The hotel is conveniently located next to Gare Sud, despite this we did not have any issues with noise. The room was clean and spacious, the shower was quite big, which was an unexpected bonus, the hotel provides towels, shampoo, shower gel and hand soap; I did not use it but there was also a hairdryer. In the room we found a Nespresso machine with some coffee pods as well as a kettle with some teas and infusions. The staff were very welcoming and they looked after our luggage when we checked out, as we had a train later in the afternoon.

The bathroom door was quite stiff, so it would have been impossible to use the bathroom without waking everyone in the room, we decided therefore to keep it ajar, in case one of us needed it during the night.

Great location strainght at Rennes central railway station, same time surrounding area is modern, quiet & well maintained. Easy access to city downtown area within walking distance. Friendly and helpful english-speaking personnel ready to assist you.

Reception & lobby area provide quite limited space and may get crowded when congested with large groups of hotel guests travelling together, especially if early breakfast packages being distributed same time.

I liked the location. The staff were very helpful. The room was big and modern with a very clean bathroom. The breakfast was exceptional and I liked the fresh fruit which you don't often see at breakfast.

The heating in the rooms was set very high, it was like a sauna. The parking was not sign posted very well. we passed it by without noticing it. I know it is not your responsibility but since it is an underground car park it could do with a sign at the entrance. the parking was also very expensive. €40 for not much more that 24 hours. Maybe you could direct patrons to a less expensive one.

The main doors of the hotel are closed at night and there's no key to get in - my partner and I smoke, so when we wanted to go outside we had to ask a member of staff to let us out and in each time. They were friendly and helpful, it was just a bit of an awkward system!

I like that when you stay in Ibis you know what to expect. The hotel was very clean, the room was big, the shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable. The staff speak English and are friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated right next to the train and bus station which makes it a good base for travelling to other places in Brittany. The room faced the women's prison which in fact is a beautiful historical building in a green yard. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and the area looks safe.

Everything was fine and according to Ibis standards. I would like to have a fridge in the room, but as they do not provide a fridge in any Ibis hotels, it was understandable they did not have it here.

The location is excellent and easily accessed from the train station. The staff were very helpful and changed the room on request. The breakfast is exceptional and probably the best aspect of this hotel.

I booked room with two single beds but got a double bed. However this was rectified on request. There seemed to be an issue with the elevator. In order to work properly the door key must be used. A sign to this effect would be helpful inside.

Efficiency and location.

Directions to parking were confusing as there is a big difference between not being assigned a parking place and charging - both of which could be described as “free.” It would be helpful to have a handout in several languages that specifies details like street versus lot parking, how the room key card works in elevator and room, and direction to station.

Standard Ibis room with a great mattress, good-tasting breakfast, very friendly staff. Location right near the train station is also great to explore Rennes and Bretagne without a car.

The breakfast was not very varied (e.g. no vegetables), quite crowded and restocking not very fast as much as the staff tried to do this. Nothing else.

Easy access to the train station. Very clean in the hotel and surrounding area. Felt safe walking to get dinner. A nice town. Perfect for one or two night stay. We stayed one night - arrived by train and collected hire car the next morning so suited our needs.

No tea and coffee facilities in the room. You can get them in the lobby for a charge. Bathroom a bit odd but worked.

There’s no kettle, no way to have any hot drinks in the room, which is a bit of a downer, considering the price and also the distance you have to manage to get downstairs to the bar
