This was a B&B, a bit old fashioned and not quite what we had expected. Our hosts were very welcoming and charming (albeit we spoke little French and they little English). The room was rather basic - more suited for those staying and doing own cooking in the room... The surrounding area was nice, the grounds containing donkeys, goats, ducks and chickens. The family dog was a lovely beast! Breakfast was fine - nothing special, but perfectly adequate. We traveled to the nearest town to get food in the evening... a 6 minute drive away.

Room was rather small, having a toilet literally a meter away from the bed was not ideal. A few extra pillows woudl have been nice, along with a bedside lamp that shone a bit brighter!

The breakfast was excellent; Sandrine was a very good host. The room was small but comfortable; good mattress.

Le Malcotais was difficult to find. I asked for directions and I was told that directions would be sent to me; but they were not. In the dark and rain this created a real difficulty, which was eventually resolved by google maps.

Wonderful rustic country setting. Nicely decorated rooms and great breakfast.

Pillows were super soft and thin, and the bed was squeaky. The main gate sometimes was difficult to operate with the remote control.

The friendliness of the host, the quality and quirkyness of the place and the fantastic breakfast. The donkeys and the goats right in front of our gîte were lovely 😍, the place was so peaceful and welcoming after a really long days drive. Only a short drive away to shops and restaurants etc.

Absolutely outstanding address. The owner was charming, welcoming and keeps the grounds impeccable! A true jewel for anyone traveling to Rennes! The animals are a true bonus (e.g. donkey, dog)

Very good breakfast included in price. Large characterful room. Very clean with large comfortable bed. Private terrace. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Good stop en route to western ferry ports.

Beautiful location, great beds and bedding, good security, very child friendly. Breakfast was 5 star. Sandrine is a great host. The girls already miss Franklin the turtle.

Well simply said this is a little gem hidden in the French country said.It is consistent withe couple cottages/barn conversions. The owner managed to preserve the old building feeling with very careful attention to details. Breakfast was great French bread and butter with croissant s and pan cakes. The wife seems to prefer to have a bit extra but for me it great. The owner was exceptionally kind pleasant and helpful. We were allowed in with our cat and dog. Amazing place to stop overnight after landing from a ferry.Lots of parking space.Donkeys on the field.

It's hard to come up with anything.Fir us it was perfect.I guess some people might find not enough entertainment locally which is great for us. And the weather in the beginning of October was rather British.

A very satisfying breakfast.

WiFi was rather flaky and not very secure. The access password was one of the longest that I have ever seen.
