This is a lovely traditional French hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is perfectly located for a late arrival or early departure by train, and an easy pleasant walk to the pretty historic centre of Rennes.

Not really negatives, given the excellent value for money and charm but the decor is reasonably basic and a little old fashioned, deadlock keys for the rooms (much easier than a scan card, but means you need to keep an eye on where you keep it - as you need it to leave the room).

Having the breakfast even earlier than 6 AM was very appricable, I could grab some food before taking the first train at 6.30 AM at the station. The hotel is very well located in front of the train station. Teh staff is nice and the breakfast is good. The hotel is comfortable and present a very good value for the price.

There is nothing to dislike. It's a very decent hotel and it has a good value for a one night stay on a travel.

The location and the staff were exellent!

The sound proofing within the hotel isn't great so you can hear your room neighbours but this is only a problem if you're a light sleeper.

Super-frirndly staff, comfortable room, great and reasonably-priced breakfast.

We were on the 1st floor, and we could not safely leave our balcony window door open overnight because it gave onto a potentially accessible area. Perhaps a safety latch could be installed? It got uncomfortably hot.⁹

The Iranian reception girl treated us with free coffee as the coffee machine in our room didn't work, a big thanks to her! Great location, just outside the train station, quite an advantage if you're going to travel around.

Room was very clean and bed was very comfy. Breakfast was excellent and definitely worth the money. Staff were very helpful. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Lot of good restaurants nearby. It is conveniently located across from the train station.

Wifi connection was not very strong especially at night.

Its a friendly private town centre / railway hotel I have used before. Its ground floor bar area is being renovated

Its an old building and the sound proofing in corridors isnt the best. the coffee machines are new, a good idea, and not that frequent in France, but mine wouldn't heat the water.

Location was excellent. Hotel also had a lift which was a treat! Bed was comfortable. View of the plaza with full length window.

Shower head was not the greatest. For a longer stay nowhere to unpack to, other than hanging space.
