plus lots of desk space.

Though clean and neat, the room had a mildly unpleasant odor of cleaning chemical (or something). It became much less noticeable after a while. Bathroom is quite small, making it difficult to use.

Sweet little town on a beautiful lake. Great location for just hanging around and relaxing.

There was no way to turn on a fan so the room got VERY warm during the night. Only way to cool down was to open windows. Also, unfortunately, the Trail Ridge Road closed two days before we got there so the only way to Estes Park was a 4 hour detour around. If your plans were to go from one side of RMNP to the other, it’s a long detour.

Location was excellent. We checked in and walked 2 blocks to eat at Sagebrush BBQ (recommendation by the hotel). Hotel is nice, rustic and very comfortable. Very clean and easy access to RMNP entrance.

Only negative I could say was the noise from upstairs neighbors, but that is no reflection on the hotel itself.

The room was very clean and everything was in good working order. The room was on the small side so if you require a lot of space to spread out, this might not be a good fit for you. The property location is an easy walk to the local restaurants, etc.

Clean hotel. Large room. In an ideal situation. Unfortunately mid September is starting to be quiet in the town so some bars restaurants are not open every day.

No breakfast available and found it difficult to find suitable food other than Mexican type
